Lie = Your glowing vs Truth = Your sweating, freezing, puking and an emotional basket!

Lie = After the first trimester your ms will disappear vs The truth = It will be there in the second trimester and the third..... and probably after you give birth! Get used to it!

Lie = You don't look even look pregnant vs The truth = whatever, you look pregnant from space!

Lets see what we learn from the second trimester! Grin Wink

I'm here! Really struggling to keep up, and haven't really got much to say, so I'm reading along anyway in solidarity! I find it really hard to remember who's said what, and I'm usually on my phone, which doesn't help!

Thanks for missing me anyway, humpty :) There just aren't enough hours in the day lately!

Sultanajo · 16/07/2013 16:41

Omg mrsv! Thats just typical! I have managed to save enough to cover my bills, vet fees, MOT, car tax etc for my year off, but thats not gonna give us much of a buffer.... Just praying my car stays healthy as its getting on a bit!

Just bought ice lolly moulds and some fruit juice. Is it me or is it even hotter today??? Blush Blush

love I am the same - blocked for a day or so then all shoots out of me with a seconds warning! Thankfully every time apart from once I have been at home! Its only a matter of time though! The other time DH and I had just left on our way to a family function and stopped at the local shop and I made DH drive us back home like Jenson Button!,Blush Blush

Sultanajo · 16/07/2013 16:43

Glad you are OK Toby! Grin

Sultanajo · 16/07/2013 16:44

By the way Toby I bought some apple shampoo today - the apple obsession continues!,Grin

Also, thinking of everyone having a worrying time (especially keski and love) Flowers

TobyLerone · 16/07/2013 16:49

:o sultana

MrsGSR · 16/07/2013 18:12

Flowers to keski and love, fx that both your results come back fine

I'm also only able to eat a few mouthfuls at a time! Been snacking throughout the day. My mum told me once that she'd had a lump in her throat throughout both her pregnancies!

Penny31 · 16/07/2013 18:18

Lovelillies and Keksi I hope you get good results and your mind is put at rest ASAP. It must be very worrying. Are the results of the further tests you have had 100% conclusive?

My midwife app went well and she found the heartbeat straight away, it was amazing and awesome :)

3 weeks until my 20 week scan and I can't wait! I'm getting really excited now, I don't think I've let myself so far. It's really happening!

Penny31 · 16/07/2013 18:24

I don't seem to have a problem eating huge portions of food. I'm going to be huge! I'm trying to eat healthily but all I want to do is gorge on carbs!

BookTart · 16/07/2013 18:31

Lots of love and luck to keski and lovelillies for good test results :)

toby have you heard anything back from your 12 weeks test/scan yet? I haven't heard a thing yet - don't even have a date for the 16 week appointment and I'm 15 weeks today!

I am also struggling to eat. It came on very suddenly after dinner yesterday, and I was so uncomfortable all night that I hardly slept. Can't even think about eating dinner tonight, there just isn't anywhere to put it! Might try some soup or something later.

And hello *spacefrog!!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 16/07/2013 18:34

I keep meaning to say - HELLO to spacefrog! Bloody forgetful.

toby there you are! Good. As long as everyone is present and correct.

Teaching tonight - going to tell my class and tell them they have to write on the board to let me have a sit down (adult class, teaching hieroglyphs). Not that I will milk being pg at all Grin.

sarahleanne · 16/07/2013 18:50

anyone else had major headaches? ive had to take paracetomal for a week now, I took some today and they didn't even help.had to lay down after work, luckily dh is off work until September so he was home to look after the kids.

sorry to those who have worries, have my fingers crossed for you.what a worrying time.
I chose not to have the test done and now im wondering whether I should of.

had period pains today, think its normal though.

MrsGSR · 16/07/2013 19:39

I've hag some headaches, I think mainly due to the heat!

Those of you who are further along or already have dcs, what does it feel like when they kick? A silly question but I can't imagine it!

lovelilies · 16/07/2013 20:03

sarah they actually measure the NT on every 12 week /dating scan anyway and if it's above 3.5mm they would refer you, even if you'd chosen not to have the test (I was quite Shock when the midwife told us that, because I was wishing we hadn't had it done!)
So rest assured, if they didn't tell you it was high, it wasn't Grin

lovelilies · 16/07/2013 20:05

Penny the CVS and amino are 100% conclusive, so tomorrow afternoon we'll know what's what

lovelilies · 16/07/2013 20:05

amnio!

sarahleanne · 16/07/2013 20:26

that's really reassuring thankyou lovelilies x

Penny31 · 16/07/2013 20:27

Well you will know either way for sure and be able to make informed decisions. I'm keeping everything crossed for you and we will wait anxiously with you for your results! I'm just sorry anyone has to go through all this worry. No one prepares you for it when TTC!

sarahleanne · 16/07/2013 21:18

has anyone else looked at their scan print out and it says 'skull/brain not examined stomach not examined hands not examined heart not examined etc etc???

this is what it says on my 12 week scan, just wondered if this is normal?

MrsVDB · 16/07/2013 21:23

sarah my notes say most things were visible but I don't think it mentioned examined. She showed us the brain and you can see both sides, amazing. Had a quick read of my green notes and there's loads of mistakes. Including saying I've had a problem with anaesthetic ( which I haven't) and also a sti (again I haven't!)

TobyLerone · 16/07/2013 21:34

I haven't heard anything yet either, book. They were supposed to be sending out the proper scan report because with the system being down they weren't able to produce one. I've got my 16 week appointment next Tues so I'll see what my mw said.

sarahleanne · 16/07/2013 21:44

mrs vdb that's really bad that your notes are wrong. I never saw any of the brain etc, my scan was fairly rushed.nevermind :(

MrsVDB · 16/07/2013 21:51

sarah mine was pretty quick but baby didn't move much so I expect that makes it easier. Maybe they were checked but she didn't talk you through it?

sarahleanne · 16/07/2013 21:57

I think it was because I originally had a scan as I didn't know how far along I was.when she told me I was 10 weeks I asked if id have another scan at 12 weeks and she said no and seemed pretty uninterested.she even said to me 'that's about as exciting as it gets at a dating scan' .she didn't show me much, but I guess everythings all ok. I never really thought about it until I randomly started looking through my notes earlier.fingers crossed my 20 week scan is more exciting lol.

MrsGSR · 16/07/2013 22:21

I was given a leaflet about the 20 week scan which said they check the stomach etc then, I don't know if they're supposed to check at the 12 week scan as well. My notes say 'single live fetus' and the measurements, nothing else!
