Just Shagging Grads, here is your shiny new Fred!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw plenty of births and we've got loads of new Grads to add to the mix. Bring on the TMI posts, the midnight moans, the birthwatches and the pom poms!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 17th thread.

Helllooooo! Found you! I am also one of the flurry!

Officially missed my period today! Grin Pee-d on my 6th stick.... super positive Grin

RPopz · 05/05/2014 09:45

Ha, Dulce laughing at your "scared to fart". I find myself walking really slowly and carefully... a bit like I've shit myself.... you know, in case it falls out.... Hmm

Mr Rpopz has been hinting about shagging all weekend but not sure I can bring myself to just yet! Poor bloke, I've been a JSing Nazi for the past 8 months and now he actually wants to I'm denying him. Haha!

DulcetMoans · 05/05/2014 09:57

Haha. Same here popz, DH started making the move last night for DTD and I turned him down. Actually, worse, I said 'we'll we can if you want to' which really kills the mood! I'm looking forward to the break!

Glad to hear about your line. When I compare the cheapies I can see a different but I want it to be big and thick!

JuniDD · 05/05/2014 10:33

dulcet welcome, excellent news! Rpopz I think I said congrats on t'other thread.

Your pregnancy starts from the day of your last period so you'll be four weeks pregnant, even if you know you conceived day 14 of a 28 day cycle. Your 12 week scan is the dating scan - I got moved a whole week forward so think I must've conceived on day 6/7 of my cycle...back in January!

All ok here, 16 weeks tomorrow. My DH also desperate for some JSing - we haven't actually done it since January either but he is trying to be understanding. So don't feel like it and just trying to do what feels right.

Hope you're all feeling ok so far? If anyone's feeling dreadful, although I was never sick I felt like total crap until bang on 15 weeks when something dramatically changed and I started feeling like a human being again!

epic post xxx

RPopz · 05/05/2014 13:40

That's interesting, thanks Juni. I'm wondering if I conceived early than dates suggest as my test line was pretty solid at 12dpo... Hmm

I'm feeling ok so far. Nothing to report but sore boobs... although even that's not so bad today as it has been in the last week. Went to bed at 9.30 last night due to epic tiredness... which I'm assuming is pg related. Not much else! Not looking forward to ms.... making the most of stuffing my face at the moment Grin

Nessalina · 05/05/2014 15:30

Happy bank holiday viroids Smile
Grin @ scared to fart Dulcet, totally know what you mean!
Feeling so much more chilled out now I've had the scan, but I really have been a nervous wreck.
I've been similar to you with the MS Min - fine in the morning then gradually worse through the afternoon, then by evening I'm awful Confused Feeling cautiously optimistic that it might be on the way out soon... 15 weeks is only a week away! Grin
13+6 today

Nessalina · 05/05/2014 15:31

Me & DH haven't JSed since valentines day Blush First I was too nervous, then I was too sick, so hoping we can get back on it soon!

JuniDD · 05/05/2014 16:56

ooh, a bit of chat in here!
I was amazed at how much calmer I felt after the 12 week scan, it's really nice eh ness?

My 20 week scan is in a month & already getting a bit worried but my bump seems to be getting bigger all the time so that's a nice bit of reassurance. Grin Just wondering if I can hide it at work for another 4 weeks!

Minion · 05/05/2014 16:59

We've bumped uglies twice since finding out, first I was scared he'd dislodge something.. Ha.

FurryScoob · 05/05/2014 17:08

We the treads returned to life!
Congratulations on all the BFP's viroids

ness & minion have you found anything to stop sickness or nausea? I've tried every old wives tail going & it's not working Sad

Had our first attempt at the 12 week scan on Friday but baby just wanted to wave so have to return tomorrow for another scan & nuchal measurement.

Hope everyone's enjoying the bank holiday.

Minion · 05/05/2014 17:14

I'm currently switching between sucking the life out of gin gins (sweets from holland and barratts) and eating cheese.
Weirdly enough cheese seems to stop it.
It's that weird uneasy feeling that's awful, like you know you need to vom but just can't.

RPopz · 05/05/2014 17:33

When did you all start telling people? DH wants to tell the family next weekend!! (I'll be 5 weeks). Seems so early. I'm petrified of miscarriage Sad

Also an old uni friend is organising her hen do... at Go Ape... Don't really know how to refuse without looking like an ass/ letting the cat out of the bag already.... I had two hen dos and she came to bothConfused

Minion · 05/05/2014 17:46

Maybe you have an ear infection which makes you go dizzy at height, then when the booze flows, those damn antibiotics are to blame?
We've told family and close friends who knew we were trying for a long time x

FurryScoob · 05/05/2014 18:03

Oooo not heard of gin gins I'll try some, thanks minion

Rpopz we told immediate family as soon as we found out, if anything had gone wrong we would of wanted their support. I had to tell my boss straight away because I do a lot of heavy lifting with my job, unfortunately my boss cannot keep a secret & by 12 weeks nearly everyone at work knew but I've been so sick it was fairly obvious to everyone after 9ish weeks.

RPopz · 05/05/2014 18:12

Hmm. Have managed to put DH off telling family til 6 weeks. Ideally won't tell friends and work til 12 weeks but I guess it depends on how things work out. There's a promotion coming up at work which I kinda want to apply for...

Literally don't know what to do about the hen do. She's taking numbers and money now but its not til July... Confused

RPopz · 05/05/2014 18:13

I didn't know if not telling people until 12 weeks was an old fashioned idea now or not?

DulcetMoans · 05/05/2014 18:22

Hen do is tough popz, do you think she would understand if you don't go? Dependant on excuse of course!

Did you get to keep the pic of little one waving scoob? What a pest!

Thanks for explaining the weeks thing juni, just sounds like so much father along! Haha. I think you are further along popz, that line was impressive!!

Been out with in laws today and had to be careful what I say! Luckily limited baby talk today, MIL can be a sod for questions about babies!

FurryScoob · 05/05/2014 18:47

Yes, got a good pic of baby laying on its back with its arm behind its head, exactly how DP sleeps!

Just Shagging Grads Fred 8! Roll up, roll up, all Viroids welcome!
JuniDD · 05/05/2014 19:05

Aw, sweet scan pic furry!

I told DH first Wink. Then two close friends. DH told one close friend. I told my parents shortly before our 9 week scan (had early scan due to horrid history). I was glad to tell them before but not too much before as my mum would probably have had a heart attack from the stress. Told a few more friends between scans and after. DH told his parents this weekend (they aren't close). I need to tell one more friend who has had a couple of losses but who I rarely see and then I'll feel a bit more laid back about it. I won't be doing any FB "annoucements" due to TheFear. I don't want to tell work til 20 weeks as it's a small place and hate people knowing my business.

Argh, awkward about the Go Ape. Can you just pay now and get your money back nearer the time once it's common knowledge?

RPopz · 05/05/2014 20:03

Aw Scoob that is super cute!

I think the hen will understand me not going cos I'm upduffed. Trying to find out if a meal or something is happening in the evening as well that I could go to, so then I wouldn't be totally absent. Guess I'm just going to have. to man up and tell her!

I've got a major case of TheFear...

RPopz · 05/05/2014 20:06

Wow 20 weeks seems aaages Juni. Might they have guessed by then anyway?

DulcetMoans · 05/05/2014 20:19

When do you have to pay up by popz? It may be that you have to tell her but I would try and leave it to last possible moment! Would be a good compromise if you could go to a meal in the evening or something. The hen do I just came back from had afternoon tea and meal in the evening for the pregnant ladies - all 6 of them! Turns out 7 now with me too!!

I think a lot of people are obvious by 20 weeks. Can't see us holding out that long to tell people!

JuniDD · 05/05/2014 21:40

Oops, I've told and seen a few more people lately, should've said that.

I'm wearing lots of shirts and scarves and I'm a bit chubby anyway...will just have to see how it goes. There's been a lot of upheaval lately so I don't want to say anything just yet...Scarves are awesome, btw for hiding any tummy chubby. Just a bit annoying it's getting so warm and I don't really need a massive pashmina on a daily basis!

Nessalina · 05/05/2014 22:52

Aww, can't see photo on phone! Good to hear things are going well though Scoob Smile Even if they couldn't do the NT at least you know the lil' one is looking ok!
Re: nausea, I can bizarrely second cheese as a good option! Nibbling on a chunk of cheddar is good Grin I've been trying to steer clear of heavy carbs too especially at lunch time because it sends me into an afternoon spiral of bleurgh. Oh and not so much for nausea, but for general tastiness, blueberries with honey flavoured Greek-style yoghurt is just the best. I'm eating it about 4 times a day at the minute!!
I just told my folks this weekend! They're so excited Smile Really glad we left it to now because they really went through the wringer with us last time, so it was great to just say that everything looks good!
Early on I told my 3 best pals, my boss, and my 3 immediate colleagues. The friends coz I'd need them if it went wrong anyway, my boss coz I'd need time off soon either way, and work coz it was obvious how little tea I was suddenly drinking when I usually mainline it Grin

Minion · 06/05/2014 06:53

I have a great piece of advice which seems to be working wonders for me. When you get to that awful fidgety stage, feeling a bit sick and can't sit still and your band around your bra and/or waist is about to burst open... Just vom.
Seriously, don't be a hero. If you can't go, just chug water really fast or do whatever you can to just vom away.
It makes you feel soooooooooo much better. Thankfully I don't need any help in that department so I really feel for the girls who have the nausea but no release.

Anyone else getting the maddest dreams? Last nights escapades were about people wearing my black silky jammies and they all looked like zod from the superman movies.
There were two more but just like sampled in your hand, they slip away as soon as I wake up.

Also, what do we reckon to the old wives tales re symptoms and sex of baby?
OWTays cravings for protein (cheese etc) say boy but higher levels of sickness and earlier symptoms say girl...
Only 12 weeks to wait and see.
