Looks like we need another new thread Blush- we've been rather busy!

Up to date (ish) Stats thread here:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/a1694946-September-2013-STATS-THREAD

As previously- Welcome newbies! If anyone wants to join the Facebook group (better for sharing documents and pictures- especially picture of gorgeous babies), please message myself or jennimoo with your real life name and email address and we can add you to the group!

Bring on the irritating texts from family members and best friends to find out whether you've had your babies or not (like you wouldn't tell them.....), more weird and disgusting labour symptoms, more internal examinations than you can shake a stick at, and LOTS OF BABIES!

Can I join please! 39+5 Smile. Good to see so many babies making an appearance!

Readytosettle · 21/09/2013 19:17

I'm 39+5 too earlgray....ur welcome to join...as long as you don't plan on delivering before me! Wink

earlgray · 21/09/2013 19:20

Not likely to happen. Baby v content in there! Are you more than ready to deliver then?

earlgray · 21/09/2013 19:23

Ready- i just re read your previous posts. Sounds like you may be ready to pop anyday!

Readytosettle · 21/09/2013 20:43

I'm just impatient....I do feel pretty rough but can't work out whether or not anything's actually happening!

earlgray · 21/09/2013 20:47

Is this your 1st too? Its hard to know what to expect isn't it!

Readytosettle · 21/09/2013 20:53

Yep....and most of the people on this thread have already delivered now-including all my due date buddies (there are at least 50 babies so far) which just adds to the anticipation....I've never been good at waiting for things so pregnancy has felt like a very long process!!

fl0b0t · 21/09/2013 21:51

Hurrah :) sorry it was traumatic! What are these lovely babies trying to do to us? !

I know mine is messing with me today. Day 12 and I realised I was tired this afternoon. After we'd been out to watch the cycling, I changed his nappy in the car in Waitrose car park (who needs changing facilities??) And driver give with him screaming for a feed. 45 mins latched on when we got in and i needed my first day time nap since he arrived. Except twenty mins layer, he needed to feed again. Went to bed about nine desperate to get some kip and guess who has been feeding since ten past, ? Sleep pls

I'm sure I posted but its gone!

Congrats kitten!

Ready - I know I'm in the 'popped' group but I do know how you feel! Last weekend I was so fed up I think I probably made things slow down! On the plus side being later in the group has been super helpful for finding advice and support from others who have been thought it all before Smile

weeblewobbling · 22/09/2013 10:21

Congratulations to all you al - rarely get to view this thread but use fbook

I've skimmed the pages and had a good giggle at "Roy" and wedding attire stories ha!

Ds is now over a month - how did that happen? !

CharlW1 · 22/09/2013 12:38

Congratulations to everyone Smile havent been on for ages as I only came on here on my phone and I had to get my phone repaired due to a baby sick incident. Will catch up properly now.

juniper9 · 22/09/2013 19:05

I'm still cooking, but not that surprising seeing as my official due date is still a week off. Bah.

PurplePoppySeed · 23/09/2013 00:02

Juniper - still decorating?

Anyone still cooking - I've got to say I still think the sleep advice is rubbish as you can't bank it, but the batch cooking has been so useful, we're on day(night) 5 and have almost gone through everything I cooked but its been brilliant to be able to have at least one home cooked meal each day with minimal effort!

fl0b0t · 23/09/2013 01:10

Husband had done some great cooking!

I'm feeling frustrated this Eve (morning? ) . During the day Robin sleeps, wakes to feed and is happy in the mosses basket or being cuddled. He feeds ten to 25 mins every 3 hours Ish. At night he doesn't. I came to bedat nine as I was tired and an Yet to sleep at one am. He refuses to settle with either of us and won't even sleep in our arms let alone be put down. He fed for 45 minsjust after I came to bed then s further 5 and has been alternating feeding and screaming since then.

We have tried everything-warming the mosses basket, trying to create a night time routine, burping, not burping, nappy change, no nappy change, sound, no sound. ......and nothing seems to settle him. Once he has fed if I don't burp him he might settle for a bit but won't be put down and eventually starts screaming and thrashing again. Cant win. Help!

Hi all, sorry I've been so quiet but my laptop broke so been unable to log in.

Huge congratulations to everyone who's had their babies over the past few weeks.

fl0b0t we have had exactly the same problem. Little one feeds and settles fine in the day, with good stints in between feeds but at night he is a nightmare. He cried from his 10pm feed to his 2am feed last night. If I tried to feed him he ends up using me like a dummy, when we try a dummy he spits it out - we can't win.

earlgray · 23/09/2013 10:34

So exciting hearing all your new babies stories! I feel the same about sleep purple, since I've been on maternity I'm up late and sleep late and feel way worse that I used to! I miss my own routine but maybe that's good preparation!
I've just had a lovely dream about BFing so really can't wait to get going now!

Peregrin · 23/09/2013 10:39

I'm cooking occasionally since otherwise my options are shop bought pizza, shop bought tortellini and omelettes by DH. The standard of the fare I offer has slid downhill, however. I think of it as incentivising DH to learn how to cook!
(Our fridge is the size of a handkerchief so batch cooking has sadly not been an option.)

juniper9 · 23/09/2013 15:51

We finished the baby's room on Wednesday, so that's a relief. Now just have the entire downstairs to do. I have to keep telling DP that I'm not up for heavy duty stuff- he wanted me to come with him to the tip so we could get rid of all of the old underlay and carpet. I rarely say no to DIY stuff because I hate the idea of being limited, but I did have to explain that I am full term!

We went into the centre of London the other day, and that was actually a bit scary as it's quite far from the hospital, and seeing as I need antibiotics as soon as my labour starts, a long commute home isn't ideal. Also can't walk very well anymore. Think I'm going to be house bound from now onwards.

dakomponist · 23/09/2013 18:41

Baby komponist born this morning by c-section, 16 days overdue. As yet she has no name but is a delight- weighing just under 7 pounds. C section was great and I've been ok so far though I wonder what recovery holds in store. It is hard not being able to be as physically able as I would like- however it's probably no worse than the last few days when walking could be pretty uncomfortable too.

So happy to have her at last. She taken to BF really well do far too.

juniper9 · 23/09/2013 20:29

Congratulations :-) She must have been tiddly at 40 weeks if she's under 7lbs at 42! How come they let you go over by +16?

Hope you're enjoying all of your cuddles

TripleRock · 23/09/2013 20:38

Congratulations!! My elcs is booked for 16 days over too but only +8 today, so I could be waiting a while...

PurplePoppySeed · 24/09/2013 01:31

Congratulations Smile

fl0b0t · 24/09/2013 03:49

Hurrah for another baby!

Tonight I'm lacking in patience. Someone is finally sleeping soundly in my arms but after almost 4 hours of screaming, brief feeds, thrashing about and more screaming I'm loathe to our him down and potentially break the silence. Especially as he hadn't been winded and he gets really burpy and a bit vommy when I lie himflat. Getting tearful helps nothing but it is so frustrating.

Weareboatsremember · 24/09/2013 05:58

Hi fl0, is your baby feeding properly? What you describe about his screaming and not being put down sounds very much like how my baby was when she wasn't feeding correctly and was constantly hungry. Just a suggestion as its a quick fix that makes a massive difference - we now have what seems like a different baby compared to her first week of inconsolable screaming.

fl0b0t · 24/09/2013 07:11

wee sends to be feeding fine. Lots of wet nappies. When I finally get him on the boob at night after all the thrashing he feeds
