Just Shagging Grads, here is your shiny new Fred!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw plenty of births and we've got loads of new Grads to add to the mix. Bring on the TMI posts, the midnight moans, the birthwatches and the pom poms!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 17th thread.

OP posts:

Great news, Dulcet. Are you braving Facebook now?! :-)

Wil, my boobs haven't hurt at all this pregnancy. I found it odd.

They're ginormous though!! :-)

Minion · 29/05/2014 16:58

Hi hi, I'm here!
Don't have a good 4g reception at work so can't skive there. But I've done my work for the week so am back in the fold.
Yep scan is a week today, bit nervous about it all. What if it's not in there and I'm really suffering from a rare disorder where my pee turns yellow and preg tests go positive?
Does it exist? Cue le panic!
Nausea is back (deep joy) but no vomming at least, just those awful borking episodes. And I've finally got my super sense of smell.
Great!

Other than, I'm just patiently whiling away the hours till the sonographer points out I'm just a hypochondriac who didn't fancy flying for 18 months.
Ha!

dulcet did you sob when you saw the bean? I think I might (again, if it really exists)!
I bet it was an amazing experience x

RPopz · 29/05/2014 17:11

That is an excellent statistic Dulce! Congratulations Grin

The bloody app is fixed HOORAY!!!!

Nessalina · 29/05/2014 19:24

Whoop! Great news Dulcet! That is a satisfyingly reassuring statistic!
I have to say that yesterday I had a bit of a moment where I thought "Woah. This may actually be going to happen! I'm going to get GINORMOUS" Shock
Only one week to go for you too Min, fab fab! The 12 week scan is totally the scariest IMHO, just try to stay sane til then!!
Treated myself to a low alcohol beer tonight Blush I started to feel a bit guilty, then DH was like "sweetie, I promise you, you can't give our son fetal alcohol syndrome by drinking one Carling Zest!" Grin

wilhelminand · 29/05/2014 19:30

Min with the amount you've been puking it'd have to be some really crazy disorder! I think we can safely say you're upduffed!

All these scans, how exciting. I'm very jealous. Trying to figure out if it's a really bad idea to take my toddler to my booking appointment? Don't really have any childcare options without admitting to being pg.

DulcetMoans · 29/05/2014 19:36

Thanks viroids! I am reassured but doesn't look like much at the moment but looking at a little heartbeat is great. No tears though min, I'm made of stone! Wink I think the 12 week could break me though, like nessa said!

So now we are telling the parents on Saturday. See what reactions we get...

I'm away for the weekend now horace but when I'm back I will get on Facebook!

RPopz · 29/05/2014 20:05

A heartbeat is a heartbeat Dulce! Kinda wishing I'd caved on the early scan now... I want 96%!! Lol. Hope you have a great weekend - going anywhere nice?

Min I'm kinda worried I have that crazy condition too Smile

RPopz · 29/05/2014 20:08

Lol at your DH Ness! Grin

Wil Its quite a long appointment isn't it. Would she behave, perhaps with sweetie bribery?? Smile

Ginger nut woman out and out accused me of being preg this morning Shock I didn't say anything either way but jeeeeez! Pregnant for 5 minutes and the world turns in Miss bloody Marple!

Nessalina · 29/05/2014 20:15

How rude! I hate it when people ask, because I don't like to deny it (it's bloody obvious now mind you!). If you don't tell them yourself then they should mind their own beeswax!!

RPopz · 29/05/2014 20:40

Yerr that's kinda what I thought. I could have told her since all important people already know now. But that's not the bloody plan so stuff her! I should've accused her for being up the duff with all her superior ginger biscuit knowledge (which I played dumb about Grin )

wilhelminand · 29/05/2014 21:02

That's bloody rude if she really thinks you are RPopz. Fair enough if she was joking.

I'm not sure how much sweetie bribery you can do in front of a healthcare professional? Um, no, she really isn't the kind of toddler who sits nicely and plays with toys. She's more the kind who runs around the room opening cupboards and pulling emergency cords... so, yeah. She's cute though Grin.

RPopz · 30/05/2014 08:00

She is quite rude in general tbh!

They'll understand if you've got to take her wil. I'm sure you won't be the first person ever to do it! Grin

Thought I didn't feel sick this morning! And then had weetabix for breakfast... to disastrous consequence.... Hmm I know its heinous to even think it after all the fuss I made about getting up the duff in the first place but I really am tired of feeling this crappy!

DH thought all his christmases had come at once last night in Tesco with me merrily filling the trolley with crisps and biscuits and white bread Shock I've gone off fruit and salad in a BIG way. Told him he better not get used to it haha.

Hope everyone's well this merry Friday! Grin

wilhelminand · 30/05/2014 08:19

Are you vomming then? I don't really feel sick, just have sore boobs and can't sleep. I think I might have thrush though Sad.

zenry · 30/05/2014 08:34

Wow you ladies can talk! I will be getting tiny baby newborn and up to one month. Ive had a 7lber and then a 5lber.

Busy playing nurse here DP is signed off with a bad lung infection DS1 has a temp from 37.7-39+ but no obvious reason for the temp and DS2 is cutting a gazillion teeth at once. 14 weeks in sunday. Woooo

RPopz · 30/05/2014 18:21

Bloody hell where did that time go Zenry!? Hope everyone's feeling better soon.

No actual vomming Wil but constant nausea and horrendous retching on a morning. This morning a smell in the fridge set me off! I didn't feel particularly sick til about 6-7 weeks though.

Hope everyone's had a good day. Had a massive jacket potato with beans and cheese from deli for lunch at work... It was epic but my trousers stopped fitting me shortly after!! Grin Hope my gut hasn't given me away Shock Lol.

RPopz · 30/05/2014 18:23

Oooh there's nothing worse than thrush Wil Sad Are you allowed to use all the creams and pessaries when you're up the duff? Not actually had it for a while but used to swear by the Canesten pessary-cream combo. Hugs Thanks Brew

wilhelminand · 30/05/2014 18:29

Well you are as long as you don't admit to the chemist you're pg because then they refuse to sell you them without a prescription. I found this out when heavily pg last time. I'm not actually sure it is though, it's just a bit sore, not really itchy or normal thrush horrificness. I'll leave it a while and see if it develops (bleurgh).

Haha Rpopz there soon will be noone left at work who hasn't figured you out!

Hope everyone gets better Zenry.

RPopz · 30/05/2014 18:32

Haha no I'm doing some good bluffing especially when everyone's talking to/ about the other preggers girl at work Wink (Who told me today she hasn't had any ms! Envy ) Plus ginger nut girl was off today Grin

Saw a new baby on the way home from work. He was in his pram doing that sucky dummy face.... made me go squeeeeeee Grin

zenry · 30/05/2014 19:13

I was pescribed pessaries for thrush before I got induced so I would say they are ok! This pregnancy is really flying! 3 weeks 1 day until I know the flavour

Nessalina · 30/05/2014 19:39

Hello all Smile
Ugh, sounds awful zenry! Hope everyone perks up soon!!Thanks
I'm in bed already - sooo sleepy.
Good news though, managed to shift a weeks holiday at work to early July, so now we can go abroad!! Going to hotfoot it to the travel agent tomorrow after work - sun here I come!
Also got our date through for 20 week scan - it's only bloody Friday 13th Blush

RPopz · 30/05/2014 21:16

Eurgh I don't know if I'm probably definitely overreacting but the MIL just phoned... chatting away to DH about his birthday present, how hectic her week's been yada yada yada etc... NOT once did she ask about me: his pregnant wife! Or even acknowledge my existence in fact! WTF is her problem?? Angry

HungryHorace · 31/05/2014 06:14

Ooh...I'd see red in that situation, RPopz. What the hell is wrong with her? Did you speak with DH about it afterwards?

Did you previously get on OK?

I'm pissed off on your behalf.

Minion · 31/05/2014 06:24

Oh popz she really knows how to piss on your chips doesn't she? Don't worry though, cause in 7 months or so she's going tobe all over you to get to the baby. Then you hold all the cards!
Remember revenge is a long term game.
Ah.
I'm evil!

My mil on the other hand, whom I adore and is much more mom like than my own mom really wants to know the time of the scan next week. I've told the husband not to say what time at all as I just want a little uninterrupted bubble of joy (hopefully) without fuss,

Is that awful of me? I can't work out if I'm being a bit of a diva.

Options please. I can't go into AIBU, it's savage in there.

Nessalina · 31/05/2014 07:36

That is very weird Rpopz! What's she playing at?! You're either going to have to confront her, or go like Min says and play the long game - don't let her phase you, then when baby arrives and she wants to visit, 'oh, I'm sorry, we're very busy from now until forever...'
Your problem is at least a nice one to have Min! No, you're not being a diva at all, if it makes you feel uneasy telling her the time then don't. Just say it's best not to say because there's sometimes long delays and you don't want her to worry and think the worst if you don't get in touch straight away - tell her when you will ring her, say after tea or something Smile Then if you want to spread good news early you can call her before, and if you don't she won't be offended!

wilhelminand · 31/05/2014 08:16

Yeah I agree Min, it's not diva-like. If you'd rather not tell her then just be vague and say 'morning' or 'afternoon' whenever it is. Or tell her a later time than the real time so she's not waiting for a phone call. Lovely that she's so interested though.

Rpopz this is so strange considering you haven't had any issues with her at all. I would get Mr Popz to point blank come out and ask her why she doesn't seem excited.

Hope you find a good holiday Nessa. Don't worry about the scan date, superstitions are just things made up by people, not actually true. Come to think of it, that's when my booking appointment is.

Glad time is flying for you Zenry. It's doing the opposite for me. 7 weeks today. How is it possible that's all I am?!

I'm so broody too RPopz. Saw a photo yesterday of the cutest little baby and just wanted to squidge all his wee squidgy bits. I feel like I might be having a boy this time.

I am lying in bed ravenously hungry but can't be arsed to move. Shall have to start bringing snacks to bed.
