Ok, now I like hot weather but for crying out loud I am HOT HOT HOT!!!!!!

Poor dh is getting the end of my too hot toungue and the kids are staying out of my way lol

Huge tummy now and everyone keeps commenting how big I am.

Haven't bought anything yet. I tend to wait till the end!

LadyTophamHatt · 18/07/2006 19:11

Too hot..too hot...too hot...

curtaintwitcher · 19/07/2006 11:52

lol ELM

It is soooooooooooooooo hot...lol It has been too hot to let Adam play in the garden which surprisingly he hasnt argued against. WE are currently in the living room with front blinds shut..all windows open and 2 fans on. Both adam and hannah are stripped down and even the paddling pool is to hot to play in.....none of us slept last night due to the heat and was not impressed when DH phoned to tell me about his airconditioned hotel room......grrrr....luckily he is back home tonight so shall suffer with us!!!

so how are you all doing????

LadyTophamHatt · 19/07/2006 12:07

Christ almighty.....it's hot!!!

Why on the hottest day of the year did I decide to walk to town???

Durrrr!

My feet now feel like lead and will nodoubt swell up later.

God...I hate this weather!

But on a less moany note, I walked to town as I had an ante-natal appt. All fine, heard the heart beat literally as soon as she put the thingymibob on my belly which was FAB
my blood pressure was almost a low as it's ever been which in this weather I'm surprised at. She had to take it twice because she said it was almost unreadable!!
I don't see them again now until I'm 28 weeks!!!
So all if fine and dandy with teh LTH bump.

We're on holiday from saturday so you probably won't see me for a few weeks as I'm going to start the packing and organising today.
Hope you all have a good few weeks, I pop in before we go.

Byeeeee....xxxxx

LTH!!! Ha bloody ha!!

To be honest the worst thing is the kids not being able to go out and play! Its too hot to entertain them and to hot to chuck them out lol

Thunderstorms tomorrow or so they say. If we get them I am taking the kids into the garden to get soaked

LadyTophamHatt · 19/07/2006 12:29

I know magnolia, the boys get home from school and want tp lay in the agrden but it's just too hot out there....

On the way to school today I was telling the phrase "mad dogs and englishmen go out in the mid day sun" and how european contries have siestas so that hopefull they will choose to stay in at lunchtime rather than spend a hour running around outside.

Roll on Friday.....

laughalot · 19/07/2006 13:10

All I can say is jess you are mad good luck take it easy, thank god im at work today with air con

curtaintwitcher · 19/07/2006 13:42

good luck jess...hopw it isnt too bad

just been and sat with feet in paddling pool under the umbrella shade which was nice but have now brought kids in. DS is moaning the fan blowing on him is cold...arghhhh

ELM · 19/07/2006 14:58

aah that's better. A portable air conditioner has appeared by my desk. There are some benefits to being pregnant.
(personally I think they found the sight of my ankles swelling up like balloons a little off putting)

ELM · 19/07/2006 14:58

Oh and good luck Jess.

Dragonhart · 19/07/2006 15:14

Good Luck Jess, sorry but dont envy you one bit.

I am doing as little as posible but still sweating like mad! Our garden is too hot to go out in til about 4 so we have been having a dip in the paddling pool then to try and cool down. DS's hair is curly and goes like an afro when he starts to sweat (which is all the time at the mo!)

Roll on autumn. I can promise I will NOT be complaining about the cold weather. After all you can stick a jumper on if you are cold but there are only so many clothes you can take off esp when you are swollen and preg!!!

Hope everyone is ok and not suffering too much in the hot weather. Have a good holidsay LTH.

magnolia1 · 19/07/2006 16:26

Dh just bought a 6' pool and is filling it up now!! Going to get the shampoo and bubbles out later and bath the kids in it

Good Luck Jess xxxxxx

Anyone moved into maternity bras yet? My normal bras are getting too tight (getting that double boob look as they spill over the top!) but just cant face moving in to the saggy non-underwired ones quite yet. Anyone know any good ones. Got mine from mothercare last time but they were rubish. My boobs ended up under my armpits despite being measured numerous times!

LadyTophamHatt · 19/07/2006 21:14

I bought maternity bras last weekend Dhart (very pleased with my 34DD's as I'm usually 34a!!). From mothercare, exactly the same ones I had when PG with Ds3. They're ok for me(alllow there not the prettiest bras), hold it all where it's meant to be and as my un-pg boobs are so mircoscopic the boobs under the armpits thing doesn't bother me

I deserve a medal.....I have packed our suitcase ready for holiday!
just need to do all the odds and sods that take up 90% of the boot space now....

jessddibs · 19/07/2006 21:39

I did it!!!!!!!!!! I completed the 5km race for life in just under an hour. I feel so proud of myself and I have just eaten steamed salmon and veg!! I may treat myself to a burgerking tommorow to celebrate! lol!

And I really do need to get some maternity bras, I am busting out of my normal ones! it's more money though...but an essential

p.s you can still sponsor me...

Dragonhart · 19/07/2006 21:49

Well done Jess! Impressed. Think I would have collapsed in the heat! Hope you are not too sore tom.xxxx

trinityrhino · 20/07/2006 08:40

trinityrhino · 20/07/2006 09:46

I askedfor help from SS on march the 16th and I still haven't got the family worker thay promised

I just want some help to change things and try and get back on track

trinityrhino · 20/07/2006 09:47

sorry just wanted to write it somewhere

magnolia1 · 20/07/2006 09:48

Oh hun Can you speak to H.V? If not go to your G.P and insist you get some help. It is extremly unfair if you have asked for help and 4 months later still not had any xxxx

curtaintwitcher · 20/07/2006 10:23

trinity...as someone who suffers from extreme depression and anxiety you have my sympathies. Have you contacted your gp about a refferal for counselling and maybe taking something to help with the anxiety? Another thing to consider could be a self refferal to your local mental health team[sounds scarey I know] but they will help you access services to help with the anxiety. I am currently seeing a cpn once a week and also have psychology once a week. IT really does help believe me and am about to start on some ads safe in pregnancy...have pretty much been on ads for the past 3yrs due to number of problems and they do help with the anxiety etc. Also do you have homestart in your area as that may be of help to you. Hope something is sorted for you soon hun hugs[[[[[[[]]]]]]]]]]

am off for first mw appointment soon and am really nervous. Also got hv coming out this afternoon re ds being reffered to SALT as his speech is quite confuddled for a 2.9yr old. Hope everyone is ok

trinityrhino · 20/07/2006 12:22

thanks magnolia and curtain for your kind replies
