Hot Just laughed out loud at Arabella Mozerella! I love that name. I vetoed it when DP informed me he'd call her 'Arry, like Arry Potter...' Sigh.

Arabella mozzerella!!! I have learnt my lesson about tellin ppl names I like! I really wanted my daughter to be called summer, but her surname is brown and mil said you can't call her that as it sounds like a fake tan! But I really liked it! Then I was gonna call her Lucy to the point where she had actually been born and I told everyone she was called Lucy until mil said u can't call her that as she will be called Lucy Lou because she could of been born in the Loo! So I keep my mouth shut until all done and dusted!!

Thanks about the homebirth! I'm hoping it will all happen when the kids are asleep in bed and will come down for breakie to see a new member to the family!!! Otherwise a Disney film on repeat in my bedroom whilst I'm downstairs having bubba!!

Pram just take the fuse out the plug the nite before and tell him tv broke so he may as well leave it behind!!

Pleased u got scan date sorted at long last frank! Has anyones MW listened to hb of bubba yet? I was told they can't till 16 weeks. But don't remember it being so long!

hotcross yeah its a pain, mari i could forgive but things like macle-hairy, ma-hairy etc WFT?????????!!!! Someone once actually started calling me Vera....People are generally OK with hoe to pronounce it, then they see the spelling and completely change what they have been calling me for hours, days, weeks, months.....arghh!! One time Tesco Insurance refused to discuss my account with me because they said i had not given them the name on the account! Sorry...impromptu rant over....

pram i like Hamish, but I had a cat called Hamish when I was wee. For boys I like Kerr, Ross and Innes, although I think its destined to be Chris :( For girls I like Eilidh, Roisin and Murron.....

magpie, I've just deleted all my friends on mine, and then changed my name! Hope no one notices and gets offended... I actually reactivated the wrong account; I meant to use an account I set up to use for open university after I deactivated my main one, but never used. Whoops. No one really noticed when I left Facebook anyway; some people I know have over 1000 friends, and I cannot fathom how you can even know that many people, let alone keep up with their doings!

MTB, social services are on the way..I rang them. I'll be honest; I'm fecking bamboozled by that name. I can't get my head around it at all! How about just Ethel? I like Flea but that's supposed to be short for Felicity, which is just vile.

I have just rung my lovely EPU (who have already scanned me four times) and I ended up in tears telling her about my domestic woes and how scared I am that my hysterics and anguish have damaged the baby. They're scanning me at 9.30 in the morning Smile

mtb, I can't say it's a name I'd choose, although it sounds quite nice out loud. I think your dd may forever be saying to people '...no, Ethel-fleed....it's A E...T H...' However, my opinion does not, and should not, count. If you and dp are in love with the name, then go for it.

Pram - this is where it gets weird, I couldn't name her Ethel, and I agree with JustMuddling that she'll have to probably spell it count constantly. (although this is something both DP and I have been cursed with our entire lives due to our surnames - you'd think we'd be sympathetic and not make it worse)

But the more I think about it, the more it grows on me...

Just a quickie to respond to JK10 as I've only skimmed thread.
My MW listened to baby's hb at my booking in when I was 11+5. Heard it loud and clear. Also heard and felt kicks simultaneously Smile
Will read thread later when I'm home. Just been to Family Court to battle with ex over custody of children. Most unpleasant. I could really do without this.
