Lie = Your glowing vs Truth = Your sweating, freezing, puking and an emotional basket!

Lie = After the first trimester your ms will disappear vs The truth = It will be there in the second trimester and the third..... and probably after you give birth! Get used to it!

Lie = You don't look even look pregnant vs The truth = whatever, you look pregnant from space!

Lets see what we learn from the second trimester! Grin Wink

frog if you were to change hospitals, you have plenty of time to get scans, appointments etc at your new choice. I moved from liverpool to northern Ireland around 28 weeks and they simply took a copy of my Liverpool notes and did their own booking appointment and scans to complement the notes already provided. I presume it'd be easier if you stay within the same healthcare trust. Not to fret you have plenty of time. Smile

Apparentlychilled · 02/07/2013 11:00

Sorry, not been keeping up w this thread. Anyone else still utterly exhausted? I'm 10+ 4 and literally wiped out by the smallest thing.

LittlePeaPod · 02/07/2013 11:10

Apparently I am 13+5 and still exhausted. Even when not feeling sick...

Thanks all for the good luck wishes, I shall update later (scan at 2.40, have to do bloods after, then get back to work, don't have MN on phone).

Thanks MrsAVB, I didn't sleep too badly, managed to hang onto that grip just about Grin

pod thank you, that's very sweet.

frog OH FFS. I would have cried too. That's INSANE. Can you call the GPs and ask them to intervene? I am so cross for you. I would be calling the papers, frankly but I am a generally quite cross kind of person. I so hope you get it sorted.

choco Giant Winky Baby!!!!!!!!!! That has to be your new name!!

Toby I am also rooting for the evil receptionist to meet her comeuppance (this is all happening with Dallas style shoulderpads and biiiiiiiigg hair in my mind).
I am also getting headaches.

enormouse my dressing gown and ragey face are on standby - Christian rockers need to learn to PIPE DOWN, clearly.

nature I totally get where you're coming from. I can't help but dwell on others' sad losses, and worry I'll be next (hence my need for a grip yesterday/today). If my scan goes well today, would you like my grip lightly used, hardly any teethmarks Grin. I wish I'd gone for a private scan now. Only 3.5 hours to go. EEEEK.

MrsGSR · 02/07/2013 11:14

I'm 11+3 and still exhausted apparently!

I was told it was best to wait until after 14 weeks to dye hair and do it somewhere well ventilated. I'm going to do another skin test if I do dye my hair just incase my skin is more sensitive.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't sleep facing DH! His breath is like being in a sauna. Luckily we swapped places recently so he's on my right side as the mirror in the right side of the bed freaked me out after watching a horror movie...

Naturegirl82 · 02/07/2013 11:42

Thanks humpty good luck for the scan. I'll gladly accept your grip when you are finished with it Smile .

Apparentlychilled · 02/07/2013 11:54

Glad to know I'm not alone and I know all symptoms are good, esp when others have had such sad news but starting to feel quite down w tiredness/getting nothing done. However maybe I just need to get a grip.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 02/07/2013 11:57

apparently I am knackered - and it's only 11.57. I was knackered all day yesterday too. I was also feeling very nauseous this morning - it's not just you!

nature thanks and deal!

bugsyburge · 02/07/2013 12:26

bit late to the party but 'throwing up in my Burberry' has really made me chuckle Grin

bugsyburge · 02/07/2013 12:27

obviously that should be mulberry.... stupid phone

farmersdaughter · 02/07/2013 13:13

GAS GAS GAS I am a trapped wind machine. Poor DH..I am disguising. Blush

toby these stupid headaces are really starting to get me down. Fingers crossed I've not had one since I woke up this morning. Long weekend, which I think sent me over the edge. Can't believe you are still having all this trouble with the scan. What a nightmare

nature I also feel very unsettled as I haven't had my 12 week scan either. I'll slap you if you slap me Grin

I've dyed my hair...and my hair dresser knows I'm pregnant. Only half a head to get me through the summer.

Apparentlychilled · 02/07/2013 13:15

This will be DC3, and I dyed my hair with both (and early in this pregnancy). Both DC are fine, and no problems with this pregnancy so far.

How long after your booking in appointment did it take to get your scan date through? I had my booking in at 9 + 5, a week ago, and nothing yet. I'm now 10 + 4 and I want to know when my scan will be!

farmersdaughter · 02/07/2013 13:16

Humpty good luck...

apparently me too. Very tried and frankly today I've done nothing but clean the kitchen and drop DD at nursery. On sofa....blaaaa

MrsVDB · 02/07/2013 13:26

bugsy I've now got a brown paper bag in my handbag just in case!

Apparentlychilled · 02/07/2013 13:45

Sorry to hear everyone else is tired too, MrsGSR and Humpty. Farmer- I know, it seems to bear no relation to what I've done in a day. Today, I'd got DD up (DS had a lie in till 8.30) and I left for a meeting as he woke up (just enough time for a cuddle, but not enough to have to get stuck into breakfast etc), and by the time I got home from my meeting at 10.15am, I was utterly shattered and was in bed before 11am. Please let this pass soon!

MrABC · 02/07/2013 13:49

Hi all... Hope you don't mind a Mr infiltrating the thread.

Apparentlychilled We're 10+6 and still waiting to hear about the scan date. Can't get through to MW regardless of how many times we try and starting to get REALLY frustrated. Waiting to hear how Toby gets on today as we're at the same hospital and the booking system appears to be down.

farmersdaughter · 02/07/2013 13:52

MrABC keeps us posted. This is dreadful. What on earth is going on at your hospital. [shocking]

TobyLerone · 02/07/2013 14:16

Hi MrABC. Seems there are several of us at the same place :)

System is still down. They apparently have some sort of system going where they can see future appointments now, so Bitchface (who was nicer today) is going to call me back. She doesn't think there's anything this week, though. Apparently Monday is the soonest, which is probably too late.

Are you one of our Misters or a newbie entirely? :o

Apparentlychilled · 02/07/2013 14:35

Hi MrABC

MrABC · 02/07/2013 14:38

I'm a newbie entirely but myself and DW have been keeping up with the thread as it's a great relief to hear others in the same boat on so many topics from the scan issues to the MS and everything in between.

Thanks for the info, we've been contemplating calling the hospital direct as feeling like there is no other option. I understand they are having problems but surely things need to keep going. As we both work we need some notice to arrange the time off too and feel like the clock is ticking somewhat.

From hearing some of the other peeps on here is good to know that private is an option if it really gets that bad.

Apologies for appearing from nowhere and having such a rant! :)

Penny31 · 02/07/2013 14:38

I'm getting angry listening to the incompetancy some of you are having to put up with! I hope you get sorted soon.

Someone mentioned combined test results earlier or on previous threads. I was told if I was high risk I'd get a phone call within 3 days of scan, if not I'd get a letter within 2 weeks. My letter actually arrived a week later than the scan with low risk results.

I have so far experienced quite good service on the NHS and I'm furious that the difference in other areas so vast. Grrrrr.

MrABC · 02/07/2013 14:46

Apparently Wondering whereabouts you're based as I don't know is this is a completely local thing. I'm in east Kent.

Penny Thats great news :) Good to hear that some are at least getting the info and support needed from our hospitals etc. It sounds like the majority of ladies are which is good and hoping that this is just a blip in the system.

TobyLerone · 02/07/2013 14:51

Wrt this particular hospital, I've never had any other complaints with them, if it makes you feel any better!

Apparentlychilled · 02/07/2013 15:29

Im in West Yorkshire, and the midwife thought the hospital is usually pretty good at making sure they see people between 12 and 13 weeks, so am trying bit to panic.

BuffyFairyTopsTheTree · 02/07/2013 15:36

Hi everyone,

My scan is today at 4pm, eek Smile I'm excited and a little bit scared.

Bunt were you on the Oct 2011 threads? I'd be up for a Facebook group. Shall I PM my FB username?

Vatta and Bebsy I'm so sorry for your loss.

Tarka fx crossed for you.

Frying I've been worrying about folic acid too as I didn't find out until 7 weeks. The midwife said it's only an extra defence.

She also said they had people turning up on the delivery ward who'd had no antenatal care at all and their babies were fine. Can you imagine Shock

Toby and MrABC I'm shocked at your hospital. That's so rubbish. I hope you get it sorted soon. Frog too.

Enormouse I've taken my toddler to the booking in appt and bloods which was fine. One of the areas had a box of toys.

Chocco wow Grin how amazing to get such a clear scan.

We're not going to find out the sex. We didn't with DD. We can argue on baby names for longer Grin
