Thanks lovely munx! I'm so excited Grin

Solars · 30/08/2013 18:08

Hi, I feel like such a bad brooker as I've not been able to keep up with you all as much as I'd like! Work has just been very busy and most weekends have just been really hectic too and then of course the exhaustion....

Sweetie I hope your guests leave early perhaps you can keep hinting that you're very tired, lots of yawning might help! Good luck tomorrow and I hope you feel better. I'd be inclined to an elc too if I was having twins.

I haven't got a clue about car seats or prams yet! You're all worrying me, there seems to be so much to learn!

Brooking for you Trix for Monday, that's come around quick!

Pen hope you mange to get something lovely for DS I'm sure whatever it is he'll enjoy it.

Waves to Munx & Maybe

Keep I'm glad reading about labour has been ok. I am a bit terrified of it all! Yum and yes please to banana cake!

I got my results back for my NK and they're within limits so no lipids again but I still have to retest in 3-4 weeks, boo! Also I had a lovely note left for me by my lovely gp. I went to pick up my repeat prescriptions from the surgery and she'd left a note saying how happy she was to hear my news. I never managed to see her for my gp visit after my BFP as it was difficult to get an appointment with her but it was so lovely to get her note today. Not much else to report, I have my consultant appointment next week as well as my 16 week midwife appointment, by the way will she try and find the heartbeat at this appointment?

RubberBullets · 30/08/2013 18:41

We just used the carseat that came with the pram. As we would be using both cars we didn't want one with a base as that would mean we would need 2. It really isn't a faff to put the seat in using seatbelts, just practise a couple of times before the baby arrives so you feel confident at the hospital.

Towards the end of my pregnancy we just put the seat in my car and left it there so we were ready to go when I went into labour. We were told by the midwife that it is much more common than you think for people to forget to bring it with them :o

NoMaybeAboutIt · 01/09/2013 09:19

Morning brookers! How are we all?

Boo when are you back from hollibobs?

Solars great news about the NK cells. Will there come point when you don't even have to go for tests? Your GP sounds lovely, so thoughtful.

How'd the party go Sweetie?

Solars · 01/09/2013 11:15

Morning!

We have been having a very lazy morning, reading papers in bed and enjoying a lie in. The in laws tired us both out yesterday!

Maybe I really hope there is a point when they stop testing but not sure when, I thought 2 clear tests might have been enough to say no more tests. I have been reading the ff forum for argy and people are still being tested late into the pregnancy.

How is everyone else? I have a very busy week next week a couple of appointments and then a few functions for my cousins wedding and on top of that still trying to keep on top of work, so today is all about laziness and relaxation I think!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 01/09/2013 11:34

Lazy morning in here too Solars, I'm still in my PJs!

I'm really dreading work this week. My nausea is even worse at the moment, and 6am wake up calls are not filling me with joy Sad

Hopefully they stop testing soon. Or at least space the tests out even more. How exciting about the wedding though. Did you get your outfit back?

keepitgoing · 01/09/2013 11:35

Me too solars. Walking in the peak district was tiring yesterday, and starting work on Tuesday, so resting now.

keepitgoing · 01/09/2013 11:37

Oh maybe :( hopefully it'll ease off soon, most people think 9-11 the worst weeks x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 01/09/2013 11:41

Anks Keep, that's good to know. In the words of that famous song, things can only get better Wink x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 01/09/2013 11:41

Thanks even Blush

keepitgoing · 01/09/2013 12:59

Errrr, I think late pregnancy is not a breeze either, but the second tri is fab! But yes, in sickness terms things can only get better!

Solars · 01/09/2013 14:16

Oh Maybe you poor think hope you feel better soon x

Are you looking forward to work Keep? I bet that walk in the Peak District was lovely.

I have to admit I am worrying a little that all is ok in there, bump doesn't seem to have grown much and I'm obviously still not feeling anything, someone please slap me :(

ThedementedPenguin · 01/09/2013 14:36

solars try not to worry, I didn't feel ds move until after 20 week scan. Hopefully you'll feel sunbeam soon but try not to worry.

maybe I really feel for you, I remember how awful it was working and feeling sick, I hope it passes for you soon and you start to feel a lot better.

I'm exhausted today, thought I'd come on and catch up but might try to have a nap as ds is in bed.

Hi to everyone else

NoMaybeAboutIt · 01/09/2013 15:13

Thanks everyone. I know late pregnancy is tough, I just want to stop feeling like I've got flu Sad

Solars, little sunbeam is a ok. You'll be so reassured when you can feel movements.

Pen I just woke up from a nap too. But I want to go and have another one! Did you get DS's present sorted?

SweetieTime · 01/09/2013 15:15

Solars do you know if you have an anterior placenta? I feel very little movement on my left side where boy twin is but quite a lot from right side where girl twin is. That said I didn't feel much at all from either until at least 21 weeks. I think front placentas do cushion a lot of the movements but I can totally understand your concerns.

Maybe you poor love, the sickness sounds horrible and especially when you have to work through it. Just try to rest and keep your fluid intake up {{{hugs}}}

Keep who won the endurance event in you and FiL? Glad you are enjoying your restful day. Did you manage to find something suitable to wear for work next week?

I have had a very Blush morning. I went to Tesco to take advantage of the baby event and buy more cheap nappies. I managed to drop a fresh soup in the chilled aisle and of course it splattered all over the floor and over my shoes Then I was getting DH a chocolate cream donut even though he doesn't deserve it and managed to drop that too. I am sure I was close to getting evicted from Tescos for causing havoc. My grip is so bad at the moment, at least I only have another week until my next consultant appointment when I will be mentioning it.

Hmm on the party front. Guest tried to get taxis from 11.30 and eventually went at about 12.45. DH went to bed at about 11 as he was drunk - grrrrr. Then spent most of the night throwing up but tried to blame the food I had made even though I am fine. Men, don't they drive you mad??? I am hoping he is getting it all out of his system before the twins arrive as there is no way I want him carrying on like this when we have babies to care for.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 01/09/2013 15:18

Oh no Sweetie! I hope you have him the dropped donut to eat Wink is he grovelling at all?!

Did you manage to get your nappies after all that?

SweetieTime · 01/09/2013 15:37

He is feeling very sorry for himself. I got the nappies, Pampers 1st size for 7.4p each when I bought 2 boxes of 74 for £20. This works out cheaper than ASDA or Aldi own brand. I am a right bargain hunter.

ThedementedPenguin · 01/09/2013 15:41

maybe the nap wasn't to be. Ds woke up and is a grump so I'm sat on floor while he beats up his Noah's ark.

Yes we got him sorted. I got him a quad :) it's awesome but I know ill be exhausted pushing him around on it but once he gets the hang of it he will be able to push the button to go.

sweetie sounds awful. I'd be making sure he makes it up today. Have you thought of what nappies you are going to use?

keepitgoing · 01/09/2013 16:24

sweetie mrsweetie is v naughty. I'd have gone to bed and woken him up to make the guests leave. Is he being useless and hungover today too? I am v impressed at your bargain hunting!

solars anterior placenta here too, and no movement felt till 20+1! I was super stressy about it too, but even 22-23 weeks is normal for some people. Plus I think some babies are quoted.

I am pleased to say I won the event hands down, but am v tired today and feel like crying about everything. I think I'm nervous about starting work on Tuesday, pissed off with the landlord, pissed off with dh who wants to start looking at houses to buy when I can hardly bear to think about it - we've just moved and still have a billion things to do.

sweetie I'm so sorry you're having such trouble with your grip. Would it be worth asking your MW or GP prior to next week's appointment?

Ooh, we have our first nct class tomorrow night. Will dh be home by 7..... He is under strict instructions, but......

keepitgoing · 01/09/2013 16:29

solars I've just checked. You're not even 16 weeks, of course you've not felt movement, you silly moo :) Yes, I believe most MWs check the HB at the 16 week appt, though I've read some don't as it can be hard to find, and they don't want to cause panic. So pleased your nk levels are fine. Maybe overly cynical but is it the private clinic who want to keep testing you...?

Solars · 01/09/2013 19:11

I have an anterior placenta too Keep & Sweetie. The 20 week scan can't come soon enough for me, we got our date for it yesterday which is on October 2, nice and early too so not so much stressing before hand. I know I'm a silly moo Keep Blush I'm so hoping I get to hear the heartbeat because 12 to 20 weeks without a scan is so looong! Perhaps a sit down with DH will help about all the things getting on top of you, plus I think once you've had your first day at work things may feel a little better, the days before can always feel a bit anxious. By the way yes it's the private clinic making me test Hmm Let us know how you get on with the nct class.

Sweetie glad to hear naughty DH is feeling sorry for himself. My mil gave a talking to, to MrS yesterday saying he should be doing more and taking care of me which I thought was quite sweet until she touched my bump and I felt really weird about it. MrS has been the only person to do that, am I weird to feel that?

Maybe I'm sorry I forgot to answer you, I get my blouse back on Thursday as my mum is bringing it down, I had it made in the midlands and she picked it up for me. Hope you're trying to eat even though it must be hard you poor thing, can you keep soups down? Perhaps some home made nutritious soups will help.

Pen what a cool birthday gift! Sorry you didn't get your nap, perhaps early to bed tonight?
