Just Shagging Grads, here is your shiny new Fred!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw plenty of births and we've got loads of new Grads to add to the mix. Bring on the TMI posts, the midnight moans, the birthwatches and the pom poms!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 17th thread.

I have felt a bit sicky but the kind you get confused with hunger!...yep, you're there, girl! Glad it went ok at the party too.

I think spinach has a lot of folic acid, good skills rpopz. In the "what to expect" app it's like - you may be feeling sick a lot BUT DON'T STOP EATING GOOD FOOD eat some spinach and go for a gentle jog. You flipping what?! I like the babycentre one, a lot more reasonable and reassuring!

RPopz · 18/05/2014 19:41

That's weird cos I have the book... and I'm sure in there it says not to worry if you can only eat total shit because the bean isn't getting much from you yet. And not to force yourself to eat stuff you don't fancy if it makes you ill, and get takeaways if you can't be arsed cooking! I've kind of been consoling myself with that during the last couple of days of my crisps and lemonade diet Wink

RPopz · 18/05/2014 19:42

Though to be fair, I always feel loads better when I'm out walking with the pup. It's just convincing myself to get off my ass in the first place that's the trouble!

DulcetMoans · 18/05/2014 20:00

That's my relationship with exercise at the best of times popz! It's getting going that's tough, once there you jut get it done.

You reckon that's the start then juni? That's exciting! I expect it will hit at its worst in the middle of a meeting or something!

Anyway, I'm becoming a over the counter drug mule it turns out, to pay for my maternity leave. Any other orders? I can also bring back Mountain Dew and peanut butter M&Ms!

Minion · 18/05/2014 20:22

I spoke too soon.
Vomfest the sequel.
I'm not impressed.

Nessalina · 18/05/2014 20:31

Alright viroids? Smile
I've found some 3G on our canal boat parked in the middle of nowhere! Grin
I'm excited by you saying you felt better at 17 weeks Juni, I've been feeling distinctly ropey over the last week or so Hmm definitely ready to start to blooming well blooming!
Your trip sound very exciting Dulcet! I love that we have our very own travel consultant in Min Wink I would like to request some decent beef jerky and Reeses smooth peanut butter!

Nessalina · 18/05/2014 20:32

XP Min - disaster!! Shock

JuniDD · 18/05/2014 20:42

Hehe, I'm loving being the "voice of experience" here, hahaah!
rpopz I may've been a bit...oversensitive last time round so was feeling got at by an app?!

Sorry about the vomfest minion Sad As my mum would say - it's good! Shows the hormones are there! (Neither my SIL or I took much comfort from that).

Yes dulcet, let's see how you're feeling in a week!

I actually wanted to cook a meal, bought the food, cooked it and ate it AND it involved vegetables tonight so I am hoping that things are going to be better from now on. 18 weeks on Tuesday! My friend said she was quite up and down throughout though so just enjoying the good feeling while it lasts and hoping it continues (and doesn't mean something is wrong!)

RPopz · 19/05/2014 08:01

Don't feel so sick today... cue le crazy... haha!

Hope you're ok Min! Sad

JuniDD · 19/05/2014 19:32

Hope you've managed to overcome the crazy rpopz or have started feeling sick again. Wink

Cooking dinner AGAIN tonight. I really hope this is the beginning of eating better - my dinner has spinach in it!

DulcetMoans · 19/05/2014 19:43

Yay for spinach!! Maybe I need to plan some in for this week.

Say no to the crazy popz! At best it is probably a symptom pause anyway. You'll feel like shit again in no time!

I have a midwife appointment! Not until 5th June but another thing to make it feel real! Midwife sounded a bit abrupt on the phone though. I hope shes friendly...

RPopz · 19/05/2014 20:06

Yes, le crazy has receded... Grin apparently I am having a backwards day (ok in the morning, sicky in the evening). Plus I'm exhausted and awesomely bloated! Gammon, egg and chips for tea... no spinach for me!

Minion · 19/05/2014 20:16

I've been having a non pg day, well that was until I started cleaning the kitchen cupboards in me new gaff!
Good lord I'm pooped!
The guy left us some handy hints and tips for the new house and also gave his cleaners name and number.
Well I'll not be using her I can tell you!
The place is a sty!
Loads of cleaning to be done!
But it's mine and I loves it.

wilhelminand · 19/05/2014 20:59

Hi! I've been trying to avoid coming in here quite yet but I've folded.

You're so good with your cleaning Min. I was supposed to get lots done today but quite frankly there is so much to do, I don't really know where to start!

I don't feel sick today either but my boobs are pretty sore. Mr Wil keeps telling me how pleased he is when I feel crap! I know what he means but not the best thing to hear.

Is everyone being quite healthy then? I'm fine at eating vegetables etc but I must have had chocolate 3 times today. I think I'm going to be a right porker this time.

RPopz · 19/05/2014 21:15

Yaaay come on in Wil! I was doing the healthy 5 a day thing until last week when nausea hit with a vengeance.... Saturday I pretty much exclusively lived on crisps and lemonade! Trying not to force myself to eat stuff that makes me heave and also not to feel guilty about it. I know what Mr Wil means, as crappy as the nausea is its kinda reassuring Hmm

Eurgh, my house looks like a bomb's hit it. Mr Rpopz is bloody useless and I seriously cannot be arsed.

I've eaten a tonne of crap today, work was FULL cakes and biscuits people's birthdays and other stuff Blush

RPopz · 19/05/2014 21:16

Still contemplating a jaffa cake though....

JuniDD · 19/05/2014 21:34

Yay, congrats wil!! Brilliant news.
I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and it's only in the last few days I've managed to eat anything resembling a vegetable/fruit. I'm usually crap at 5 a day anyway but trying to improve this from now on.

Just realised my boobs aren't so ridiculous at the moment either, hurrah. I was getting quite sick of that at one point! Consultant appointment on Wednesday.

wilhelminand · 19/05/2014 23:04

Rpopz how's the old anxiety? Mine is acting up like crazy - and not about the pregnancy, just about a whole load of random stuff. Feel very on edge.

Good luck with the consultant Juni. I haven't phoned up for booking app yet, too scared to tempt fate! In fact, I haven't even peed on a second stick. I'll try to get a digi tomorrow if I can fit it in round work. Just to check I'm not making the whole thing up Grin.

RPopz · 20/05/2014 08:11

It's really improved actually Wil. But the time the antids would have properly kicked in coincides with me falling pg so not sure which one of the two it is that's making me feel better! Grin The first couple of weeks after the bfp I was quite anxious about chem pg/ mc and still am to an extent. But it's specific anxiety rather than generalised and constant iyswim. You're being very restrained not poasing!!

Hope everyone's ok this morning! Brew

RPopz · 20/05/2014 08:13

A few ladies on the due in Jan thread have mentioned having waves of anxiety - when they weren't usually prone to it - so perhaps its a pg symptom of sorts?

DulcetMoans · 20/05/2014 09:12

I think, this is such a big thing with so many risks you won't have experienced before its normal to be anxious, isn't it? I know its not the same anxiety as comes with ADs etc but even if you weren't prone before, being preggers is bound to bring it on a bit!

Nessalina · 20/05/2014 16:34

Hey all Smile We got our test results back!! I'm carrying a perfectly healthy baby boy Blush OMG!!!!

JuniDD · 20/05/2014 16:35

Did you test again wil?

I just got a DreamGenii pg pillow from TKMaxx. It is amazing! I really didn't think it would be so will report back tomorrow morning.

I think the anxiety must be a symptom, or natural consequence, of pregnancy. It's such a big thing and all so completely out of one's control, particularly in the beginning when you just don't really know what's going on. Roll with it. After the 12 week scan I definitely started to relax a lot.

RPopz · 20/05/2014 17:06

Yay that's amazing news Ness! Grin

DulcetMoans · 20/05/2014 17:19

A boyby ness, OMG!! Were you surprised or is that what you had guessed?

How can I be hungry, sicky and not hungry all at once??

Off to google dreamgenii...
