Hi girls thought as that thread it quite full we could start a new one here.
Hope you don't mind pink.
How you girls all feeling today? I swear I keep forgetting I'm pregnant when symptoms disappear randomly. But I'm at such early stages, one of the babies of the bunch at just 5+2

I am so annoyed with my Drs.

I went on Monday for my booking in appt and was given a leaflet with a number for my antenatal department on there, they told me to ring the number today to be given a scan appt date. So I dutifully rang only to be told they no longer give the appointments out over the phone they send letters.

I am so not in the mood for more pissing about. I know it seems very petty, but I have a bit of history with my Drs (it's a medical centre) providing incorrect info/messing up appointments etc from when I had so much trouble getting the mirena coil removed, it really feels like they are just totally incompetent and cannot get the smallest thing right. Angry

During the coil removal saga, the Dr couldn't find it for removal, so had to refer me for an ultrasound to find it, I was obviously very anxious and after three weeks with no appt or referral, and much pestering of the Dr's office, found they hadn't even sent the referral form!

Then I had the ultrasound, a week later went back to my Dr for results as I was told to, they hadn't come in yet. So I had to go back a few days later, again when I arrived they hadn't received the results, I was in a foul mood by then and had to wait for over 2 hours whilst the receptionist tried to get the ultrasound place to send over a fax, I got so annoyed I rang the clinic, asked them what fax number they were using and repeated this to the receptionist, it was the wrong fax number!

Sorry for the rant, I just wanted to display why even the smallest fuck up by them fills me with dread and frustration. Nothing with them if ever smooth sailing or simple.

crazycranberry · 04/09/2013 16:24

Yay! I had my scan this morning and was relieved to see a weeny blip on the screen and a heartbeat! its just over 9mm. Eeeny weeny! lol
I am so glad I paid for a private scan as I would have gone mad with impatience waiting until 10th Oct! I am 7+2 but the sonographer said they will date properly at NHS 12week scan! Smile

chocchaffinch - hope you got the repeat prescription! Hmm

Bodeccia twins! how very exciting! congrats. Shock

catameringue glad your scan went well Smile. Its so cool to be able to see such a small thing.

Cannotbelieveit · 04/09/2013 19:44

Great scan news everyone xxx

Still no sickness just ravenous hunger!

6+4 Smile

moominleigh94 · 04/09/2013 21:04

Hi :) found out I'm pregnant two days ago, EDD is kind of between 25th and 30th April so could be a May baby if I go over but who knows? :)

So I'm about 6 weeks... no idea + what, this baby wasn't planned (I'm 19 and about to start my second year of university) but hey... no time like the present!

Nausea is awful, quickly progressing into sickness at this rate... blahh :/

moominleigh94 · 04/09/2013 21:04

Also, I'm craving bread and butter like mad, but the sight of butter turns my stomach!

Trinpy · 04/09/2013 21:43

hi moomin and congratulations. I'm also studying for a degree at the moment. It's all a bit overwhelming with the pregnancy thrown in as well, isn't it?

I was far too smug yesterday about my symptoms going. Have spent all day being sick and feeling exhausted. God only knows how I'm going to get through work tomorrow.

Great to hear that everyones scans have gone well.

moominleigh94 · 04/09/2013 22:03

Thanks Trinpy . I'm doing a performance degree so very practical, but reckon we'll just have to work around me having a bump for some of it :D

catameringue · 04/09/2013 22:10

Hi moomin! Welcome.

My 'bean' was 6.4mm. Hard to believe such a small thing is causing me to feel this unwell.

How's everyone doing clothes wise? I have a tummy due to pcos so jeans are normally tight, last week they were super tight. I wear casual clothes to work so I'm worried about fitting into my jeans.

I have 3 weddings to go to between now and November. Due to my big tummy I'd normally go for boned and tight waisted dresses. My nightmare is wearing a maternity dress that makes me look 33 weeks rather than 13.

moominleigh94 · 04/09/2013 22:47

I'm quite lucky... future SIL's wedding was last April (I was a bridesmaid :D ), and next wedding after that is a cousin's next August... only problem is, the invite is for two rather than three Blush

Aanchismum · 04/09/2013 22:59

Hi Nevergoogle ..my due date is May 1st..lol..My Due Date!!! Yoohoo I'm actually pregnant.. I'm 6 weeks 1.5 day today ;) its been smooth sailing till now (touch wood).. no morning sickness or any strong symptoms. When is your due date? have you had any symptoms?

moominleigh94 · 05/09/2013 06:50

Woken up stupidly early (for me, anyway), sore boobs and feel sick... exhausted but don't feel like I'll be able to get back to sleep. Is that normal?

BartBaby · 05/09/2013 06:55

Another one here feeling rubbish this morning

Got woken up by dh getting up and getting ready at 6am. Now ds is awake so no chance of going back to sleep Sad I'm so tired I could actually cry. Doesn't help being awake god knows how many times in the night to go pee! And now I'm in a foul mood before I've even got out of bed.

Oh well midwife booking in this morning. At least it will give me longer to get my arse in gear and get ready. Going to have to take ds so I hope it doesn't take too long!

Welcome to the newbies. I hope everyone is not feeling too bad this morning.

Fairypants · 05/09/2013 07:16

Good morning all!
Sorry so many are feeling rubbish this morning. I'm feeling the standard amount of rubbish so hoping it will pass.
I'm getting a bit worked up worrying about SPD at the moment. I knew from the start it will happen at some point and just trying to put everything in place to minimise it but I've already started slight aches in my hips. I'm actually considerably more worried about this than about the birth.

moominleigh94 · 05/09/2013 07:24

I am so unprepared for this :'( having a little wobble right now, seeing all these terms like SPD and things and I had no idea any of it existed. Major wobble time Sad

Vikkijayne2507 · 05/09/2013 07:38

woke up feeling ill and was sick but as I had nothing in my stomach it was just disgusting acidy stomach muck and I really have to chair meetings today im hoping i wont be sick again but i dont think im going to get away with it. Have my booking in appt today and I hate blood tests they also make me throw up its going to be a looong day.

9 + 3 wks

Cannotbelieveit · 05/09/2013 08:50

CazInLondon · 05/09/2013 09:07

Well hello everyone... Been lurking around here for a while but never posted, so I think it's about time I introduced myself!

I'm 33 years old and 7+2. Feeling a bit weird about this pregnancy as I have a 10 month old DS and I am scheduled to return to work in 5 weeks, just around the 12-13 weeks mark when it is safe to tell the world. Needless to say I am absolutely terrified at the idea of having to tell work "Oh by the way, I'm off to have another baby in 6 months!", just as they welcome me back! It's tempting to warn them in advance but I had a MC before DS so don't feel comfortable with that.

Like many of you I have been feeling quite rubbish and sometimes feel down at the idea that I was also pregnant this time last year! But hopefully when the hormones start to clear up and if I get to see a wriggly little baby on the 12 weeks scan I'll be more positive about everything. The whole world seems tainted by morning sickness at the moment!

So, look forward to chatting with you all and sorry for the moaning. Even though I'm scared at the idea of raising kids with a 17 months age gap (scary, yes, but plenty have done it before), I realise how lucky I am to be able to get pregnant in the first place, when so many people struggle!

xx

Goldenhandshake · 05/09/2013 09:09

Morning everyone, quite violent sickness again this morning, still puking blood too.

But no diarrhea, I take this as a blessing as usually I get both first thing in the orning.

How depressing is that, it's a good day because I vomited but didn't get diarrhea. Sad

Goldenhandshake · 05/09/2013 09:11

Oh, forgot to add 10+1

Cannotbelieveit · 05/09/2013 09:14

Welcome caz! I have a 5 month old DS so there will be a 12 month gap!! I'm going back to work in. December when I will be approaching 20 weeks and will have to keep it secret til then! I'm sure people at work will have lots to say! Both my pregnancies have been surprises but my DS is a blessing and I know I will be able to cope with 2!

6+5 Smile

ChocChaffinch · 05/09/2013 10:33

hullo newbies. my scan is 18th sep so not too long to wait now. Bit scared as have had a MMC before, but, what will be will be.

10+0 today huzzah

mamapants · 05/09/2013 10:51

Lots of scans this week am very jealous.
My midwife has finally phoned back so she's coming round to do my booking in on sunday at 2pm and she's got in touch with hospital to arrange my scan.
So finally feels a bit more real.
We are currently concentrating on night weaning my DS so a bit tired after disturbed nights but not too bad considering. I guess I'm just used to disturbed nights now.
Have to tidy up house by sunday now! Before mw comes round. And it is a proper state, between having a 13mnth old making a mess, being tired and ending up asleep at 7pm and having a DP who is working on our renovation around the clock - our housework really isn't getting priority at the moment.

prettyinpink90 · 05/09/2013 14:13

I'm jealous at everyone's scans too! My private early scan isn't until the 15th and then who knows how long it could until my 12 week scan.

mama I can totally relate to your exhaustion, it's really taking it out of me. I can just about make dinner but then need a nap to get me through the washing up and then im usually falling asleep again by 9am.
