Looks like we need another new thread Blush- we've been rather busy!

Up to date (ish) Stats thread here:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/a1694946-September-2013-STATS-THREAD

As previously- Welcome newbies! If anyone wants to join the Facebook group (better for sharing documents and pictures- especially picture of gorgeous babies), please message myself or jennimoo with your real life name and email address and we can add you to the group!

Bring on the irritating texts from family members and best friends to find out whether you've had your babies or not (like you wouldn't tell them.....), more weird and disgusting labour symptoms, more internal examinations than you can shake a stick at, and LOTS OF BABIES!

Hang on in there all you still-pregnant ladies, it can't last for ever, but I know how frustrating it is (went 12 days over this time and 14 with DS).

I've had an ok night after an awful evening with B. I'm down in Devon staying with my parents and two very enthusiastic and curious springer spaniels while DH strips and re varnishes the kitchen floor (I wanted to keep baby away from the smelly fumes). She screamed the house down from 7.30 to midnight, the first half hour of which I was in the bath and determined to harden my heart and ignore it. Then I just had to feed and put up with her howling for the next few hours. She gets wind bubbles that can only be relieved by walking her round the room (we call it The Rule Of Up, same as DS, if lying down and they're unhappy, sit up, if sitting is no good, on your shoulder, if still no good stand up and walk around with them)

Still got perineum pain that is making me walk and sit rather gingerly and I can't stand up for long periods of time or it feels like there's another baby coming out. GP said on monday it all looked normal, just needs more time to heal and strengthen, so I can only treat the symptoms and therefore bought arnica cream at boots yesterday. It was 3 for 2 on multivitamins and all sorts of complementary remedies, so I got the arnica, a tea tree cream and some multivitamins for about £10.

I had a show after the 1.5 mile walk to the reflexologist yesterday morning, nothing since then tho. Baby was really active last night too & my bump is do sore & uncomfy that I'm really struggling to sleep now. Going to try another walk today to see if it helps some more. So glad this is DH's last day at work....I don't want to do this on my own anymore!

My thoughts are with you Ready, Fozzie and Juniper - they always come out in the end!

fl0b0t · 03/10/2013 17:59

Sounds good ready :)

Rake - if got that heavy feeling down below right before it all finished healing up so hopefully the beginning of the end of the discomfort.

And good luck ready and fozzie! Hope to read tomorrow that your babies are on their way!

Fozziebearmum2be · 04/10/2013 10:21

Wow...well something spectacular did happen yesterday Smilewent into proper labour!

Baby girl born early this morning - 3:30am in the pool, hypnobirthing and gas/air! AND she's 8lb 12! Smile

Anyways I'm utterly smitten despite opting for physiological third stage which didn't quite go to plan.... So have to stay overnight, but don't mind as long as I can spend my time gazing at her Smile

Best of luck to Ready/Juniper - looking forward to your news soon

X

Readytosettle · 04/10/2013 10:59

Ah well done fozzie that's excellent news! I ended up calling the hospital yesterday & they're much nicer than the community mw's. Been up there for an extra sweep this morning & they were much more thorough/ got a proper grasp of the babies head! They were so much more positive which has really put me at ease & they said I can go back for a 3rd attempt on Sunday if I want to :-)

fl0b0t · 04/10/2013 12:08

Hurrah fozzie sounds like my delivery... Did you nd up in theatre to get that pesky placenta out?

ready glad the mw are bing more thorough.... You will have a baby soon!

Best of luck Ready :-) sending you contraction vibes!

Not quite the same, but it was touch and go for a bit as they couldn't work out what was wrong with me! Thankfully didn't end up in theatre... but felt dreadful! Shock

The third stage went well, but I must have needed a wee but couldn't go post birth so ended up with extra bleeding and had a catheter which felt worse than the birth but it worked thankfully. So they're making me stay in overnight.

Woo fozzie well done, brilliant news! And good luck ready and everyone still waiting... Sending positive opening up thoughts your way!
Fraser went to his first ballet today on his 7 week birthday ;) (I took DS2 aged 3 to northern ballet 's the ugly ducking, with lunch out, bus, shopping etc ) all worked beautifully, and even back in time to pick DS1 up from school, with 1 min to spare (!), feeling knackered now yet superhuman!

PurplePoppySeed · 04/10/2013 18:07

Yey fozzie and almost yey ready!

Fozzie - hope you're enjoying your little one xx

Ready - hope you & DH enjoyed your last free weekday together for a while xx

Readytosettle · 04/10/2013 18:49

It was great...we went bowling, played on the arcade games (I even had a go at the dance machine), lunch at Chimichangas, cinema for a movie & then a sunset walk along the Thames :-) Just 2 more days to go!

juniper9 · 04/10/2013 18:54

Well an hour after my sulky post, I started having contractions. Went in at 2am and baby was born at 7:34! Fairly quick stuff.

No name as of yet but she's happy and healthy, and is showing any signs of step b which is a massive relief Smile

Sorry to queue jump those who are still waiting. Definitely would recommend asking all and sundry to perform sweeps.

Readytosettle · 04/10/2013 20:55

You have indeed jumped the queue juniper so I will sit here on the preggo shelf and angrily shake my fist at you! I think I am now officially the last preggo standing....which means the baby has no more reason to hang in there- wooden spoon awarded, lets just hope he's not going for some kind of record!

PinkApple86 · 04/10/2013 21:00

Hang on in there ladies still waiting. I had my baby boy on Tuesday at 40+12. Induced by water breaking and drip as his heart beat was fluctuating and they were worried it was meconium, luckily not. Fast labour considering it was first baby. Under 8 hours from waters being broken to birth. All the waiting and overdueness forgotten in an instant. He's amazingGrin

juniper9 · 04/10/2013 23:20

My waters didn't break until baby turned up. Bit surprised they didn't pop them earlier.

CheeseStrawCraving · 05/10/2013 03:51

Yay, well done ladies! Sending labour thoughts your way Ready. Come on baby!!

PurplePoppySeed · 05/10/2013 07:54

Juniper - my waters didn't go either, until I was in the water and 10 mins before the head!

Peregrin · 05/10/2013 08:40

Baby B was born yesterday morning at 40+6. Not horribly overdue but felt like it after weeks of false labour! I'll report back after I've figured out our current problem with breastfeeding. At first he figured out how to suck on my nipples, but every time he got it right he'd suck once or twice and then just hang there. By the evening he seems to have forgotten how to work at it, and would just fuss around clearly hungry and upset that the goodies are no longer on tap the way they were in his previous lodgings. The midwife on the night shift ended up bringing me a nipple shield which got him happily sucking away.

PinkApple86 · 05/10/2013 15:44

congrats peregrin on the birth of your little boy. Hope u get BF going soon. I'm on day 4 now and it's tough and ouchie but I've found the midwives helpful and BF board very friendly on here. I'm determined to succeed! Thanks

PurplePoppySeed · 05/10/2013 17:21

Congrats perigrin keep at it and I'm sure you'll get there, 2.5 weeks in and DD still forgets when really tired and then crys her eyes out!

ready it sounds like you had a great day on Friday Smile good luck for Monday it bab doesn't arrive sooner!

Is anyone else still waiting?

Readytosettle · 05/10/2013 17:50

I did thanks....lost my plug this avo so lets how that's a sign something is happening!

CheeseStrawCraving · 05/10/2013 17:55

Ready are you last?

Readytosettle · 05/10/2013 18:07

I think so....certainly on fb but not sure about here!
