Hi girls thought as that thread it quite full we could start a new one here.
Hope you don't mind pink.
How you girls all feeling today? I swear I keep forgetting I'm pregnant when symptoms disappear randomly. But I'm at such early stages, one of the babies of the bunch at just 5+2

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Fairypants · 02/09/2013 15:15

Struggling is perhaps a bit over dramaticGrin
I'm annoyed by it though.

patsy375 · 02/09/2013 15:25

Actually fairy thats a good point!
My bad skin is more likely down to the huge amounts of junk food I've been consuming than anything else.
Im sure I will end up having ds number 4 and be completely and utterly outnumbered in my house.

nevergoogle · 02/09/2013 16:32

8 weeks today.
Having a hell of a time with pregnancy hormones making me feel low and irritable, plus have come off anti-depressants with a thump, and some shady behaviour from SIL resulted in me screaming at her. Now I'm in the bad books with in-laws.
Feeling like crap. IBS playing up with all the stress.

Sigh.

Hi all, I have been lingering more on the FB page than here but thought I'd pop in and say hello! Welcome to any newbies!

I had my booking in appointment today, much quicker than I expected, was in and out in 20 minutes! Took my blood pressure, weighed me and ran through the maternity form then packed me off witht he emmas diary book and some other bits of crap and that was that!

They did move my due date though, so a now due 2nd April rather than 1st as I had calculated.

catameringue · 02/09/2013 17:10

I have spots when af comes due to pcos but several more have appeared too.

I need your collective wisdom again - suddenly got a headache earlier and not stopped vomiting since. Feel hot and cold so think it's a stomach bug? I can't keep water down though it's only been a few hours but this isn't helping my banging head. Boobs suddenly stopped being sore - have light cramps in lower belly. What can I do? Is it a bug or something worse? This can't be good at any rate. I've sent oh off to buy a thermometer.

Definitelysometime · 02/09/2013 18:51

Hi all,

I'm 9+6 today but honestly look about 20 weeks. And it's my first, s no excuses! Someone tell me this is bloating and will soon calm down?

Has anyone had (and managed) to reschedule a scan? Turns out we have a major event at work on the day of my 12 week scan. My boss is away so there's just no way I can get out of it. Argh! Will have to call the hospital tomorrow morning.

Cat poor you, sounds awful. Could it just be horrible horrible pg symptoms? No helpful advice from me I'm afraid just Flowers - hope you're feeling much better soon.

nevergoogle · 02/09/2013 18:54

im 8+0 and bloated hugely. IBS flareup and general pregnancy bloating not helping. surely will settle down at some point.

catameringue · 02/09/2013 19:17

Dh says I have no temperature. But been sick again. Ice cubes aren't even staying down.

I haven't kept any water down since last night. If this continues, at what point should I get help?

nevergoogle · 02/09/2013 19:28

can you call the out of hours GP? nhs direct?

LeeHandy · 02/09/2013 19:32

cata I am no expert but I would say it doesnt hurt to call your go or go into epu and have them check you out. if you haven't kept anything down all day then you may get dehydrated so it's worth telling someone at least, in case they can help.

catameringue · 02/09/2013 19:42

Google says epu and other units are now shut. That leaves 111. Is it pointless?

Gagging but nothing there.

prettyinpink90 · 02/09/2013 19:54

cat I would definitley try and get yourself checked out, it could be some nasty pregnancy sickness but its better to be on the safe side. Like LeeHandy said you may be getting dehydrated. Try 111 or primary care. If it gets worse durinv the night can you try ringing A&E and see what they suggest? Hoping you feel better soon Thanks

catameringue · 02/09/2013 20:09

I phoned 111. Getting a call back at some point from a doctor.
Sorry for hijacking the thread.

cookielove · 02/09/2013 20:24

Oh no cat sending you stay hydrated vibes!

Had booking in today. Went well in and out in 1hr 15 mins. Scan booked for the 24th! Sob - I am obese. But only just. But it shouldn't affect the water birth I want.

ChocChaffinch · 02/09/2013 20:32

I dialled 111 on sat night, got admitted only just out now, had to have 5 bags fluids was ++++. feel better now but knackered. got ondansetron to take which had to fight for. fingers x'd it means I don't throw up so much don't want to go back into hosp. :-( had to have 2 shots in the leg and even a stomach injection ouch.

ChocChaffinch · 02/09/2013 20:34

if you find you're throwing up water get some ketostix from chemist and test your own wee 2+ or higher ketones you need medical help

Nessalina · 02/09/2013 20:42

Hi all Smile
Sorry to hear you're feeling rough cata, 111 should know what's best, hope it improves!
So I panicked this morning as bleeding was worse, decided to call in sick instead of going in before scan this morning. Had to ring my boss and 'fess up to being pregnant!! Was really nervous, but she was actually really lovely, she even offered to come with me to the scan if my DH couldn't get off work!!
Anyway, we went, and they did a normal tummy ultrasound (wasn't sure if they'd do internal), and there it was, a teeny tiny blob with a teeny tiny heartbeat! Amazing. The tech measured and put it at 6 weeks 5 days which was just what I'd thought, and she said all looked fine! She could see a small area of haemorrage on the edge of the yolk sac which she said is pretty normal and didn't look like it would cause a problem.
So relieved!!

Nessalina · 02/09/2013 20:44

Oh gosh Choc poor you!! Glad you got sorted out though, sounds rotten!! Flowers

ChocChaffinch · 02/09/2013 20:45

aahhh Ness that's so cute

learnasyougo · 02/09/2013 20:47

I hear ondansetron works wonders for some, so fx it works for you.
My nausea is much less debilitating this time around than with . The fatigue has been unbelievable, though. By 4pm I start aching to get into bed, though I'm at work, have a bike ride home, dinner, bath DS, nurse him, sit with him until he sleeps and THEN I can fall into bed. Luckily I have a brilliant, understanding DH who looks after me. He cooks almost every night and baths DS.

Vikkijayne2507 · 02/09/2013 20:55

Hope you get a decent response cat.

I told my parents via skype about an hour ago, my mum said she thought something was us, dad was shocked but both were happy if a little stunned. All going well my mum will be a nanny before she's 50 and my dad would have only just turned 50. It felt really weird telling them but after a few minutes we were joking about names and seeing what mum craved and how its similar to what i fancy oranges and milkbars randomly. Im glad i told them I was struggling to keep it in when I spoke to them.

9 weeks today

catameringue · 02/09/2013 20:57

Choc that sounds awful.

Ness - glad your scan was fine.

So a gp spoke to me and has said I have to try tablet forms of anti emetics first and he's faxed a prescription to a late night pharmacy. Luckily dh is prepared to drive around for me. The gp then said I could take bucchastem which I have for migraine so ive popped them in.

Thanks for advice. The 111 service was fine - spoke to a gp within an hour.

Trinpy · 02/09/2013 21:03

Oh choc, poor you having to go through all of that. Hope you feel better now.
