Lie = Your glowing vs Truth = Your sweating, freezing, puking and an emotional basket!

Lie = After the first trimester your ms will disappear vs The truth = It will be there in the second trimester and the third..... and probably after you give birth! Get used to it!

Lie = You don't look even look pregnant vs The truth = whatever, you look pregnant from space!

Lets see what we learn from the second trimester! Grin Wink

sarah I am with central lancs and they have so far been excellent. Had to call to book my 20 week scan within 7 days of 12 week one so all booked for 23rd August.
The only issue I have is that the nhs number my midwife gave me is a digit different to the one that is printed on all my appointments etc so need them to check which is right and get it changed.

Good luck for all scans people. Feeling nice and nauseous today but still feel v bad for all those still vomming. Getting v annoyed with lazy people at work. I am exhausted and pg and doing 10 times more than them.
Oh well it's Friday and my parents are visiting for the weekend so Yay!

SarahJayne321 · 05/07/2013 13:39

sultana you just know he will turn up at 5:05!

Heavens toby I bet poor baby is thinking what on earth are these in my house!? Glad your DD is fine :)

frizz I've had a few bad experiences (although non pg related) with east lancs so pleasantly surprised. Central will be Preston Royal won't it?

TobyLerone · 05/07/2013 13:54

I know! And they're growing, which is a bit of a worry for later on. In lots of people they shrink during pregnancy. But the biggest one has grown more than 1cm in the last 4 weeks. So the baby had better be prepared to get more squashed, poor thing!

Sultanajo · 05/07/2013 13:57

sarahj exactly!

Toby glad your DD is ok! Poor squashed bubs being invaded by nasty fibroids! They clearly have no manners! Really hoping they dont grow any more....Angry

Haven't been on for a week now, and we're on to another thread! My scan and bloods didn't go well. Bob has a 1 in 5 chance of having downs. I was very reasured by the obs when i went to have a CVS done on Wednesday that it's common in women on my age to have dodgy eggs. They weren't able to do the test as the placenta is on the back wall and because to be removed from my house I have to have a wall removed and craned out he didn't feel confident in doing the test. So I have to wait until next Wednesday. Not in a happy place.

So for your lies and truths about pregnancy:

lie - the obs doctors will make you feel calm vs Truth - You will come out of any appointment with obs feeling like Jabba the Huts big sister.

Lie - You should be glowing and radiating vs Truth - The only reason you're glowing is because you are still retching and balling your eyes out.

TobyLerone · 05/07/2013 15:09

Oh, Keski :( What will they do next Wednesday?

Sultanajo · 05/07/2013 15:38

keski so sorry you are having such a worrying time and now you have to wait until Wednesday! If u need to talk we are here to listen. Thanks

fryingpantoface · 05/07/2013 15:57

Hey everyone!

The Drs went well, he gave me anti sickness tablets, which is lovely. Then the scan was lovely. The baby was rolling around, then it sat up. It was lovely to see. my NT result was 1.3 which seems quite low?

TobyLerone · 05/07/2013 16:13

That does seem low, frying :) Glad you've had a successful day!

Are we all on tenterhooks waiting for a phone call about our blood results? I know I am.

BookTart · 05/07/2013 17:17

Oh keski that must be scary. I hope Wednesday goes okay.

Yep, waiting for blood test and swab results here. The swab was very painful, and I've started spotting and cramping this afternoon so I'm a bit worried. Why the nurse felt the need to do a swab inside my cervix for calamity a without asking is beyond me, but I really wish she hadn't now :(

BookTart · 05/07/2013 17:17

Calamity = chlamydia!

TobyLerone · 05/07/2013 17:25

Book :( She's probably just irritated your cervix a bit. Hopefully it'll all settle down very quickly. Bit odd that she didn't ask, though.

Frizz1986 · 05/07/2013 18:09

sarah yea Preston royal. Might go to chorley midwife unit if i am brave enough tho!

book def sounds like she could have irritated your cervix and it can bleed rather easily these days.

keski sorry you have had a rough time of it. Hope wednesday is ok.

I am off to get a chippy tea and enjoy some tennis then its time to clean befoee the parents visit tomorrow.
Prob catch up with everyone on monday.
Have a fab weekend guys

MrsGSR · 05/07/2013 19:06

I'm lurking at the moment, I can't remember whats been said or concentrate on anything! My DH is on his way, we've been apart for 2 weeks, which is nothing for us as he's away a lot (stupid army) but I'm crazy hormonal and time has stopped!

MrABC · 05/07/2013 19:21

Wow, that's a lot of chatting the last few days! Grin

Congrats to all those with good scans and fx for anyone still waiting for tests etc.

Still waiting for scan date here and fast approaching 12 weeks. Been told it's being followed up so should know more v.soon. Still lots of MS so hoping that calms down in the next week or so. Sounds like it'll be a bit hit or miss as to whether it actually will! Hmm

How's everyone doing with avoiding certain foods? Every time DW and I go out for dinner she finds half the menu is off limits and lots of what's left induces gagging just thinking about it.

BuntCadger · 05/07/2013 20:02

Kes - sorry you are having a worry time, on flip side there is an 80% chance of everything being completely fine. Hope everything on Wednesday goes ok and we are here for you to offload xx

Hoping to go to beach tomorrow but I feel like a right fattie, all muffin belly. I have baby bump there too but it's at the 'is she a cake fanatic or is she preg?' Stage

Ds2 landed full weight on his knees onto bump last night. Scared me but I guess they're very protected in there.

extracrunchy · 05/07/2013 21:13

Bunt - my DS keeps doing that to me. I'll be surprised it baby doesn't come out a funny shape.

Keski scary for you with DS test. Hope it's all clear at the next stage, there's a very good chance it will be. If it is bad news though it might help you to know I have a sister with DS who is absolutely WONDERFUL. She's sparky and funny and kind and beautiful and I honestly wouldn't have her any other way.

SarahJayne321 · 05/07/2013 23:16

Oh frizz that's a lot like my choice, Blackburn birth centre or Burnley!

Keski I hope all goes well for you on Weds xx

mrsgsr I bet you're so glad to have him back Grin

mrabc I've been terrible with foods, and drinks come to think of it. Especially eating out, which I think is due to the smell of everyone's food!! Feel for your poor DW, hope she feels better soon, how far is she?

bunt that's me all over, when I look down at it I see bump, but in the mirror I see too much cheese!! Not to worry thiugh, I think I've hit the grand stage of not giving a shit.

Naturegirl82 · 06/07/2013 07:04

keski hope Wednesday goes well.

Another weekend where I have woken up early when I can have a lie in. Sad

Is anyone else having problems with their sinuses? I don't think it's hayfever as that usually causes my eyes to water as well. Sinuses feel constantly stuffy and I have been getting a pain behind my eyes as well.

TobyLerone · 06/07/2013 07:11

I'm up early too :(

My sinuses are bad, but I'm sure it's hayfever. Pollen's been through the roof lately.

How are you this morning, book?

MrsVDB · 06/07/2013 07:53

My pregnancy app says that is pregnancy rhinitis :)

SarahJayne321 · 06/07/2013 08:01

I've been a bit sniffy and sneezy but nothing that's really bothered me

fryingpantoface · 06/07/2013 08:18

My nose is stuffy and running. Pretty sure I've got a cold, my eyes are streaming too :(

Sultanajo · 06/07/2013 08:52

nature I too have been up since the crack, after peeing about 100 times throughout the night and I just feel fat, uncomfortable and unbelievably grumpy today! We have some of DHs friends over for dinner tonight and I am sooo not in the mood. Plus am on call until tomorrow and have already been paged once! Oh the RAGE!!! I had better not leave the house today......Wink

Yeah my nose is much more stuffy than usual - has been for the last 6 weeks. Partly hayfever, but partly preggers related.... Its not causing me sinus pain though

Naturegirl82 · 06/07/2013 09:00

Thanks everyone, I'll speak to mw about it but doubt there is anything that can be done about it.

mrsvdb which pregnancy app are you using? mine is pretty useless!

Well I've been productive this morning and sorted out my clothes for holiday. Smile Not a bad job, and now I get to go shopping and get a few extra bits. Grin

I hope the day picks up for you sultanajo. My dh is away, I've done all my housework so the weekend is mine to fill as I please. I feel a trip to the wool shop coming in! I really know how to live it up!
