Hello shiny new thread!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Silver15 · 22/07/2013 04:31

Posted early, Sunday I meant I'm in the 4am club.

Good day to you all and hope the outies are all enjoying their babies.

Innies hope we will have a cooler week. Last week was pure torture. I wonder how many are we still waiting. Surely we will have our babies on this thread. I'm worried we are almost half way.

Abzs · 22/07/2013 04:36

We're here too Sunday

dinkystinky · 22/07/2013 06:09

Bad night here too - j definitely has this stinking cold. He's finally asleep and am lying here listening to thunder roll outside

SlouchingPanda · 22/07/2013 07:29

I am delighted to announce the safe arrival of a baby boy, delivered by forceps on 21/7/13 at 2238. 9lb 6oz (and don't I know it!). Drunk with newborn baby love, absolutely bloody knackered after everything we went through to get him out! DH was a star, DS1(!!) a big overdue bundle of snuggliness.

More to follow later. Name may take some time!

Many congratulations Slouching! sounds like you've been through the wars. Enjoy him and go easy on yourself!

Silver15 · 22/07/2013 07:35

Abz and Dinky hope you managed to get some sleep. Sorry to hear J is not well.

Anyone getting a silver coin? The DOC is in labour.

Persuasion · 22/07/2013 07:36

Congratulations slouching! Glad you're finally getting your newborn snuggles after such a long labour.

Seems like last night was the night for unsettled babies. F was much less colicky after trying that advice suggested here, but I think she's having a growth spurt because she has just fed virtually continuously, the most we've gone is an hour and a half been feeds. I've given up and got up!

Silver15 · 22/07/2013 07:37

Congratulations Slouching.

Runswithsquirrels · 22/07/2013 07:43

Congratulations Slouching! X

shelley72 · 22/07/2013 07:43

Yay congratulations slouching! Glad the snuggly newborn-ness makes up for the hard work.

Think you may have missed the special royal coin though - Kate's in labour. So wonder who on here will get one?!

shelley72 · 22/07/2013 07:44

Runs - saw your other post on the bf thread. Did you manage to get out with your baby?

TotallyEggFlipped · 22/07/2013 07:55

Congratulations, Slouching!

twirliedobbit · 22/07/2013 07:59

Congrats slouching....really feeling left behind now with you and now Kate in labour. I wonder if I'll ever have this baby? Realisation that even when I go in on Wednesday it still could be a few days dawned yesterday and I just bawled (again) dh thinks I've gone loopy.

shelley72 · 22/07/2013 08:02

Yes twirled, you will. Babies don't stay in there forever. they will come when they're good and ready. Disclaimer - I was never overdue with any of mine but would happily be pregnant forever!

MrsRoss26 · 22/07/2013 08:20

Congratulations slouching what great news to wake up to today! All that hard work paid off! I hope you manage to choose name(s) without much difficulty Smile

Great news about the DOC, but I really hope for a positive outcome...all this attention makes me nervous for them.

I've been awol for a little while as have been admitted to hospital for monitoring for (apparently very) mild pre-eclampsia. 24hr urinalysis finished this morning, and I think I'll go for a s&s today. My poor Dh has been sleeping awfully, worrying about it all bless him.

Fingers crossed the cooler weather suits us all, and any thunderstorms help bring on labour for the rest of us innies!

wavesandsmiles · 22/07/2013 08:21

Congratulations slouching! I'm feeling fed up of still being pregnant too. As of tonight ill be the most pregnant I have ever been, as both my others appeared a bit early. It's not so fun. Sending labour vibes to all the other innes.

esme80 · 22/07/2013 08:22

Congrats slouching x

IcingTheCake · 22/07/2013 08:27

Congratulations slouching Grin

I feel bad for the DOC as well, they're doing regular updates on the bbc, as if they're going to tell us anything until baby is here - theyre not going to announce each time shes dilated more!

Going to spend as much time outside as possible today to try and see of this storm will break my waters Wink

MightBeMad · 22/07/2013 08:35

Opening all!! Congrats slouching!! hope you are recovering well after the delivery. Top tip from me if you had any significant degree of blood loss with the forceps - push for iron as it will help your body with the low process of replacing lost blood cells and help you feel less exhausted.

Good luck to doc! I'm another who doesn't envy all the attention they have to endure.

Grannyapple · 22/07/2013 08:38

Congrats slouching worth all that wailing in the end Grin

Yup I'm intending on lots of walking today....& stocking up on ingredients for making flapjacks with N while we are stuck indoors..

MightBeMad · 22/07/2013 08:41

Opening?!?!!! What kind of auto correct is that?! I meant 'morning all' Grin

Runswithsquirrels · 22/07/2013 08:42

Shelley we're venturing out tomorrow as we've got to sign a new contract for our flat. Everything I read makes me a little more confident and every day that passes I get a bit better at BF and the LO gets a bit quicker at feeding.

evelynj · 22/07/2013 08:49

Morning & congratulations slouching, wonderful stuff!

Sorry, forgot. To say happy birthday for yest thinking-hope you had fun, less of a celebration with a newborn though ;)

Bad night here too-up til 3.30 then brought baby in with us in snuggle nest-been up since 7.30 trying to get her to feed as she seems to struggle with latch in morn, ahh!

Media coverage on DOC is ridiculous-she deserves an easy time of it, like you say icing-they won't update how dilated she is!

Hope some of us get a coin-talk to those innies about making an appearance!

VinegarDrinker · 22/07/2013 08:50

Congratulations slouching!

PhieEl06 · 22/07/2013 09:31

Morning ladies, still pregnant boo!

Evelyn Aww that's actually quite nice to bury it but I don't think I could face taking it out of hospital! Ouch, hope your nipples feel better soon & F's bum improves today! Yeah I picked up what to expect & had a flick through & wow it seems very detailed but rather boring!

Hope J's cold improves soon & the Dinky household starts to feel better, sending hugs. Flowers

Congratulations Slouching, rest up & take things easy!

With you Icing on outside time, come on air pressure do something worthwhile!

To the DOC if you're thread lurking in your early stages, good luck! Would also love to be updated with your birth story.... Wink

Well it's my dads birthday too today so anytime now would be a great time for Moo to make an appearance! I however am extremely doubtful!
Hope everyone has a nice day & we have some babies born so they can get a royal coin! 40+2
