The one where hopefully we are feeling less nauseous and knackered (although we develop hippo hands and feet due to the heat!), we are entering or are in our second trimester (phew!), we continue with 12 week scans and test results (ekkk!), we have 16 week midwife appointments and hear the heartbeat (OMG - aw!), we potentially see the beginnings of bumps and feel the first flutters of movement (wow!) and the 20 week scan for some is just around the corner! Grin

Oh and we try to improve our diets after surviving on one food group during the first trimester!!! Wink

Bring it on thread 7!!!

(pod hope I did you proud)!

flowers Congrats on a great scan! That grin will be there for a while!

All the pram advice is great! Although can't believe some are £800+!

Frizz1986 · 23/07/2013 09:03

Omg feeling worse than sick today. Haven't slept well, back aches, icky belly and loose stools this morning and just feel sick all the time plus the horrible taste in my mouth has returned. Have tried eating various different things that would normally help but they are making me feel worse.

How do I tell if it's just pg related or a bug? Really don't want to go home from work because I feel sick due to getting pregnant, but if it might be a bug then I wouldn't feel so bad. Plus my boss just seems to just say to take it slow when I say how awful I feel. When will this bit stop?? Am 15+4 today and it's been so much worse since 12 weeks Sad

Just needed a moan.

MrsAVB · 23/07/2013 09:05

Congrats on lovely scan flowers!
mrabc, some of the prams are ridiculous (sorry if I offend anyone...) - we saw a "robotic" pram the other day, with a computer screen to tell you the temp, what speed you're going etc. It also had headlights!
Am feeling crap today. Massive vom during which I realised it might be time for the tena ladies... Sad, tummy is crampy, am shattered from not sleeping well due to the heat. But at least I don't have a furry tummy yet Grin.
Have a good day all x

sarahleanne · 23/07/2013 09:41

Nearly just had a heart attack push

sarahleanne · 23/07/2013 09:42

Woops stupid fone, meant to say nearly just had a heart attack pushin my 20month daughter up a steep hill to the park. When did I get so unfit . Starting to get a proper bump now woohoo

MrsGSR · 23/07/2013 10:36

flowers glad your scan went well :)

MrsAVB if my husband sees that, he will want it :/ maybe I'll go pram shopping on my own...

frizz hope you feel better soon!

I'm panicking today because my bump seems to have disappeared! I've been waking up with a noticeable bump when I lie on my back (stood up I still just look fat) but today its a lot smaller. I'm telling myself baby's just changed positions and I don't need to get another private scan, but I'm not sure how long I'll last!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 23/07/2013 10:43

flowers yay for your scan! Lush.

MrsAVB and Frizz oh poor you(s), how rubbish. At least it's a bit cooler today? Does that help?

MrsGSR I have the beginnings of a bump when lying down, but it comes and goes. Some mornings I think it's ready to 'pop out' but others it's gone. I was going to write 'flat', but my belly has never in its life been that. Grin

So, is everyone excited about the wee Prince? I am! A few people on Fb are being all cool and 'oh I don't care, they're just scroungers' about it, which is making me VERY CROSS. It's lovely, and they should stop being horrid.

Mythreeknights · 23/07/2013 11:20

If anyone wants to buy a second hand Bugaboo Ghecko, let me know...it's red / black and I used it with DS1 and LOVED it. I then had DS2 16 months later and needed a double buggy so the bugaboo (which is by far the best buggy IMO) has been sitting in our study since then. It is in great condition and you can switch the handles so baby faces you or out, fits maxi cosi car seat, has rain cover / parasol, shopping bag etc. Wheels are super. I bought it for £600+ and tried selling on ebay but refused to sell it below £250, so didn't. But if anyone wants it for £230 ono + delivery cost, then get in touch.

Are sales pitches allowed on MN? Apols if not...!! Shock

Mythreeknights · 23/07/2013 11:23

Humpty I couldn't agree more - it's brilliant and they are brilliant and all these too cool for school (or should it be '2 kool 4 skool') types who arch their brows and say how bored they are by it all, can't be human.

MrsGSR · 23/07/2013 11:41

Humpty thats reassuring, thank you. I'm a massive worrier!
I'm really excited about the royal baby, even if you don't care about the royal family any excuse for a celebration is a good thing!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 23/07/2013 12:10

Mythree whereabouts in the UK are you? I'd possibly be interested, but would want to try it out first, if at all possible!
Also, yes, they are way '2 cool 4 skool' and should stop pissing on peoples' parades. I've just defriended two (online only) FB friends over it. I'm so not interested in people being all mealy mouthed and unpleasant. If you have nothing nice to say about a nice event, shut up!

MrsGSR of course you are - we all are, aren't we? Worrying = first lesson of parenthood, apparently Grin

Sultanajo · 23/07/2013 12:30

MrsGSR my bump is also fecking with my head! One day seems to be there getting me excited and then next it seems to have deflated! Today it seems to be back....not sure if it's back for good or if it's gonna go up and down again a few more times! You would have thought that at nearly 18 weeks I wouldn't be worrying any more. WRONG!!! Come on 20 week scan, you are taking too long!!! Grin

I am not a royalist at all, but did definitely get excited when it was finally announced and ultimately it's a new squishy baby! What's not to love!!! Did get annoyed a bit by all the hype (ducks while gets things thrown at her), but that was purely the press I was annoyed at! The press really just piss me off! They write so much tosh and get away with it, that you don't know what to believe half the time and that gets right on my tits! There are some that don't, but unfortunately those that do ruin it for the rest of them and give them all a bad rep! But that's another matter entirely....

Yeay for a healthy happy little bubba for Kate and Wills! Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 23/07/2013 12:48

sultana yeah, totally with you - the press are insane, it's like rabid dogs tearing a carcass apart! The posts I've got cross about aren't about that though, they're all 'oh I'm way too COOL to care about something as INSIGNIFICANT as a baby'. I agree the media coverage has been pathetic, but that was to be expected!

Yay for a happy healthy royal bean indeed!

Sultanajo · 23/07/2013 12:52

Here here Humpty!

Meant to say - great news on your scan "flowers"!

keskiviikko · 23/07/2013 13:23

I must admit I am a royalist, but the coverage on this birth is horrible. I really feel for Princess Kate, can you imagine going through labour and child birth knowing that the media from the whole world is camped outside the hospital waiting for you to come out. I've never had a baby, but I can imagine that after something like that all you want to do is slope off home in your jogging bottoms and old baggy t-shirt and put your feet up, not to have to get dolled up to the nines and look fantastic waving on the steps of the hospital.

Sultanajo · 23/07/2013 13:26

That's exactly how I felt "keski"! I guess they are used to it and know what they have signed up for, but it really shouldn't be like that in the first place. Poor lady! Bad enough having her HG splashed all over the press....

OP posts:
HumptyDumptyBumpty · 23/07/2013 13:27

keski oh god yeah - I cried yesterday when they announced she was in labour, not because I was sad/happy, but because I feel for her, poor love. It's lovely news, but we don't need EVERY IMAGE POSSIBLE. Just a nice one of them and the baby when they're ready. It's possible to report on an event without a reporter and live footage.

MrsVDB · 23/07/2013 14:46

Just tried to book my babybond scan ... mrsr how did you do it? Lady on the phone was bloody useless and couldn't really understand her so gave up!!

MrsRApilot · 23/07/2013 14:56

mrsv I've booked 2 scans with them through the website. The mobile browser is a bit lacking so if you have a computer it's way easier to do it on the full site, however I did book one on the mobile site so it can be done. You select whichever scan you want and it makes to enter your due date etc to check that particular scan is suitable. There's 2 different options for the gender scan, the one from 16 weeks is more expensive than the one from 18 weeks so make sure you pick the right one. (I nearly made that mistake!)

Let me know how you get on :-)

Toothfairy78 · 23/07/2013 15:27

Afternoon' ladies,

Just checking in on my way to my 16wk appointment with the mw.

We have streaming 24 hr news on at work and people are just gawping at the royal baby news. Feel really sorry for Kate and Wills and the other patients at that hospital with all the paparazzi getting in the way.

MrsVDB · 23/07/2013 15:33

Ah yes that's much easier thank you :)

TobyLerone · 23/07/2013 16:12

I've had my mw appointment today too. Sadly it's looking more and more likely that I'll have to have an ELCS :( But we heard the heartbeat and saw a different mw, who was lovely.

She also gave me some tips for the headaches. Last night's was so awful I actually wanted to chop my head off. It started yesterday morning and just got worse and worse. It woke me up before the storm did!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 23/07/2013 16:47

Toby is that because of the fibroids? Is it not something you wanted? Sorry to hear it if not. I think you need a nice cup of tea and some cake to cheer yourself up.
Also please to share headache tips - mine are INCESSANT!

tooth hope it goes well - can't wait for mine on Monday!

Sultanajo · 23/07/2013 16:50

Oh Toby what a shame. Great you got to hear the heartbeat though! Now, don't keep em to yourself, what are these headache tips. Mine started yesterday afternoon because I clearly didn't drink enough, but then carried on, got worse and then woke me up at 2am behind my left eye! It was AGONY! It was still there when I got up this morning - it has eased a bit, but I can still feel it and think it's gonna strike again tonight, so am desperately drinking as much as possible!
