The one where hopefully we are feeling less nauseous and knackered (although we develop hippo hands and feet due to the heat!), we are entering or are in our second trimester (phew!), we continue with 12 week scans and test results (ekkk!), we have 16 week midwife appointments and hear the heartbeat (OMG - aw!), we potentially see the beginnings of bumps and feel the first flutters of movement (wow!) and the 20 week scan for some is just around the corner! Grin

Oh and we try to improve our diets after surviving on one food group during the first trimester!!! Wink

Bring it on thread 7!!!

(pod hope I did you proud)!

percy what is it with these rushing mws! Hmm What a disappointment!

I have only had one baby dream I think. I was having twins and they had to temporarily take one out and put it in someone else. Thats not the worst part - the op was going to be performed by my old boss who is a vet AND in order for them to know it had been a success I had to jump across four roof tops with massive drops! Shock

Ha ha sultana

I had a dream the other night that I was breast feeding an animal. When I woke up I couldn't work out whether it had been the cat or a monkey. Both pretty distirbing! What's with all these animal dreams??

Frizz1986 · 08/08/2013 20:05

Ok so over the past few days i have had a small wet patch in my underwear. Over the course of the day it seems to grow to 4cm in diameter. Its not soaking and i cant feel anything dripping out, its just noticably damp.
I have had a sniff (sorry tmi) and there is a slight smell but i think it is more because well lets face it, its rather warm down there and so i often find that there is a slight smell and always have (even before pg)
I am not sure if this is normal discharge, is it pee, is it fluid. Should there be no smell at all? Tried calling the mw but they must finish before 4 as i couldnt get hold of anyone. Is it worth calling in the morning to see if i should get checked out or am i over thinking nothing??

Onto everything else..... No weird dreams here just yet, but also not feeling any flutters anymore so think it may have just been gas when i thought it was bubs.
Felt like i had a bowling ball in my belly when i woke up today tho so maybe it is getting more solid. Have been trying to feel my uterus but dont know what i am feeling for and the whole belly seems to feel the same so not sure how the mw could feel it so fast!!! (I guess it is their job tho)

Very excited for all the scans that are coming up. Looking forward to seeing how everyone finds it. Still 2 weeks until mine.

Think i am lucky with the mw i have seen so far. It never feels like she is rushing me and has tine for a bit of general chit chat as well as making sure i have asked any questions. She seems very relaxed when i ask a stupid question which puts me at ease.

kitteninmittens · 08/08/2013 20:08

sultanajo that is the maddest dream! I haven't had any proper baby dreams, just generally odd (and rather frisky) dreams!

Percy that is so rubbish, I had my next appointment today and I saw a Doctor! Was rather surprised, she did the usual bp, urine etc (no doppler Sad) she was very nice though and she did let me ask my looooong list of questions!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 08/08/2013 20:18

percy that is shit, you poor thing. Mythreeknights started a thread on the Pregnancy board about rubbish 16wk appointments. Maybe we need a protest march?

Re baby dreams, I forgot that I had one about deciding to give birth at 20wks, and then changing my mind halfway through and going home Grin.

MrsGSR · 08/08/2013 20:21

That's a crazy dream sultana! It reminded me of another dream I had where I took baby out of my stomach so I could see her but then couldn't figure out how to get her back in. Woke up in a slight panick.

AnotherStitchInTime · 08/08/2013 21:10

Ah the crazy dreams of pregnancy, forgetting the baby, being chased, not looking forward to those again.

I realised today with everyone talking about milk leakage that I still have a sanitary pad in my handbag. Clearly in denial here about being pregnant, should really swap it for breast pads, but I suppose I could cut the San pad in half and stick it in my brain in an emergency.

Frizz more discharge (or wee leakage in later pregnancy) is normal, if it gets annoying a panty liner helps as do pelvic floor exercises for the weeing while laughing/sneezing/coughing.

Sultana you must be very excited about your scan tomorrow. Are we updating the stats thread with girl and boy once we find out?

Speaking of meeting mums and babies, I have found my local playgroups quite good, there are often local ones in church halls that meet regularly. I just put baby and toddler groups and the first part of my postcode into Google and found a link to Netmums where they had a whole list of groups near me. Whereabouts are we all based? Some of us might be near each other too. I am in West London.

AnotherStitchInTime · 08/08/2013 21:11

bra not brain, bloody tablet.

Sultanajo · 08/08/2013 21:12

humpty & mrsg your dreams cracked me up! And mittens am with u on the frisky dreams too! Grin

frizz I had something similar a few weeks back and got really worried! Couldnt work out if it was pee or just a sudden huge load of discharge - of course was concerned re amniotic fluid too! It hasnt happened since....I would definitely say call your mw in the morning though for reassurance. To this day I dont know what it was....

Sultanajo · 08/08/2013 21:13

mrsv lots of ladies having animal dreams. Really weird!

OP posts:
Sultanajo · 08/08/2013 21:16

another your brain typo really made me chuckle! Grin Brilliant! Yeah am really nervous and excited about tomorrow. Would be nice to see how many boys and how many girls we get.....

MrsAVB · 08/08/2013 21:31

another I still have a tampon in my purse that is clearly visible every time I get money out. And I don't think it could have the same use in my bra (or even brain).
I'm sure I have had some weird dreams but don't remember most of them. Although there was a sexy kidnapping one early on...
X

AnotherStitchInTime · 08/08/2013 21:53

Grin I actually think a sanitary pad stuck in my brain might help me, I am so forgetful since having children.

kitteninmittens · 08/08/2013 22:00

I think I can feel the baby move! I was in the kitchen with dh and I felt a funny fluttery wiggly thing!
I thought it was wind at first! Is that how it's supposed to feel? I'm 17+3 is it too early?

Toothfairy78 · 08/08/2013 22:20

Hi everyone!
All this talk of leaky boobs has caused me to pick up a pack of breast pads on my evening walk today, just in case. I also find random tampons in my various handbags, among other things.

I 'm not sure if I'm getting movement yet, I got the odd very faint flutter quite low down and was woken last night for my usual 4am pee, feeling like someone was tap dancing on my bladder!

Oh, and Tesco have a 3 for 2 deal on pregnancy vits of various brands if you're wanting to stock up!

TarkaTheOtter · 08/08/2013 22:20

Sounds about right kitten

TarkaTheOtter · 08/08/2013 22:22

tooth with dd I realised I had been feeling movement for a while only once I started getting definite kicks. I didn't realise before that that the feelings were movement iyswim.

MrsRApilot · 08/08/2013 23:45

My word ladies you can talk! Made the mistake of not coming on for a while and there were pages lol. Had a quick read through and there seems to be a lot of funky dreams. Though MrsV made me laugh with the breastfeeding the monkey/cat.

love I too have leaky boobs, so yay Grin I no longer feel like a complete freak. I have had to use breastpads and find milk spots on the bedding in the morning.

sultana good luck for the scan tomorrow. I'm jealous - mine isn't until next Saturday.

frizz I too have noticed I have a fair bit of discharge. My apologies as this is far too much information but mine also smells slightly: not a particularly bad smell but a definite 'smell'.

Apologies for anyone I've missed out. Will have to start checking hourly at the rate everyones going or I'll not be able to keep up! :-)

BookTart · 09/08/2013 06:28

frizz I've had that couple of times as well. Obviously I convinced myself it was amniotic fluid, then an infection (which I got checked for), but actually I think it was just normal. Definitely call you mw for reassurance though.

I've been up since 2.30 with such bad hip pain that I can't sleep on either side. I know it is a normal thing, but it seems a bit early on! I can't sleep on my back because I get short of breath, so I'm going to splash out on a maternity pillow and maybe support belt thingy later on. Partner snored happily throughout, which made it even more annoying! Angry

MrsVDB · 09/08/2013 07:16

Good luck today sultana !!! I think it's a good idea to update stats thread. I think we only have a couple of boys so far

Mac2014 · 09/08/2013 07:45

I've not checked for a couple of weeks and we're nearly on thread 8. Good work ladies.

Was sposed to be on hols but DH's dad passes away suddenly so have been caught up in all things funereal.

Anyway thought I'd share something...
My normal beautician declined to wax me as I'm pg. apparently not something she does so I popped on down to boots & got some veet strips. Never having done it before, thought I'd start with my pits yesterday pm. I'm sat here with bags of frozen peas under my arms to numb the pain.
DO NOT WAX!! It bloody kills, googling would have helped on this occasion as that's why some beauticians won't help.

sultana good luck for today!

book are your hips hurting during the day too? I find sitting down for too long has me creaking around for a while.

I've been having random dreams too ... None of the animal sort, more being captured by horny pirates & (nicely) ravaged!

Mac2014 · 09/08/2013 07:51

Ooh if anyone is looking for low alcohol cider... The Waitrose 1% is lovely and only 0.5 units for a big bottle.

Might just be me finding schloer a bit dull!! Grin

BookTart · 09/08/2013 07:58

Sorry to hear about DH's dad Mac.

Low alcohol cider you say?

Hips and lower back can be a bit creaky in the day for me too. I have hyper mobile joints all over, so was expecting some hassle with this (just a bit later on!)

TobyLerone · 09/08/2013 08:04

Good luck, sultana!

Sorry to hear about your FIL, mac :(

Grrrrrr @ hip pain, Book

Sultanajo · 09/08/2013 08:19

Sorry about your FIL mac. Hope you are OK and your DH is coping. Sad

Thanks ladies for the good lucks! Cant believe scan day is actually here! Officially half way through today! Am feeling excited, nervous and teary, mainly because I got feck all sleep due to DHs snoring last night so ended up on the sofa! Ok, apparently feeling a bit ragey too apparently! Grin Angry Grin Angry

Will update later!!! Ekkkk!!!!
