Looks like we need another new thread Blush- we've been rather busy!

Up to date (ish) Stats thread here:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/a1694946-September-2013-STATS-THREAD

As previously- Welcome newbies! If anyone wants to join the Facebook group (better for sharing documents and pictures- especially picture of gorgeous babies), please message myself or jennimoo with your real life name and email address and we can add you to the group!

Bring on the irritating texts from family members and best friends to find out whether you've had your babies or not (like you wouldn't tell them.....), more weird and disgusting labour symptoms, more internal examinations than you can shake a stick at, and LOTS OF BABIES!

Thanks MrsM, pregnancy is just a world of new experiences! Grin

Triple and rake, I feel your pain, or lack thereof. Now 40 + 4. Have had pretty much constant lower back pain since about 5 this morning. Trying not to read too much into it. Don't want to take any painkillers in case it goes away. I need to believe that something might be happening. Induction is now booked for 15th, which still seems far enough away for me to ignore, it ain't gonna happen(!). My mum has offered to take the kids to her house tonight (she'd be having them if I was in labour). DH is now looking forward to a child-free weekend and has instructed me not to go into labour until after that!

badguider · 06/09/2013 12:00

Went to the bf clinic today and the wee one clearly has tongue tie (as does dh - though id never noticed) which he was managing with ok till my milk came in but now restricts him getting latched, particularly on the bigger side.
Giving him expressed milk top ups for now after each gentle bf attempt and appt will be next Friday.

TripleRock · 06/09/2013 13:11

Glad they were able to spot the TT Badguider and glad they're sorting it for you.

fl0b0t · 06/09/2013 14:53

Glad the TT is getting sorted- sounds like it happens a lot?

Damn painful BH across the top of the bump again this afternoon (but I did get to meet a gorgeous 1 week old baby of a lady from my antenatal class).

Ouchie :(

PurplePoppySeed · 06/09/2013 16:34

Ohhh do you think meeting the baby brought them on? They do say meeting new babies is a good way to get yours moving Wink

fl0b0t · 06/09/2013 16:58

Who knows- he was super cute!! :-) had to spend the afternoon in the bath! Feeling better now though...

I had a cuddle with a gorgeous 4 week old baby this morning - was hoping it would get those hormones flowing! Am going to have a v v hot takeaway curry tonight.

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 06/09/2013 18:55

Goulash for lunch with extra chilli sauce, pad Thai for dinner with extra chilli sauce.

Induction "discussion" appointment at hosp on Sunday morning. Sad

OUT OUT OUT!

Congrats on the TT fix, bg, and whoo hoo yay! for people with new symptoms..

BinarySolo · 06/09/2013 19:56

Can someone point me in the direction of the Facebook group please? Would love to see pictures of everyone's babies and of course share mine.

kimjayne · 06/09/2013 20:20

40 + 2 today and no signs or labour symptoms as yet! Getting very stabby (knitting needle up the whats-it) type pains again! But ive had them quite a lot in the past so nothing new there. Anyone else getting similar pains?

jennimoo · 06/09/2013 20:38

Binary - inbox me your FB email address and real name and ill add you to the group. It's secret so that's the only way to find it.

fl0b0t · 06/09/2013 21:11

Sounds positive kim

I'm now in my second hot bath of the day (post paracetamol) as I'm having my second bout in 6 hours of awful excruciating bh pains top of bump. Nothing can make it go away ( tried birthing ball, standing, sitting, all fours, yoga. ...) no other proper symptoms just pointless angry pain!

I'm going to need a trip to the library on Monday as I'm going to run out of books!

BinarySolo · 07/09/2013 02:09

I've pmed you jennimoo, thanks.

Fl0 are you sure it's bh? I didn't think that was supposed to be painful. Could it be early labour?

kimjayne · 07/09/2013 08:06

thats the frustrating thing flobot, im not sure its a sign of anything really. Ive been getting these stabby sensations 'down below' for about 4 or 5 weeks now I reckon. I was under the impression these were due to baby getting lower and getting engaged but baby was already 2/5 engaged when I last went to see the mw.. Im still getting really sharp jabs though. Anyone else noticed these?

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 07/09/2013 09:51

Morning. Still here. Still grumpy. No twinges. The only stabby thing round here is my temper.

MrsMangoBiscuit · 07/09/2013 10:32

Morning Rake, me too.

My stupid, stupid back has decided that now is a good time to pop out of allignment (old injury) so I'm waddling and limping. Getting lots of back/hip/bump pains, but nothing even remotely hopeful, all just from being stretched to my limits, and my stupid back!

TripleRock · 07/09/2013 10:44

I'm getting the stabby pains, have been off and on for a few weeks.

I thought it was baby trying to engage, but stilll on the brim at 39w so clearly not!

Readytosettle · 07/09/2013 11:05

Flo are u getting any other things like blurred vision, dizziness, swelling, headaches etc? Pain at top of bump can be a symptom of pre-eclampsia...give the mw a call if ur not sure. Better to be safe...

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 07/09/2013 11:29

Oh how helpful. My stabby index has just climbed a few notches. MIL has informed us it is her birthday on Monday and they are going away on holiday on Friday, so baby had better make an appearance soon smiley emoticon no pressure la la la.

FFFFFUUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKK OOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 07/09/2013 12:51

Rake, I so feel your pain. I was told off because BIL is down from London and he "is disappointed that he can't see the baby". Oh I am so very sorry not to have given birth at his convenience!

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 07/09/2013 12:53

Oh and Kim yes, I am getting loads of that jabbing pain. Thoroughly unpleasant!

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 07/09/2013 14:19

yeah. Coz it's all about the wider family's convenience isn't it!

I do feel guilty and churlish for two reasons - this thread is full of happy news and people excited to meet their babies and getting to grips with the early days of BF-ing etc and I don't want to cast a shadow on that, so ThanksThanks sorry ThanksThanks to all the lovelies that I am being so mardy! But secondly, the PILs are the only people badgering us for news and also the only ones who seem to be assuming they will visit straight away. I am quite tempted to write back today and tell them to re-set their expectations about when they see baby because there is with every day that goes by there is for various reasons an increasing possibility that I or baby won't be up for visitors by the time they go on holiday, no matter what day baby is born. In fact I think I will try to write that, as kindly as I can. I wouldn't want baby to arrive tonight for example and them then to feel that we were punishing them with no invite to visit, for having nagged and badgered.

Oh and a third reason I feel guilty/churlish... This one's a bit of an AIBU...! I really don't want baby to arrive on MIL's birthday and spend his/her whole childhood being expected to phone and talk to an increasingly old lady on their birthday. Birthdays are for kids, right?

Couple of monster BHs this afternoon so far. I just raise my eyebrow at them now in an "is that the best you can do?" sort of way. Braxton Schmaxtons.

fl0b0t · 07/09/2013 17:57

thanks ready- I've been worrying a bit about the same thing!
I've got swelly hands and feet, slight fuzzy vision but no problems with protein in urine or BP issues...?!
binary not really all that sure- MW said BH last time i told her about it, but had 4 episodes in 10 days of it :(
Will chat to her at my next appt unless anything gets worse....
