Just Shagging Grads, here is your shiny new Fred!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw plenty of births and we've got loads of new Grads to add to the mix. Bring on the TMI posts, the midnight moans, the birthwatches and the pom poms!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 17th thread.

Welcome to the club Dulce Wink

FurryScoob · 20/05/2014 18:23

Congratulations wil

Brilliant news ness you must be so relieved.

I want to know what a dream genii is too?

JuniDD · 20/05/2014 19:07

Congrats on the boyby, ness, excellent news, really pleased all is well for you. xxx

A dreamgenii is a pregnancy pillow. I always thought they looked v uncomfortable but saw it half price and just went for it. Have just lay on it in bed this afternoon and quite like it!

JuniDD · 20/05/2014 19:09

I should say, I've been sleeping with a thin pillow between my legs and keep waking up on my back (for the first time in my life!). So this looked good to keep me on my left side and keep my back supported - no idea why sleeping with a pillow between your legs helps your back, but it does.

wilhelminand · 20/05/2014 19:22

Helps to keep your hips and spine aligned I guess. Is it a v-shaped thing?

So pleased your bean is healthy Ness and another boy like Cookie, how lovely! I wonder who will have girls to even us up.

Yeah I think the anxiety is probably caused by the hormones, good to know the ladies on the other thread are experiencing a similar thing, thanks Rpopz.

Mr Wil announced he was going to Tesco so have sent him on a digi-hunt. He looked at me like I was crazy "but you've already done a test." Yeah like one is enough.

DulcetMoans · 21/05/2014 12:25

Was Mr Wil successful on his digi-hunt?? What did it say.

I might have, maybe, perhaps, did a digi myself this morning. 3+ weeks. Phew! Not sure what I would have done if it didn't say that but it should at least keep me calm until scan next week. Plus, no more digis in the house. Not my fault its a pack of two!!

No sure what to make of the pillow juni, have you slept with it yet??

fifi669 · 21/05/2014 13:07

This Fred is alive! Hello viroids, I'm 33 weeks tomorrow, in the home stretch..... Still feels like an age though

wilhelminand · 21/05/2014 14:15

Hi Fifi, wow 33 weeks, that sounds like an age away. How are you feeling about the birth?

Well Dulcet it said 2-3 weeks which has worried me slightly. So obviously today I'm thinking that I don't feel very pg etc. Hopefully all in the mind. Boobs are still sore at least.

Nessalina · 21/05/2014 14:27

Hey fifi! There was a flurry of JSer BFPs so enough to get a proper chat going! 33 weeks is awesomeGrin When do you go on mat leave?
I bought a massive baby names book today Blush
Today is a bit of a landmark for me - at 16+1 this is the most pregnant I have ever been Smile

Nessalina · 21/05/2014 14:29

Try not to worry about CB digi numbers Wil - they're really only meant as a guide, they're hardly the most accurate! 2-3 weeks gives a whole two week worth of margin of error!

DulcetMoans · 21/05/2014 14:47

Yeah, what ness said. Plus, they aren't as responsive as the IC and the FR. But yay, pregnant written in writing. It must be true!

Congrats on the milestone ness, doughnut to celebrate? I think I want a doughnut...

33 weeks fifi, you are well and truly pregnant!

fifi669 · 21/05/2014 16:09

I'm already off! Annual leave starts in April so I've taken it all before maternity leave and then I'm back 1st April with that years holiday intact :)

I'm being sliced and diced, no natural birth for me! Scary time with the birth of DS ending in a category 1 section (the most urgent) so I've elected this time. They ring me up a couple of days in advance anytime from 39 weeks to go in....

DS is still going to nursery leading up to the birth so I'm pottering about trying to make the house presentable. Oh and napping. Lots of napping :)

JuniDD · 21/05/2014 16:44

Whoo, great stuff fifi! I'm hoping to start my mat leave as early as possible, it doesn't seem very common though.

The pillow was lovely until I woke up at 4.30 as usual and then didn't find it comfy again so went back to my usual configuration. I'll definitely keep going with it, the bit for your back is really nice.

Hope you're not feeling too worried today wil - just gotta take it day by day.

Seen the consultant today and discharged back to the midwife so that's one less thing to worry about, 20 week scan in 2 weeks. Smile

RPopz · 21/05/2014 17:43

Those digis are a menace Wil! They're not very good at all despite all their fancy claims Wink I wouldn't worry.

Hello Fifi!

Feeling less sick today. Am counting it as sods law given that I barely took any lunch to work with me since I never usually want any anyway!

RPopz · 21/05/2014 17:47

The "secretly pregnant" (aka not secret at all given she's told EVERYONE) girl at work is really getting on my tits this week. Constantly going on and on about how ill and tired she feels for all the fuss and attention. I would sympathise with her if she'd shut her gob for 5 bloody minutes! Tempted to just tell people I'm pg to rain on her attention seeking parade... but that's not in the plan yet Grin

RPopz · 21/05/2014 19:17

Hmmm feeling a bit crampy tonight Confused

wilhelminand · 21/05/2014 19:30

Haha nah Rpopz you want to wait until you're 3 months gone and then smugly smile at her when she realises you've been pg all along but not made it into a massive drama like she has. She'll feel all ridiculous then.

Thank you for all your wise words. I have felt much more positive this time round - last time I just knew it wasn't right from the start. But I do still second guess myself due to lack of symptoms and probably because I'm getting close to same gestation I mc. When I think about my first pg though, I don't think I knew until about 7 weeks so I can't have been feeling that sick etc before then.

Great news you've been discharged Juni. Always good to start maternity early if you can afford to and don't need the time at the other end. I worked up until a week before due date last time and I did find it tough going. Think I would go off a little earlier this time.

That sounds like a great plan fifi. I'm semi-hoping they'll book me in this time after a horrific time of it before, but I doubt it.

Any names jumping out at you Ness?

I phoned the midwife today and left a message. They're supposed to call you back within 4 hours but it's now 11 hours later and still waiting Hmm.

wilhelminand · 21/05/2014 19:37

Sorry Rpopz I missed that. Are they strong? I think cramps are pretty normal unless you get them in conjunction with other things. Hope you're ok.

RPopz · 21/05/2014 19:43

Its her 3rd as well! You'd think she'd be used to it by now haha! Grin

Its not terrible no, not even like an ertd-y type cramp. Just weird. And I haven't had cramps for weeks so freaking out slightly. Plus have been feeling a bit less sick and tired today and so suddenly my mind's going into overdrive. Can I get a postgrad hooya please??

wilhelminand · 21/05/2014 19:48

Haha attention whore! Grin.

Well I'm not really in any position to hooya you but I will say that you get all kinds of weird pains when you're upduffed. I remember one night phoning my sister crying because I thought I was losing the baby after having really sharp shooting pains that actually had me doubled up. The next day - nothing at all, totally back to normal.

DulcetMoans · 21/05/2014 21:08

I've had cramps most days popz, so long as its not pain I think you should be ok.

I advocate wils suggestion of calmly waiting until 12 weeks and then 'oh, yeah, I'm pregnant too'!

Colleague took prolonged state at my tummy today. Now is she just suspicious or do I look fatter?!

wilhelminand · 21/05/2014 21:12

What were the events preceding the stare? You definitely won't be fatter but if she has reason to be suspicious maybe she was checking it out just in case?

RPopz · 21/05/2014 21:17

Have anaesthatised self with Ben and Jerry's Grin

What were the events preceding the stare Dulce?? Recently people keep saying things at work which make me think they somehow know I'm pg.... perhaps paranoia is a symptom too? Grin Hmm

RPopz · 21/05/2014 21:18

Wil I totally ripped off your question there... could have sworn I thought of those words myself! Blush

DulcetMoans · 21/05/2014 21:24

Haha. Are you the same person?!

Nothing baby related preceded it. She has been away for a few weeks, we were in the kitchen having a gossip and I needed a wee so had to leave to do that. It can't have been the conversation so maybe she was just checking I hadn't developed a child whilst she had been away! Little does she know...
