Just Shagging Grads, here is your shiny new Fred!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw plenty of births and we've got loads of new Grads to add to the mix. Bring on the TMI posts, the midnight moans, the birthwatches and the pom poms!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 17th thread.

Hello all. I've been away so kinda lost this thread Blush

I'll be home later on today so I can have a good read and catch up, but for the update I am due 4th April 2014

MrsAVB · 06/08/2013 14:09

Afternoon viroids!
humpty I don't have a proper bump either, just look like I've eaten too many pies.
waves wowzers on the baking, I love coffee cake. It's reassuring that you're baking already so soon after birth too as I'm scared of all normal activities ceasing once baby is born!
stroke how are you doing today? Hope the resting up is helping and you're not too stressed out. Friends is perfect tv for these kind of times; feels like an old blanket of a friend that demands nothing from you!
Have a good day all
X

Strokethefurrywall · 06/08/2013 15:44

Thanks MrsAVB - I'm doing ok today, had a good night's sleep and the bleeding is mainly brown or pink which is good.

I'm managing my stress with rescue remedy and distraction :-) I'm actually not too concerned, my OBGYN is amazing and I trust him totally. Obviously he can't guarantee that I won't lose the pregnancy but after examining me, he said that bleeding sometimes happens and to just put my feet up to allow the body a chance to reabsorb the blood and that the heartbeat was perfect.

I've got my next scan on 2 September and I'll be 10+2 then so looking forward to it already. Although not looking forward to the myriad symptoms of puking and exhaustion between now and then but it's something to concentrate on right?

Ha, I emailed my boss who is holiday at the moment and decided to tell him so he wasn't wondering why I was working from home.

He came back with "Congratulations, I've just won a bet! I bet that you were pregnant before I went on leave - make sure you take it easy!" - it's good to know I'm so useful to help win people money :-) - amazingly enough, I think he probably guessed before I did. It was probably my boobs... dead giveaway! One less person to tell though and he's a good bloke so don't have to worry too much. Unfortunately this is a small island so the news that I'm knocked up won't stay secret for long and I reckon most people will guess soon enough. Probably because I have a look of "I'm about to barf" on my face 24/7!

How's everyone else today?

coffeewineandchocolate · 06/08/2013 19:33

hi all. I'm tentatively stepping in to the thread after getting a bfp today. The calculator on MN has said my Edd is 17/04/2014 :-)

Strokethefurrywall · 06/08/2013 20:02

Ooooh, congratulations Coffee, how exciting!

How are you feeling?

coffeewineandchocolate · 06/08/2013 20:07

I'm ok thanks. Had a weird time last week tho as had palpitations, had low bp, felt unwell. Inc it was to early so all tests were bfn...

Feel much better this week although tired and feel pmt like!

Strokethefurrywall · 06/08/2013 20:43

Ah yes, tired and pmt like - and it only gets better... I forgot about this part.

I'm currently at the nausea 24/7, exhaustion, appetite loss, feeling crappy stage (6 1/2 weeks) and I know it's going to get worse before it gets better Smile

Chocolate and chocolate helps. And more chocolate. Unless you're unfortunately enough to go off chocolate. Like me.

coffeewineandchocolate · 06/08/2013 20:56

I already have a ds aged 2.6 and morning sickness was horrific for 4 weeks , manageable for a further 2 and then disappeared. Indigestion/heartburn has already started tho...

MrsAVB · 06/08/2013 21:23

Congrats coffee!
I went off chocolate when I was at my vommiest... Thankfully now I am back on the chocolate wagon!

coffee aim your cervix at 14-04-2014 Grin

Strokethefurrywall · 06/08/2013 21:40

I'm dosed up on meds and nothing is stopping this sickness. It seems to have doubled today, this morning I was ok on one pill, by this afternoon I'm on both meds and my mouth is still filling up with saliva.

I was horrendously ill with DS so I'm anticipating another rough 7 weeks. I'm also on strict paleo diet so no chocolate for me. Or crappy carbs - I'm currently living off sausages, eggs, chicken, steak, mountains of vegetables, avocados etc. In fairness, I'm off food completely so I figure if I'm going to attempt to put some food in my mouth, it should be stuff I like or will at least sustain me for a few hours.

I'm working on my hypothesis that by cutting out processed carbs and sugar I can regulate my blood sugar enough that the sickness won't be so bad, with the sugar spikes etc. I'll let you know if it works!

PrincessKitKat · 06/08/2013 21:51

Hi all
Can I cautiously join please?

Got my BFP last Wednesday, the calculator says Im due 15th April!

Feeling very wobbly and off colour but overjoyed.

Nobody told me it wasn't all swanning about gracefully with a neat bump Hmm

coffeewineandchocolate · 06/08/2013 21:53

that would be a fab date choc. I was 2 days early with my first. Will be interesting to see what date they give me at 12 weeks. Seems so far away!

cookielove · 06/08/2013 21:55

PrincessKitKat · 06/08/2013 21:58

Thanks mrs ABV!
Hello Downstairs!

Coffee, what do they do/ ask at your first appointment?
I have my MW appointment tomorrow - I'm a bit worried she's going to roll her eyes and say 'why have you come so early, go away until you're at least 8 weeks' Blush

coffeewineandchocolate · 07/08/2013 19:34

I just went to the gp and he said he would refer me to the midwife. Usually they just check bp. I had to go today as they had referred me for specialist tests due to some the symptoms and a neg pregnancy test (it was too early to test). specialist test has now been cancelled :-)

cookielove · 07/08/2013 20:00

downstairs I am finding the wait soooo long. I can't believe its just 3 weeks later. I was thinking about going private for a scan but for us the money is just not there.

So 6 weeks 1 day and counting Grin

On a more positive note I am seeing the dr tomorrow to start the ball rolling with regards to booking in. Which probably means another blood test at some point in the future. I feel sorry for the nurse already. My veins are anti needles Grin

MrsAVB · 07/08/2013 20:14

Congrats downstairs! Pregnancy is just one long waiting game... It's almost as bad as the wait to get pregnant in the first place!
It's scaring me that some of you have April due dates! I still feel like a newby!
