Just Shagging Grads, here is your shiny new Fred!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw plenty of births and we've got loads of new Grads to add to the mix. Bring on the TMI posts, the midnight moans, the birthwatches and the pom poms!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 17th thread.

I'm actually TWOTing to find out the sex at the minute! We had the NIFTY blood test done privately at the scan last week to test for chromosome issues (which as baby looked good according to consultant, hopefully there won't be any... ) and as a side effect we get to find out the sex too! Can't believe I'll probably know by next Weds what I'm having Shock
I've not really been getting to the vom zone most of the time, just niggly nausea. Which is lucky really coz I hate to vom!!

Minion · 06/05/2014 09:30

I've just looked in the mirror and all around my eyes I've got little reds dots. It's called petichae and I got it from the horrific bout of exorcist style vomming last night.
It does not make a pretty sight. Boooo
And now I've gotta do a driving lesson in 30 mins, nauseated and all I can smell for some reason, is nail varnish remover. Everywhere I go.

DulcetMoans · 06/05/2014 09:34

So today I am panicked... The line isn't getting any darker on the ICs. I know a line is a line but I am three days further on now, shouldn't levels have doubled and made the line stronger?? Now I have all the fear and sat at work having a worry (and waiting to cry!)

Anyone else considering an early scan?

Completely lost my appetite and lost 2lbs since last week so there's a positive side affect. Doubt that will last long though! haha.

No idea about old wives tales but I have been using my knowledge about sperm to successfully guess the sex of babies. I have 100% success rate so far (based on 2 babies! lol). Basically, if boy sperm are quicker and girls sperms last longer then look at when you think you conceived to see what is more likely. But not helping me as we DTD two days before suspected ov, day of and day after! haha. When guessing others I need to make slightly unfair judgements on whether I think the male has the speedy ones or the longer lasting ones! lol. Sounds gross written down!

Minion · 06/05/2014 12:20

Snap dulcet, that's when we got it on too, so I've not a clue.
Like you lot said to me... Step away from the sticks. It does no good to dwell on such things. It took me a while to understand that when you all told me, but believe me, it's better for the sanity.
Not considering an early scan, I'm more of a head in the sand, I'm not bleeding so hope it's all ok, type of worrier.

DulcetMoans · 06/05/2014 12:42

I know you are right, and I know I told you to stop, but it's much harder when it's you! A big part of me wants to walk to superdrug at lunch and get a FR to see how it looks on there. So much so that I might do it, even though I know I shouldn't! I am worse at being pg than TTC!!

Oh, forgot to add, had weird dream about breast feeding. Was the day after the baby was born (it was a girl!) and then realised that she hadn't eaten at all and was trying to get her to breast feed. For some reason DH was annoyed. Probably because of sharing the boobies!

RPopz · 06/05/2014 18:02

Dulce get a Frer. You'll get an epic line on there and then it'll put your mind at rest. (Says the woman with 6 pee sticks on her bedside table).

Min you sound like you're having some serious bad luck with this ms! Hope you're feeling more human now. How was the driving lesson? I've been snootily telling people for years I'm not going to learn to drive til I get preggers.... somehow can't see it happening!! Wink

Right off to try and catch up with the JSers... wish I had internetz at work!

FurryScoob · 06/05/2014 18:37

dulcet stop POAS! I did a CB digi which came up as 2-3 weeks on the day I got BFP, did another 1 a week later expecting it to say 3+ but it still said 2-3 weeks. I panicked a lot for no reason, just take any type of positive as a good sign!

Just had second attempt at NT scan but the baby is now doing a handstand which doesn't really help. No chance of a 3rd attempt so we've now got to wait for a blood test at 16 weeks. Pregnancy just seems like a never ending TWOT!

DulcetMoans · 06/05/2014 18:49

It didn't go well... I spent £20 on 2xFR and 2xdigis. Walked out of boots feeling stupid but went straight back to work and did the FR - it's defo there. It defo says pregnant. Not sure what else I expect or need! Just kept looking at it in my bag.

What a naughty little one furry. Or maybe they are shy! Bet 16 weeks feels like an age away!

ZingWatermelon · 06/05/2014 19:01

hey preggers!

RPopz · 06/05/2014 19:05

Oooh I haven't done a digi... maybe need to add that to my collection Wink I jokes of course... I'm skint! Do you feel better now though Dulce?

RPopz · 06/05/2014 19:06

Furry thats crazy that the little one is so wriggly!

DulcetMoans · 06/05/2014 19:20

I guess I do popz. Combination of that and a google to see if others have had successful pregnancies with line not getting darker. They have, course they have! In fact some of them said that they think the due isn't as string in ICs. No idea if that's true but ill go with it!

I'm just having a crazy moment - I will pull myself together!

DulcetMoans · 06/05/2014 19:37

*Dye isn't as strong!

RPopz · 06/05/2014 19:54

I'm no expert on hpts but from working in diagnostics I can say... even if your hcg is doubling everyday, it doesn't necessarily follow that the line will get darker every day. Also I think with hpts there's no such thing as weak or strong positive.... its either positive or it isn't. A line is a line.

Basically what I'm trying to say is: don't worry Grin

RPopz · 06/05/2014 19:55

Its hard when its so early and there's no real symptoms or bump. Somedays I think... am I just making this up?? Lol x

Nessalina · 06/05/2014 21:04

Good grief Dulcet, you'll be bankrupt at this rate! Grin
I did a fair few ICs whilst waiting for my BFP no more than three a day Blush But once I'd seen it on the CB digi I calmed down a bit. Didn't stop me doing another CB a week later just to see if the weeks had changed though! Grin

DulcetMoans · 06/05/2014 21:14

I know, if I was reading it about one of you I would be telling you that you're nuts! I will keep the others in the draw now. Maybe one more CB next week... Until then I will just have to believe!

I don't think DH believes I can have symptoms this early! Trying to explain its hormone changes, I think! Not the baby itself.

Nessalina · 06/05/2014 21:42

The hormone changes are the first thing to start! Your DH best be prepared for the crazy lady stuff to begin Wink I definitely felt more emotional, stressed and tired, before any of the sickness and other stuff kicked in. I think I'm getting a bit better now though I did just shout at DH because he was in the room when I walked into a table and stubbed my toe Blush

DulcetMoans · 07/05/2014 10:39

That's a normal response to me injuring myself at home nessa. Even if it has nothing to do with him. We have an understanding though, he leaves me alone until I calm down. God knows what it will be like in labour!

I am going to email him some links with stats on I think, let him read for himself! I don't even have that many side affects at the moment. Just loss of appetite, cramping, bit tired. Etc... Like you say though, he needs to be prepared!!

DulcetMoans · 07/05/2014 11:17

Just phoned my clinic to see what to do about the appointment we had booked for next week. They have cancelled it but want to bring me in for an early scan which I thought was quite nice really.

So I have a scan booked! 29th May. Scary! I will be 7+4 so not sure what we will actually be able to see!

JuniDD · 07/05/2014 15:17

Yay for scan dulcet. How far along are you now? My symptoms kicked in at 6 weeks and then I wished I hadn't wanted them...it's a crazy time.

I think at 7 weeks-ish you should be able to see a little jelly bean, definitely a fetal pole/heartbeat. I am also going to say that before 9 weeks it can be "too small" but they often catch up. On one of my other groups there are a few women who had scans at 6 weeks and had upsetting news but a week later everything was right for dates.

Spend your money on something nice you like to eat, is my advice... Wink.

Been out today buying proper maternity clothes - a lot of time for not a lot of shopping but feeling a bit more prepared for the summer. Of course, it's just not warm at all today but I am ready!

RPopz · 07/05/2014 17:34

Haha that's also standard response for me hurting myself.... woe betide DH if he asks me if I'm ok!

Ooh that is exciting news Dulce. Well jealous :-p

DulcetMoans · 07/05/2014 17:50

haha. I know popz, sorry! I was surprised when they offered it really, I didn't ask for it! I just asked what to do about appointment next week and she said cancel and come back at the end of the month!

I am 4+5 now juni, how about you?

No more spending money on tests, I promise!

RPopz · 07/05/2014 17:54

That's so weird... I think you're further along than me even though I found out before you! Lol!

DulcetMoans · 07/05/2014 18:49

Haha. Well it's based on last AF isn't it? I assume that's how you work it out?! You're having twins anyway popz, that's why you got a BFP so early! Lol. Wink

By my dates I think I am three days earlier than that if it helps!

Still haven't told anyone in real life other than DH. Scared to! I have a friend that knows about appointment next week though so might have to tell her soon.
