Hehe, I?ve put on 21lb in total! Oh dear, that?s an awful lot ? I know there?s a good reason but it still seems pretty huge! I took some pictures in a Next changing room yesterday because I was so stunned and it isn?t just the scales that say the twins are making their presence known. froubylou - middle of the night snacks are the best! I had leftover lasagne at 3am the other night.

No need to feel guilty or worried itsliz - just lucky! Good for you. ?Also, severe headaches sound fairly nasty.

Welcome Dec1213

CryingGivesMeAHeadache · 29/08/2013 14:45

hetso don't worry about feeling massive. I feel huge too. There is a pic on my profile of me at 21 weeks I think it is. I am the size of a planet. i'm 24 weeks now so just imagine 3 weeks added to that and that's me. No idea how much i've put on because I refuse to weigh myself and get depressed about it. Nothing I can do about it so why get all worked up Grin

I have baked a delicious chocolate fudge cake which I am having to sit on my hands so I don't eat it before DP comes home and while I was in tescos I brought some balloons and banners to make the flat all birthdayfied. He is 23 today but I want to make this birthday fun and special as it's the last one where it will just be us two.

We're going to the PIL's this weekend down in weston super mare to sort through the masses of baby clothes/paraphernalia that MIL has collected for us. My MIL is lovely but she can be a bit overbearing if you know what I mean? She means well but it can get irritating.

Sorry to everyone who is feeling poorly again. I dread the return of morning sickness as it's horrible Sad Cake to you all who are suffering.

Right i'm off to drink lots of tea, blow up some balloons and wait for DP's best friend to get here to surprise him when he gets home from work. He hasn't seen him in over a year as he moved away to work.

itsliz · 29/08/2013 14:53

Oh how weird Crying, we're going to the PIL's this weekend too, which is just down the road from Weston Super Mare! Small world! Shock

Best of luck with the surprises for your DP - after the things he posted on here the other day it sounds like he deserves to have a nice birthday Grin

hetsto · 29/08/2013 15:02

Thanks Crying! Your bump looks lovely! There's a 24 weeks pic on mine too if you fancy a nose. Enjoy the cake and celebrations - sounds like you've got a lovely, thoughtful evening planned for him.

CryingGivesMeAHeadache · 29/08/2013 15:20

I have accidentally brought balloons that say birthday girl on them. oh dear. How did I not notice that?! I was sure I picked up the dinosaur ones...

Yeah I wanted to give him an awesome birthday because he's been so lovely with this pregnancy. It wasn't planned and he has sorted us out with a flat and has basically stopped me having a mental break down about it!

ooh itsliz small world isn't it? I like it down there, everyone talks funny Grin

CryingGivesMeAHeadache · 29/08/2013 15:22

also hetso your bump is adorable! You look like a 'proper' pregnant lady Grin

itsliz · 29/08/2013 16:23

Crying I'm originally from down that way but luckily managed to escape without an accent! My DP does sound a bit farmer-ish though, haha Grin

Stom91 · 29/08/2013 16:31

Feeling emotionally drained today!! Haven't stopped crying all morning. :(.. Been in so much pain with my back and joints.. Had no sleep last night as bump was very uncomfortable :(.. Seriously consider going off sick. I can't move it hurts so much... But I feel so useless and like I should be doing more.. I'm tryin to hard to be happy :(
Suspicion about mum have been confirmed :/

crying I'm sure he will see the funny side! ... Haha Oooh maybe it's a sign and your having a Lil girl!?

Was going to bake a huge cake to make me feel better but I've got no butter... Bummer lol
On a plus it's pay day tomoz!! Yay lol

kchapper5 · 29/08/2013 18:35

Hey again guys, hope everyones ok.
I've only put on 7lbs and i'm 22+3 i'm worried I need to put on more. So I've baked a lemon cake today to start :)
Also im off to my Aunty's in Dorset tomorrow, can't wait to see them :)
x

LadyMedea · 29/08/2013 18:57

Sorry to hear you are in such a poor way stom. If you are in too much pain you should not be working - that's what a fit note is for! get your doctor to also see what they can do about pain relief - might be worth investing in a tens machine for use now as well as in labour. Also if this is pregnancy related/made worse get your midwife or doctor to refer you for specialist physio.

Stom91 · 29/08/2013 19:09

Yeah I'm going to go docs tomorrow. I've come to the conclusion if im not happy then baby isn't happy and if I burn myself out now then I'll be useless for the end of pregnancy and labour...
I'm already with a physio. They got me in as soon as I found out I was pregnant due to having back and joint problems already... But it's not making any difference
. :(
Things can only get better as they say lol xx

PistachioTruffle · 29/08/2013 20:03

Crying, glad you're out of hospital and feeling better Grin Your DP seems like a sweetie, hope he has a lovely birthday!

lady, I giggled at your DH's comment, hope you're enjoying a well earned rest on said new sofa!

Stom, sorry you're feeling rubbishy, and about your suspicions Sad. Make sure you're looking after yourself.

Thankyou all for making me feel like less of a freak about the nightmares, I was really beginning to worry! Whatever I dreamed about last night wasn't memorable, so hopefully that's the nasty stuff done with for a while.

Cute bump pictures by the way! I haven't weighed myself recently, I shall do so in the morning and report back.
Has anyone seen Featherbag around? I hope she's ok, she hasn't popped up in a while.

DaleyBump · 30/08/2013 01:33

Hi everyone :) I've not been on this thread in ages, hope you all don't mind me jumping back in. It's half one in the morning and I've just stuffed my face with two bowls of cereal, two slices of toast, a plum and a pint of milk. Bloody midnight munchies. Will have to get a bump picture up tomorrow! I'll be 27 weeks on Saturday, can't believe how quickly it's gone in Shock

DaleyBump · 30/08/2013 01:33

Also, I think I saw feather on the pregnancy boards recently but I can't be sure.

CryingGivesMeAHeadache · 30/08/2013 07:47

morning all. DP had a wonderful birthday or so I could gather from his drunken ramblings at 4am. his friend is a bad influence on him and they both decided to go out for a 'quick birthday tipple' needless to say they are both dead to the world today. might make them breakfast and accidentally drop a couple of saucepans Grin I thought I saw feather on another thread in pregnancy too...

froubylou · 30/08/2013 08:46

Morning all

Hope you are feeling better Stom, get to the GP's if you need a sicknote hun. I worked all the way through last time I was pg in a very physical job and was exhausted by the time I had DD. Don't do it to yourself!

I was norty yesterday lol. Went for DD's uniform to the local out of town retail place and the big mothercare that was there has changed to a Mothercare Outlet! Whoop whoop. All clothing half price (had to buy a few little outfits) and all prams and big stuff at least 30% off, if not 50%. Loads of bargains to be had. Was a bit sking so managed to restrain myself to £20 worth of clothes but can see it getting a bit addictive in there! So if you still have big stuff left to buy google mothercare and see if you have an outlet close enough to get to. I think it will be a case of keep calling in to see what prams and stuff they have, but they had those really expensive Stoke ones at £600ish when they are knocking up a £1000 plus.

And loads of mothercare own brand stuff half price.

So bargains to be had!

ccsays · 30/08/2013 09:01

Morning all,

I'm away on a much needed week long meditation retreat today. Work has been abysmal, ended up sobbing in front of a collegue yesterday and I think if I hadn't been going on annual leave I would be going off sick with stress. Was on a sleepover shift last week where someone had to get sectioned after they stopped taking their medication for three days and started chucking heavy items out the window and then had a sleepover shift yesterday where my idiot collegue was an hour and a half late getting back with a service user on a time sensitive medication for a serious condition and her excuse was that 'they wanted to go to McDonald's' and that she'd given the medication to him later than that before and 'it had been fine' fucking moron, AAAAAAARGH. Hence me sobbing buckets yesterday. I've also decided to take mat leave pretty early, November 1st, with three weeks annual leave immediately before that, before I just lose my rag completely and punch someone.

Anyways, 24 weeks today, woo! I'll see you all in our fifth December thread I imagine!

Stom91 · 30/08/2013 10:48

Hey all.. Sorry to hear work is sucky Ccsays I know how you feel!

Went to gp and got signed off for 2 weeks... I rang my team leader as couldn't get hold of my manager and he had a huge go at me and was like we'll they will prob put u on mat leave now I said you can't 1 cos I'm only 24 weeks and 2 haven't even have my mat b1 for yet! And he wasn't having any of its... Balled my eyes out on the phone.... Then got hold of my manager and cried on the phone to him!! (embarrassing) lol..

So as it's pay day I'm off to get a bat of chocolate to make me feel better lol

Glad dp have a good day crying
X

abcdemma · 30/08/2013 11:00

Hi all, back connected to the internet after a long absence so will get to reading stuff I've missed soon. Hope everyone and their bumps are well :)
Only put on about 5lbs so far, which I was a bit worried about but MW said it's nothing to worry about as Archibald is the right size, ie. height of womb. Am 26+2 but I definitely don't look it....craving a nice shaped bump but my mum says I just look like I've had a good meal Envy
Apparently he's due to enter a growth spurt about now so shall see....

hetsto · 30/08/2013 11:05

Hehe, thank you Cryingand glad to hear your DP had a good time on his birthday!

Sorry to hear you?re having such a hard time Stom91, hopefully things will look up now you?ve been signed off. Enjoy the time to relax? and the choccie!

V jealous of all the holiday goers, have a brilliant time! I?m going to head off from work early today and have a wander in the sunshine before home ? it may not be a proper holiday but a slight extension to the weekend is still great!

Hi DaleyBump, it sounds like you?re on a similar eating mission to me ? today has seen a bowl of cereal, slice of toast, three figs, a banana and a slice of cake so far! Oh dear.

Thanks for the Mothercare tip Froubylou!

Sounds like your work is very stressful ccsays, enjoy the retreat and congratulations on 24 weeks! :)

CryingGivesMeAHeadache · 30/08/2013 12:52

Well I have managed to eat half of a large chicken and chorizo pizza, two slices of cheese on toast and a bowl of cereal and I am STILL hungry. I think baby crying is growing lots today. Does anyone want to send me some motivation to pack my things for the weekend away? We're leaving at half 4 and I still haven't even showered or got dressed.

Enjoy your retreat ccsays

MsCatShoes · 30/08/2013 13:31

I think you need your retreat ccsays!

crying if you pack now, you could reward yourself with a bath? I've made a deal with myself that if I can just get through this lesson planning I can have a packet of chocolate buttons and a cuppa tea IN the bath.

Just heard that cousin-in-law has popped her DS and they didn't pick the same name as we want for our little munchkin! Hurrah!

Stom91 · 30/08/2013 14:03

All you seem to be eating well! I've gone off food, maybe it's stress from work. But I'll make something take one bite and go off it... Made dinner last night took two mouthfuls and didn't want anymore... Made myself eat some cheese and biscuits but didn't really want them either :(

Enjoy your weekend away crying .. I could do with one lol x

CryingGivesMeAHeadache · 30/08/2013 14:12

still haven't packed anything or got out of my pyjamas. I have the most horrible headache though so i'll have to move soon to find painkillers. It's not like I have much to pack considering my total amount of clothes that fit me right now is about 5 things Grin

storm sorry you're feeling so rubbish. Just try and eat what you fancy as you will feel worse if you don't eat anything.

Stom91 · 30/08/2013 15:09

well i usually love a chicken curry, so going to make that tonight,

cant wait for DP to get home, after the day ive had, really need to give his skinny body a big hug lol.. (hes so thin i can wrap myself round him twice haha... he eats triple what i eat... unfair!! lol )

going back to dorset for the day on the 26th, cant wait to see my best friend, something to look forward too :D
