It comes and goes. So far today I've not been too bad but you just never know when it will strike.

maybe if they don't have a bounty pack sitting on Friday ask about them. As you should get a pregnancy info one, also either the mum-to-be one that same day or you'll have a voucher to get it from certain shops. The wee tubs of sudocreme come in very handy.

RubberBullets · 10/09/2013 13:31

I had the Boots changing bag and one that came with my travel system. In all honesty, I wouldn't bother with one. We just use a normal day sack now, much easier as you can sling it on your back and forget about it.

Maybe whatever you do, don't give Bounty your details when you get your pack. They are bloody awful and I have had a nightmare trying to get them to stop selling my details to people despite never giving them permission. It is pot luck what you get in the packs, mostly it is crap and only worth a few pence. The mini pots of sudocreme are awkward to use, a squeezy tube like Bepanthen or Metanium is much easier to use as it doesn't get all caught in your nails.

cartoontrickster · 10/09/2013 14:36

hmmm does seem boots are out of stock of the colours we want but they are colour packs you buy for the oyster pram so could get them else where and buy the pushchair, carrycot and car seat base. m
I still need to pick up my mum to be pack, keep it sounds the same as the one I got last year. they must not update the freebies often never mind I love free stuff.
its funny the compliants we get in pregnancy. I itch like mad all over some days and I've had thrush since 16wks!
sweetie i hope they sort your hand out! and sorry your still feeling Shit maybe
but don't worry ladies morning sickness will pass then there'll be something else insteadGrin

Not sure about your weird sensation Maybe perhaps a bit of watchful waiting? So i've put a pic up, tried to put another one up but it was a bit big. Sarees are great to hide little bumps by the way!

Looking forward to Friday to hear all the scan news from Pen & Maybe

I reckon MrS will have something to say about the NCT classes too Keep but he's the kind who'll nod along and then I'll hear it on the way home! How are you coping with work at the moment?

Lovely to see you Olives I will make sure I always have brekkie now!! That was the one time I haven't so far.

Poor you with the thrush Trix Hope it clears up soon.

I got a bounty pack at my booking in but the only free sample I got was de-caff tea, which was yucky!

keepitgoing · 10/09/2013 15:53

solars you look amazing!! Most glamorous brooker by far I'm sure.

Work's ok, though when I have a long day I get pretty knackered. I am getting a fairly painful lower back after I've been lying or sitting, but it eases up when I move around, so I guess the answer is just to keep moving!

maybe it could be a UTI, but try just drinking lots and see if it goes. You have your appointment on Friday anyway, so if it's still there then I'd ask to have your urine tested for a UTI (they normally just test for protein and sugar, but can send it to the lab to culture).

oh solars that is the first bounty pack, this better one is the second one. I don't know when 'normal' people get it as I am a bit odd ;) But actually I agree they do then send you a lot of crap by email so maybe put a fake email address.

I'm so excited we've got a new grad, I was thinking it was about time as we've got about one a month at the moment. Grin

got tesco.com about to arrive. God, I love internet shopping. I just can't be arsed to go anywhere... Also just had my asda delivery of sheets and towels etc for Kip. By far the cheapest I could find for anyone who's looking for basic stuff, £7 for 2 cotton sheets etc.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/09/2013 16:20

Solars you're a total knockout!! Gorgeous!x

Thanks for the advice Keep, I shall keep an eye on it. That sounds like a bargain! I can't face supermarkets at the moment. Yuk.

Glad you're feeling ok today Pen

Glad to hear T is doing so well Olives!

Trix that thrush sounds nasty! Can you take anything in pregnancy for it?

Good advice Rubber

keepitgoing · 10/09/2013 17:12

Gosh trix you'd not mentioned the thrush, how horrible! I really really really hate thrush. Makes you feel manky.

Have just eaten a mountain of tiger bread and nutella It's so tasty!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/09/2013 17:16

Ooh, sounds amazing Keep! Tiger breads the best especially with nutella

cartoontrickster · 10/09/2013 17:29

its bloody hateful. I get it on and off all the time anyway.
but now its not shifting. I've had 5 caneston pesseries. as a last resort they gave me a different kind that's really strong it helped and I was ok for around a week or so but today its back with a vengance. so I'm stuck with it now.
trouble is when its this bad I cant stand to wear jeans/trousers/leggings/tights. so god knows what ill find to wear its getting chilly now.

SweetieTime · 10/09/2013 18:49

Solars you must look after yourself and eat regularly even if it is just a biscuit. I feel sickly if I get too hungry not that that ever happens but not actually been sick. Poor you.

Keep I got the same bounty pack on Monday too but no panty liners in mine I don't think. Mine was a Morrisons nappy too which I thought a bit Hmm I didn't fill the form in so thanks for the warning Bullets

Maybe do you have to take a pee sample to your scan? I have to take one to every appointment. It is worth mentioning at your scan and if they are worried they can do the dip stick and send your sample off for further analysis.

Trix just think of all the Boots points you could get from a big order like that. Might be worth keeping an eye out.

SweetieTime · 10/09/2013 18:55

Solars I can not see you pic Sad

Solars · 10/09/2013 19:10

I've just made it visible again Sweetie. Thanks for the lovely comments.

Sweetie do you have to take a sample even at scans? I didn't at my 12 week one and no-one asked for one, not site whether to take one to my 20 week scan now. Hopefully they'll give me a sample pot if I need to. Are you feeling lots of movement now?

I didn't sign up to bounty either but I think it might be a good idea to set up a separate email address for baby stuff, I may do that so it doesn't clog up my normal account.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 10/09/2013 19:43

Solars you look amazing in your pics! Very glamorous indeed :)

I gave the Bounty people a very similar email address to my own, but it was wrong so I don't have to put up with their boring emails. Unfortunately the bags I got were totally naff, they've clearly improved them since all the bad publicity Grin

SweetieTime · 10/09/2013 20:11

Solars you look radiant in your picture, not at all like someone sick in car parks Grin
My 20 week scan wasn't done in the ante natal area of the hospital and I didn't see anyone other than the sonographer. But every other appointment, including 12 week, I have had to take a pee sample. They always give me 2 sample pots to replace the one I hand over, not sure what that is all about.

Loads of movement here especially after meals and at bed time. It is really reassuring to feel them. They haven't woken me up yet but I am sure as they have less room and get stronger they will.

I am so embarrassed as just had a delivery of a free gift from when I signed up for Prima Baby magazine for the next 6 months. The gift was MAM bottles and breast pump. But I didn't expect it to say on the box MAM BREAST PUMP BlushBlushBlush

Solars · 10/09/2013 20:31

Sweetie, Boo thanks. They give you sample pots?? My hospital don't even give me those, I asked MrS to bring a couple home with him but I've already run out, hmmm next time I'm there I'll ask for some. Oh dear on your delivery Grin

I haven't really signed up for anything yet, who are the best ones to sign up with? I gather boots is one, any others?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/09/2013 20:39

Ive not been told to bring a sample to my MW appointments. I got given a stool sample pot (minus to scoop Grin ) and I have to rinse it out and reuse it every time! If they send a sample off, they give me another pot for there and then.

Sweetie that delivery cracked me up Grin

SweetieTime · 10/09/2013 21:13

Bizarre, I would have thought everyone was given sample pots. My colleagues said she wasn't given different pots either, she had to wash hers out too, and her DD is 3. Things must have recently changed in our trust. The pots are more like a test tube with screw lid and impossible to hit in direct flow. I have to use my trusty ramekin and then transfer to the pot.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/09/2013 21:32

Mine is also impossible to wee in!! Thank goodness my dignity was already lost!! Wee fingers are nothing now Wink

keepitgoing · 10/09/2013 22:16

sweetie same here, there are piles of test tubes in the hospital waiting room. And so hard to pee in, esp as bump gets bigger, I guess by the end you can't see it! First time I was given one of those disposable things ladies use at festivals iykwim which attached to the test tube. Silly me threw it away as it said disposable...

I never take one with me, I can always wee so that's never an issue :)

keepitgoing · 10/09/2013 22:29

Also maybe I meant to say that although I pee a stupid amount in the day recently nights have been ok. I've even slept through a couple of times, shock horror. My theory is that in the day kip uses my bladder as a pillow/punch bag, but at night he's not directly on it, and I'm more used to the hormones, but who knows. I'm just trying to make the most of it while it lasts.

ThedementedPenguin · 10/09/2013 22:29

I've got pretty used to peeing into those stupid pots. I'm not sure whether I need a sample this time but usually I have to bring one to all appointments.

solars you look gorgeous. Thats a great picture of you.

trix that thrush sounds horrible.

maybe I really hope you feel better soon.

I can't actually believe you have to wash out sample pots, I never get them back they are thrown in the bin after every test. I just go to the clinic and ask for more.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/09/2013 22:32

Thanks Keep that gives me hope Smile. So you find Kip sleeps when you do?

Pen, the MW didn't empty the pot after she took it for testing, I had to carry it back out as there was someone in the toilet!! By the time ugly home it was all hot Grin

keepitgoing · 10/09/2013 22:50

Er, no maybe, quite the opposite in fact. And the latest part in the book says he'll be developing his sleep tues now,for once he's born... But it doesn't keep me awake really yet.. I think he's just not right on top of the bladder when I'm lying down. Gravity, y'know? [grin[

NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/09/2013 22:53

That makes sense. I find it all so fascinating how they develop all these skills. Amazing. I think if Fin makes it, he is going to amaze me every day Smile

RubberBullets · 11/09/2013 10:17

I was given one of the normal pots, not the test tube style so I could wee directly into it. I had to take it to all my MW appointments but not scans. MW would wash it out and give it back to me each time, I've still got it somewhere :o
