Hi girls thought as that thread it quite full we could start a new one here.
Hope you don't mind pink.
How you girls all feeling today? I swear I keep forgetting I'm pregnant when symptoms disappear randomly. But I'm at such early stages, one of the babies of the bunch at just 5+2

OP posts:

I have my booking in appointment tomorrow yay. Hope I get the scan date then :)

So jealous of you lot getting scans. Tbf I we had the money and I could muster up the braveness for the chance of an internal scan we may well have gone for one.

I told all my work colleagues in my room as I am struggling with certain smells (nursery) and one of them announced it to another work colleague that was in the room by saying 'how's the mother to be feeling? ' grrrrrrr

Morning everyone!

It's my 2nd wedding anniversary today Smile . Unfortunately, don't think I'm even going to see dh as he's still fast asleep now and won't be home from work tonight until long after I've gone to bed. We went out for dinner last night, which was lovely, but by the time we got home it was getting late and I had to be up early for a 12hr shift, so no dtd Sad . Can't wait until my maternity leave so I can be at home!

cookielove · 02/09/2013 07:17

Hey Trimpy. It was our 1 year anniversary yesterday :)
Sept is such a popular month to get married.

Woken up with sharp pain in boob. Think it may be how I slept and a mini nose bleed Hmm

Fairypants · 02/09/2013 07:37

Morning!
Happy anniversary trinpy and cookieThanks sorry you celebration is a little muted trinpy but it good you marked it yesterday, even if you were too knackered to dtd.
Sorry you're not having a good start to the day cookie, I hope it gets better for you booking appt.
My DH has stumbled on a fab morning sickness cure. I told him I'd have to have b'fast earlier as I think the sickness is related to low sugar. He mulled this over and brought me chocolate with my morning tea. It green and blacks dark choc with cherries so quite bitter and sour rather than sweet. Just one or two squared is getting me through shower and dressing feeling quite normal.
How's everyone doing with clothes atm? I know it's bloating rather than bump but I'm struggling to fit into my normal clothes.
8 weeks todayGrin

prettyinpink90 · 02/09/2013 07:58

Morning ladies!

Good luck ness and tea at your scans today! Good luck cookie at your booking in appointment too!

xavielli what a huge shock for you! give yourself time to make the right decision for you and your family.

Happy anniversary trinpy and cookie hope you have a lovely day [flower]

Absolutely shattered at the moment, feel like I've been in zombie mode for the last 4 weeks!

BartBaby · 02/09/2013 08:06

Yes happy anniversary cookie and trinpy baby is due 3 days after our first anniversary next month so I think we are going to have to have the celebrations a little bit early just in case.

fairy I'm also struggling with clothes. My jeans will fasten just about, but they are extremely uncomfortable. And I had to get some legging in the next size up as they were too tight round the tummy, but the bigger ones are a bit too big on the leg. I just can't win! Luckily it's been warm enough to wear dresses Grin

Good luck for those having scans today. I had a dream the other night I was having a scan to see how many there was in there. But I woke up before I found out!

This week ive had some not nice days, and some slightly better days. had a good day Saturday and barely felt sick. Even managed a nice meal out with dh followed by seeing his friend do a gig (on the orange juice and driving duties of course!) but back to sicky this morning. I've got my booking in appt this week on Thursday morning. I'm hoping mine is one of the ones that doesn't take as long as I'm going to have to take ds with me.

Happy anniversary to trinpy and cookie! Good luck to those with scans today!

Not feeling sick at the mo so will continue to enjoy it, very tired tho!

crazycranberry · 02/09/2013 08:09

Morning! Hope you are all feeling ok and that any nausea/sickness is manageable today!
Went out for a meal with a friend yesterday to have a natter & catch up etc. I really wanted to tell her about my pregnancy but my partner & I have. agreed not to tell people until I have had a scan! Seems like that is sooooo far away. I told my mum and my BFF, but no one else yet.
Anyone else finding it hard to keep their fabulous news a secret?

LeeHandy · 02/09/2013 08:15

happy anniversary cookie and trinpy!
I only have my first appointment with my GP on Sunday, then I will be referred to the mid wife for a booking appointment and a scan. I hope they are quick about it because I will be 11 weeks when I see the GP.
fairy I have switched bras which is good because I was falling out my regular ones Blush but I hate non-wired bras so am a bit uncomfortable in them. Hmm I have been window shopping but I will need to buy next week as I have put on a lot of weight a lot of bloating already.
we're on holiday in Scotland and it's way colder than London. Which made me think of maternity winter jackets! So much shopping, so little time.. Wink

LeeHandy · 02/09/2013 08:33

I keep forgetting. I am 10+3

Xavielli · 02/09/2013 08:56

Thank you for your kind words. I'm feeling much more positive this morning, me and DP even had a joke about names.

Going on LMP my dd would be 5/4/14 so I think I would be getting on for 10 weeks now. I'm so surprised at the lack of symptoms as I was quite sick with DD2 (which might have been more due to being exhausted from DS2 who was only 6 months) I did have to wee twice in the night and my joints feel a bit more 'clicky'.

Are most of you first timers? Is there a stats thread?

Cannotbelieveit · 02/09/2013 09:36

Xavielli I think there a mixture of first timer and not! Don't think there's a stats page yet. Once I get my laptop sorted I'm happy to so it if no one else has. Just using iPad/iPhone at the mo.

I have created a Facebook page so if you'd like to join it at any time then just message me on here.

I have a 5month old DS and I think I'm managing ok so far! But we shall see as I get further on!

6+2

mamapants · 02/09/2013 09:44

Happy Anniversary trinpy and cookie
cookie I had nosebleeds through my last pregnancy, had one so far this time. Really horrible. Used to wake up with them. Found I got really clogged up and that using steam seemed to clear it out a bit.
I'm still fitting in all my clothes this time round. Could really do with some new clothes but really no point as pretty soon they won't fit me. Got boxes of maternity clothes out the other day and seem to have lots of summer clothes which
I won't actually need this time.
cranberry I am finding it hard not saying anything, especially when one of my friends keeps talking about her plans for dc2. Feel almost like I'm lying. But until the scan it doesn't feel right telling people. Although with ds my family had guessed by this point and dp had got over excited and told lots of his friends.
Maybe will tell after booking in appt, still waiting for midwife to phone, feels like ages!

patsy375 · 02/09/2013 10:12

Xavielli hello and welcome!
Leehandy started an April 14 stats thread which shows the number of dcs most of us have.

Im off to doctors for antibiotics, feels like I have yet another UTI Sad
But on a happier note I've got my first scan tomorrow Smile

BartBaby · 02/09/2013 10:15

Here is the link for the stats. I hope it works

Xavielli · 02/09/2013 10:29

Thankyou Smile

catameringue · 02/09/2013 10:30

Hey everyone!

Re: the bras - I much prefer underwired though a cheap non-wired bra from primark is serving me well at night. keeps the boys in place!

My scan is weds. I got very panicky on Saturday but feel better now. I'm a total first timer!

prettyinpink90 · 02/09/2013 11:12

Has anyone else's face erupted in spots? I feel like a teenage again!

patsy375 · 02/09/2013 11:43

pretty I have spots too, and the greasy hair to match!
So attractive Grin

Cannotbelieveit · 02/09/2013 11:59

Yes I'm a pizza face pretty but I didn't get any during and after my pregnancy with DS x

patsy375 · 02/09/2013 12:08

cannot I have 3 ds and didn't get spotty during any of their pregnancies.
Have also read an article on old wives tales, and apparently bad skin means you're expecting a daughter!
Maybe there is some pink heading our way?

Cannotbelieveit · 02/09/2013 12:32

Mmmm patsy I thought that! Apparently girls take away your looks!! I'm not fussed if boy or girl but it would be nice! ESP since it would put one of my SiL's nose out of joint as she has the only girl so far!

pinkpeoniesplease · 02/09/2013 12:51

Hi all, I hope those with scans/appointments today are going well!

I now have my scan on the 19th, can't wait to hear how yours go over the next few days/weeks. So exciting! Grin

prettyinpink90 · 02/09/2013 12:54

Glad it's not just me then! patsy, cannot that's an interesting one, I'd love a girl! Although as long as he/she is healthy I'm not fussy. I'm convinced it'll be a boy though, not sure why... I seem to be drawn to looking at boys things when I'm shopping.

Fairypants · 02/09/2013 14:39

I'm really struggling with spots too which I don't remember from previous pg but then I was quite sick with those so wasn't eating all the rubbish I'm craving this time. Confused
