The one where hopefully we are feeling less nauseous and knackered (although we develop hippo hands and feet due to the heat!), we are entering or are in our second trimester (phew!), we continue with 12 week scans and test results (ekkk!), we have 16 week midwife appointments and hear the heartbeat (OMG - aw!), we potentially see the beginnings of bumps and feel the first flutters of movement (wow!) and the 20 week scan for some is just around the corner! Grin

Oh and we try to improve our diets after surviving on one food group during the first trimester!!! Wink

Bring it on thread 7!!!

(pod hope I did you proud)!

Anyone watching the Royal Baby thread? It's v entertaining and MNers keep being quoted by the press (well, the Daily Fail/Mail) (does that count as 'press'?)

enormouse · 22/07/2013 15:58

mythreeknights with interest. I really should be doing something productive but I seem to be addicted. Smile

MrsVDB · 22/07/2013 15:59

Link please!

Sultanajo · 22/07/2013 16:59

I have to say, I feel a bit sorry for Kate. She will be an emotional wreck and have to potentially deal with the public and looking good for the cameras.... I hope they are shielding her from what is going on outside so she can concentrate on the important job of squeezing the bubba out! She must be sweating buckets!

I find all the hype a bit ridiculous to be honest! Bah humbug! Will be cute to see pics of the baby, but I am happy to wait until they are ready to do a shoot in OK or Hello! Grin

Hi all

Nice new thread! And HG is dying down thank God. Definitely going back in to school this week after 5 weeks off. Not sure if I'm looking forward to it- not everyone knows why I was off.. or perhaps they do...

Who mentioned hairy bellies? Got a bad case of hairy-bellies-gonna-getcha.

Apologies for double thread.. back to the app methinks.

Frizz1986 · 22/07/2013 18:31

mrsg I am hoping that they do a lion king moment and get some dude to hold the baby aloft out of the window while Elton John sings circle of life.
I am v excited about the birth, just because it's so lovely that she will get to be a mum, sod all the royalty stuff (although it would be nice if it was a girl as what a thing to be alive for, the first female born who will def be queen regardless of if they have a boy next)

Can't remember who mentioned hunger but my belly rumbles every hour regardless of what I eat. Have felt v v sick today but know I need to keep eating of i will actually be sick.

When has everyone started feeling movement? I thought I felt something a few times last week when I went to bed, but not sure now. Seems a bit early (only 15+3 today) and it's my first so would think it would take longer to notice. Really want to feel something as then I won't be so panicked about the midwife not being able to find a hb at 16 week app (don't know why I am so worried)

MrsGSR · 22/07/2013 18:39

frizz I've started watching modern family this week (as dh is away and if I watch my usual murder mysteries I won't sleep...) and when the gay couple adopt a baby one of them presents her to the family with 'circle of life' playing. I found it really funny. DH loves lion king, if he sees that he'll suggest we do similar!

Sultanajo · 22/07/2013 18:43

frizz I too was ridiculously worried for the 16 week appointment and now of course worrying about the 20 week scan! Would love to just chill out and be excited!

mrsgsr I love modern family! Phil is my fav! The lion king moment was hilarious!,Grin

I think I felt movement! :) I have actually thought that a few times over the last week but today it was definite. It was so Cute. It was like a little mouse running about in my womb for 3 seconds.

MrsGSR · 22/07/2013 19:03

sultanajo I love it, there's only 2 seasons on Netflix, I'll probably have watched them twice by the time he gets home!

penny thats so exciting!

My 16 week appointment is next week, do they always check the heartbeat? I go back to Devon (again!) 2 days later so it would be good to be able to tell everyone its going well :)

Penny31 · 22/07/2013 19:11

They checked at mine, I think most do check. You can always ask if they don't offer?

TarkaTheOtter · 22/07/2013 19:20

In my last pregnancy they said they no longer listen to the heartbeat as standard, but they would if I wanted to (I did). Not sure if it varies by area though.

sarahleanne · 22/07/2013 19:26

woa a late check in for me...hello everyone

who mentioned about it dragging now? trust me if you think its dragging now, wait until you get to about 32 weeks, then it seriously starts dragging and everyday feels so long haha.
This time is going quicker for me so far woohoo.

Currently looking on tinternet for a picture to hang on my kids rooms wall ( boy and girl unisex pic).hmmmm.

finally getting my energy back, so pleased.Really trying to enjoy this pregnancy as its my last one.

flowersfortea · 22/07/2013 23:02

Still grinning!

FidgetPie · 22/07/2013 23:22

Hi all - checking in a few days late!

On the pram conversation, we got a Loola Up with DD and will be sticking with that for this one. It faces front or parent (how I tended to use it) is easy to fold away and not to heavy. It works with a maxi cosy car seat. (It also has a bar rather than two handles so can be pushed one handed and is adjustable height so works for taller dads as well). We loved it can you tell?!

shobro · 23/07/2013 00:39

I've had some brown bleeding and pink too. Scares the life or of you eh. No idea why I have it but have bleed advert I have been busy. I think that although I don't feel I have been lifting to much that maybe I have? Fingers crossed everything is on.

shobro · 23/07/2013 00:40

We are due jan 21 the well flowersfortea. Really can't wait now.
