September 2013- Annoying "Any news?" texts, maternity leave and BABIES!

Looks like we need another new thread - we've been rather busy!

As previously- Welcome newbies! If anyone wants to join the Facebook group (better for sharing documents and pictures- especially picture of gorgeous babies), please message myself or jennimoo with your real life name and email address and we can add you to the group!

Bring on the irritating texts from family members and best friends to find out whether you've had your babies or not (like you wouldn't tell them.....), more weird and disgusting labour symptoms, more internal examinations than you can shake a stick at, and LOTS OF BABIES!

Ready, exciting! Must be rubbish to be last but we'll all be cheering when you deliver!

Thanks jenni. I expected to be late, but not to have to wait the full 42 weeks! Happy that the end is in sight now, induction on Monday & mw's are confident that they'll be able to go straight to breaking my waters so am hoping that I can still have a fairly natural birth even if I do get that far.

Good luck ready you will forget all about this horrible wait when baby gets here. They induced me like that and I went from water breaking to birth in just under 8hrs. Had drip too tho.

Lets hope I'm nice & quick too pink....can't believe I'm going to finally have my baby tomorrow! Seems a bit unreal after all this waiting....

Am off for a third sweep this morning in the hope it'll help, it's so annoying as i know cervix is ripe, thinning & dilated, plus i've lost the plug....I feel like contractions are the only thing I'm missing now!

That's exactly how I was and I actually had 2 big contractions the night before induction which woke me. I think I prob would have gone into labour anyway that day but was glad of the helping hand which made it so quick. Wishing you a sneeze birth

Had a really rough mw this morning....now feel like I've got a really heavy period (emotional & horrible cramps). Mw downgraded my bishop score which also upset me. Can't work out whether something is happening or it's just the result of a really rough sweep!

Hopefully she's done the job and it'll kick off now, the periody feeling could be the start.

I had those periody cramps after mine, and then they turned into contractions after a day. Hopefully yours will kick off sooner than that!

But it is a good sign!

They're 45 seconds & 6 mins apart....hope they continue!

Ooh good luck! Nice and long too... the hospital were very anti me going in until they were a full minute, even though mine were every 2.5 minutes and 50 seconds long!

Have you got a tens machine? If so, read the instructions now! Don't wait until they're so close together you have to plan it into your pacing!

Oooh! Hopefully ready has had to go to the hospital...

Sadly not, went for a walk & things have died down a bit....still got 14 hours before my induction tho ;-)
