couldn't find one in the age group threads so thought it might be nice to have a 20-something's group - obviously anyone is welcome though!

my basic info is:
age 22
6w2d
edd 7th march
no dcs!

anyone else?

Gerty Sadly not, due to the HG, he is very small still. Need him to stay put as long as possible! We'll see!

It's no fun, poor kid has them everywhere - from her feet to her scalp!

Gerty1002 · 29/07/2013 15:15

Ah, in that case (and I mean this in the nicest way possible) I hope you suffer a little longer!

JodiLeighLeigh · 29/07/2013 18:51

Shock really hope these spots don't last until week 20! I already have vitiligo so really am not rocking the pizza faced look.

AmbaRoyle · 29/07/2013 19:45

Can I join?

I'm 24, 35+3 with EDD 30/08 and this is my first.

Pregnancy been relatively easy, nothing too out the ordinary, no weight gain (Bonus!) no morning sickness etc (except I am sat here wanting to cry as I've been sick and felt sick constantly for the last few days, was starving and thought that may be why I felt so sick, started to eat and just felt sicker with each bite :( already had this problem before and dr won't do jack!)

Been in hosp recently with abdo pain and no movement but everything was hunky dory. Apparently on target for a 10lb baby - argh! Not sure what measurement and centre stuff means but that's what the midwife explained.

Oh and I'm nervous and scared as hell!

RNJ3007 · 29/07/2013 21:30

Amba Another due date buddy! Hi!

Gerty1002 · 01/08/2013 19:13

How are you getting on RNJ, has baby stayed put?!

RNJ3007 · 01/08/2013 19:18

Hi Gerty - He's still in there! 8 days until in the 'safe' zone. Keeping everything crossed.

How are you doing?

Gerty1002 · 01/08/2013 19:44

Yeay, what a good little bubba :). Hope you're managing to eat well now?

I'm ok, been pretty uncomfortable the past few days with a lot of pressure low down and period type cramps. I think baby is trying to make a move southwards but is still lying transverse so can't get any further!

Positioning scan tomorrow so will hopefully see how the land lies - hoping he does a mighty flip during the night, as unlikely as that is.

Still have a feeling he can't possibly stay in here for another four weeks, at least not in this position! But we shall see!

RNJ3007 · 01/08/2013 21:20

Hahaha... What is this 'eating well' of which you speak? I threw up on a midwife today...

Poor you. Little man is head down, I'm still contracting on and off. Not fun. And my SPD is deteriorating. What fun!!

Hope he does flip for you; have you tried any of the spinningbabies techniques - I flipped DD using them after her being footling breech for months!!! Good luck for the scan!

Gerty1002 · 01/08/2013 23:57

I tried one but didn't like the feeling that my head was going to explode with all the blood rushing to it! Not sure if I was doing it right tbh.

Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time of it, sounds rather uncomfortable!

Gerty1002 · 02/08/2013 12:08

Update from my presentation scan today - it seems my useless midwife had it all wrong and baby has been head down all along! All that worry for nothing! Absolutely over the moon I still have a chance at my water birth :).

Also he's currently measuring 6lb2oz (50th percentile) and is DEFINITELY a boy! DP and I are on cloud 9 :)

ThedementedPenguin · 02/08/2013 12:33

Hey I want to join in.

I'm 23
Think I'm currently 4+6
Have 1 ds who is nearly 11 months.

Congrats to everyone so far and gerty I'm glad baby is head down. Shame first Mw got it wrong.

littleABI · 03/08/2013 22:33

Hello everyone! What a great thread. I am 23 and this is my first preg. Been married for just over 3 years.

Currently 7+3weeks with due date of March 21st. Going to see the MW on Thurs, hopefully feel confident enough to tell my parents, and DH's too :)

I just really want everything to go well for everyone on here Smile and well done gerty seems like everything is as it should be xx

Gerty1002 · 04/08/2013 09:18

Thanks and welcome ladies :).

Woke a few times with fairly mild backacke/period cramps, think the warm up has begun... hope it doesn't last another 6 weeks! 36+2 and getting impatient :)

ThedementedPenguin · 04/08/2013 09:46

Oh how exciting gerty I really do hope this is it for you and you don't have long left.

itsliz · 04/08/2013 16:47

Oooh, best of luck Gerty! Really hope this is it! You'll have to try and keep us updated Smile

Gerty1002 · 04/08/2013 18:06

Don't get too excited ladies (myself included), it's nothing major and have heard this stage can go on for quite a few weeks!

Don't worry, though, I will let you all know if anything progresses!

RNJ3007 · 04/08/2013 21:25

It's a race Gerty - which one of us will pop first?

I had WEEKS of prodromal labour with DD... Hoping this little one will be rather quicker.

Contractions galore. Plug gone. Body in clear out mode... Can but hope it'll be soon. But not til at least Friday, to be 37w and have dealt with Grandma's funeral and wake.

Gerty1002 · 05/08/2013 00:00

Oh I think we can safely assume you'll be winning this race! Sounds like things are really moving for you!

Sorry to hear about your grandma, hope LO waits a little longer so you can say your goodbyes.

RNJ3007 · 05/08/2013 08:47

Haha, you say that... I had labour stopped at 30&32w with my DD.

Had her at 40+3.

Dreading this being another epic.

And thanks. Just need to try and stay sort of together about it all. It's tough, but don't want to upset DD or risk a stress-eviction of the Mexican-wave baby.

Gerty1002 · 05/08/2013 10:56

Did you have pains etc through the whole 10 weeks?!

rachelmum16 · 05/08/2013 11:40

22
29+2 weeks
First DC1

Really excited and cant wait to be over and done with the birth!!!

itsliz · 05/08/2013 12:46

Oooh you're all making me so jealous - I've only just hit 19 weeks (and still have to wait another 2 weeks until I get to find out whether we're having a blue or a pink bean at the 20 week scan!)
Already counting down the days to when it all starts to happen and we finally get to meet our little one!

Is anyone else wishing the days away, or am I just being impatient?! Grin

Gerty1002 · 05/08/2013 13:01

I have wished the days away all the way through, and still am to some degree, but really trying to enjoy the last of my pregnancy as I have a feeling I'll miss it! Ofc having LO here will make up for it x1000 but these are my last child free days and I'm determined to make the most of them no matter how sleepless and uncomfortable I am :). (and not at all using reverse psychology to coax this baby out...)

RNJ3007 · 05/08/2013 19:42

Gerty No, they stopped between runs of preterm labour, but I had contractions more on than off from 33 weeks til delivery! Every 6-10 minutes for the last month. Grim times!

Currently contracting enough to feel uncomfortable every 7-9 mins... BP is getting more and more dodgy. Just got to make it through this week...
