Hi girls thought as that thread it quite full we could start a new one here.
Hope you don't mind pink.
How you girls all feeling today? I swear I keep forgetting I'm pregnant when symptoms disappear randomly. But I'm at such early stages, one of the babies of the bunch at just 5+2

Cannotbelieveit - 12 months, wow! I'll stop freaking out then :) You sound so relaxed about it, amazing. One of my friends has two 14 months apart, she says of course it was tough for the first couple of years, but now they are best friends which is great. It does suck with work though, doesn't it. I keep on worrying about what my colleagues will think, and then tell myself that when I hold my newborn or in a few years' time I possibly won't even remember some of these colleagues' surname. It's just a tough moment to go through but ultimately, my family is more important!

xx

Xavielli · 05/09/2013 14:42

My older two are 15 months apart and the younger two are 14 months. I love the small age gaps :) I'm worried about 2 years & 3 months this time as its so alien to me.

Feel so yuck today :(

Cannotbelieveit · 05/09/2013 16:03

Caz like you say we won't be the last !! I'm looking forward to them being close when they are bigger xx

Trinpy · 05/09/2013 17:05

Did we all survive today? Thank god the working days over. I spent most of this morning hiding in the loos, nibbling on ginger biscuits and hoping I wouldn't be sick again. I'm actually tempted to just throw up in front of everyone and so I can finally stop pretending I'm fine when I feel like crap. And the extra day off work to catch up on sleep would be a nice bonus Grin .

CazInLondon · 05/09/2013 17:52

Xavielli, you Superwoman!!

Trinpy when I was expecting my first and dealing with feeling total rubbish at work, my colleagues constantly thought I had a hangover. Erm, thanks?!

Hope tomorrow goes better than today for you... It's amazing how quickly you forget how crap the first 12 weeks feel (unless you're one of the very unlucky ladies who have to deal with it throughout pregnancy... Just the thought makes me shudder...). I have been feeling sick and generally 'meh' from the minute I wake up in the morning and it all came flooding back. But what I also remember from the last time is how AMAZING you feel in the second semester, once the sickness subsides, you feel like you suddenly remember how good life used to be!

So for now, there's something to look forward to :/

xx

I have been suffereing the last 3 days, threw up my dinner on Tuesday night, felt ill and couldnt get out of bed on Wednesday felt ill all day, and today was sick all morning feeling awful cried down the phone to my manger sounding like an emotional wreck awesomeness. I felt better at about 2pm and then I had my booking in appt with midwife at 2.40. I was proud I didnt throw up at the blood test as i always used to and she sent off info for my 12 wk scan so should get a letter through in next week or so. heres hoping all goes smoothly.

9 + 3 (although midwife put 9 + 4 wks on my notes)

cookielove · 05/09/2013 19:06

Hello all, so sorry to hear some of you having a rush time.

Still no sickness for me, which is really good as i really can't stand being sick!! Lots of gagging and feeling sick which feels horrible to me. At work there has been a stink in my fridge which has been making gag and retch, but i have been managing to hold it in thank god

I also almost collapsed last night through dizzyness, no dinner and stuck in a really hot store could place my feet down and stay up, it was really scary as that was the first time i felt that bad.

I'm getting my scan at 12+5 Shock so looking forward to it!!

I am 10 weeks today!!

middleclassdystopia · 05/09/2013 19:10

So true CazinLondon. I'm expecting dc3 and 7+6 I feel ruuuuuuubish. You'd think I would have remembered third time round but no I'd forgotten.

I'm really happy to be expecting again but can't enjoy life at the moment. Roll on second trimester!

catameringue · 05/09/2013 19:14

My first day back at work today wasn't too bad - people eating fishy lunch at their desks was unpleasant.

Had a sarnie at work and got home and gobbled a sharing bag of crisps. I didn't share it with anyone.

I admire all those dealing with this who have children already. I wouldn't have the energy.

I finally phoned the midwife and have booking in appt in 4 weeks.

mamapants · 05/09/2013 19:58

Oh well done catameringue glad you phoned the midwife.

Well stage one of cleaning the house before midwife comes round done. Feel like its been a long day. 6am start with DS, work from 8-4, with a meeting at the bank during lunch break. Picked up DS, made us dinner. DS to bed. Cleaned bathroom and emptied dishwasher, two loads of clothes in wash and now finally get to sit down and relax!

ChocChaffinch · 05/09/2013 20:16

medal for you, mamapants

drugs have allowed me to eat a load of food this evening :-) mmm tonnes of pasta

mamapants · 05/09/2013 20:27

Mmmmm I want pasta now chaffinch
Glad you are keeping your food down.

Bodeccia · 05/09/2013 20:38

Welcome newbies xx

I was so exhausted yesterday after work that I went straight to bed without dinner. Just wasn't hungry.

I'm slightly less freaked out by the twins news, I guess it takes time for things to sink in.

I feel like I'm getting a bump already. My trousers are too uncomfortable, and I'm only 7+4 for goodness sake!

I haven't had the vomiting that some of you ladies are experiencing, and that's a blessing. Just. So. Tired. Zzzzzzzzz

ChocChaffinch · 05/09/2013 21:08

twins is amazing. wait til you find out what kind - there's diff kinds that share placenta or have one each... you kight have identicals! or a boy and a girl. so cute!

cookielove · 05/09/2013 21:34

cat you shared the crisps, with the baby Wink

DiscoBiscuits · 05/09/2013 22:20

My nausea has been going for a gold medal the past week. Trying to keep it quiet from work until I am at least 12 weeks but not easy when I gip at the slightest thing.
Had bloods and booking in today and feel positive for the first time since finding out I'm pregnant. The first time around was a bit fraught for various reasons and I have been very....ostrich like about this one - pretend it's not really happening and maybe the crap stuff won't occur again etc. But my MW today was awesome. Completely on my wavelength and I felt like I could talk to her about anything. She's made me feel so much more positive about this pregnancy and a little bit excited too! I wish I'd had her the first time round.

Cannotbelieveit · 05/09/2013 22:59

Great news about your midwife disco xxx

Nessalina · 06/09/2013 01:44

Hi all Smile
Lots to catch up on! I keep getting in from work and then crashing out so not much MNing! God knows what I'd do if I already had a child!! I am such a lazy bones, I'm sort of expecting that having a baby will suddenly present me with new powers of 'getting up early', 'caring about cleaning' and 'suddenly being a brilliant cook'. That happens right?! Hmm
I'm going away for a spa weekend tomorrow with BF who is also preggers, sooo excited!! Smile

Nessalina · 06/09/2013 01:45

Twins!!! Amazing Bodeccia! Glad they're nothing looking good, great news! Smile

Nessalina · 06/09/2013 01:47

CazinLondon - you've given me hope, but can't I just start the feeling amazing now?!
Still mainly nausea, but had my first genuine morning vom yesterday, bleurgh.
7+2

prettyinpink90 · 06/09/2013 09:53

Morning ladies!
The past few days the nausea has started to kick in, mainly throughout the morning and it eases off for a while if I eat something. It's not unmanageable at the moment but certainly not pleasant. No sickness though so still feeling lucky. Really feel for you ladies who've got it bad!

Goldenhandshake · 06/09/2013 12:07

Hi everyone,

I am at work and suffering from horrendous heartburn, wish it woud piss off, need to go and get some gaviscon, I have held off taking anything for it so far but it's been keepng me awake at night, I can't handle it anymore, I'm out of the house 11 hours a day and have an almost five year old, lack of sleep is not doing me any favours.

catameringue · 06/09/2013 12:16

If you're at that point then take anything that you can take. All of it is harder to deal with without sleep. And heartburn is so unpleasant to boot.

mamapants · 06/09/2013 12:31

Uuuggh I really feel for you golden I really suffered with heartburn with my pregnancy with DS. It was horrendous, I had to sleep propped up.
And like the old wives tale DS did have a beautiful head of hair when he was born.
