Hello everyone,
Just wanted so say hi and introduce myself Smile.Roughly due 20/2/14. Been feeling very sickly all week (had a sickness bug last weekend), sore (large) boobs and very bloated! So that's where I am lol! Definitely got a little podge that I didn't have until about 20 weeks with DS!
8+2 today. Smile

EeyoreIsh · 12/07/2013 22:48

welcome Jayney

I must be getting better. I managed to cook dinner for the first time in weeks, and even ate two spoons worth. I can't remember the last time I ate dinner! There is light at the end of the tunnel Grin

sunflowered · 12/07/2013 22:54

Jeeeez you guys, thanks for the pep talk. Husband is getting bored of my lamenting, as am I.

I'm 10+6, midwife on Sunday and scan on the 23rd. Do we think if I wail and thrash around on the floor she will feel sorry for me and just say 'oh f*ck it, fancy a scan?'. Might try it just incase.

I'm just being a spoilt brat and wanting to know NOW. X

Woo, managed to talk the hospital into booking my scan with me over the phone rather than just sending an appointment so I will def get dating and NT. I was worried as I am away from 11 to 13+2 so I only had a four day window. They were really helpful and sweet about it.
I had been dreading missing the time for an nt. so glad I persisted to get through. Scan on 1/8.

It seems a lot if our M S sufferers are slowly proving. Good luck ladies. I hope it is finally leaving you alone.

10+3

misskatamari · 13/07/2013 05:37

Awww bear sorry you're not well - I hope it clears up soon!

Welcome Janey!

Thisis - glad you managed to get your scan sorted out that's excellent news Smile

Eeyore glad you're starting to feel a bit better. It's amazing when you can manage food again!

I'm up and about at 5am and been awake since 4 but luckily managed to sleep quite well until then. Bloody knackered but just can't sleep! I did just have some wholemeal toast for breakfast tho - maybe the evil white carb cravings are finally abating fingers crossed! Probably go back to bed in a bit and pass out for more sleeping - body clock is so rubbish at the moment!

barebranches · 13/07/2013 06:09

thanks for all the get well wishes. im feeling bettr after having to rip my eyes open.... (sorry if tmi)
does anyone know if the pharmasist will give me drops whilst pregnant?

so annoying... i always get conjunctivitis when im run down... a week before my wedding last time was not a good look.

hi to all the newbies!! hope all scans coming up go well! i have my booking in on thursday which is well timed because we have a mini fake ofsted at school that day. Grin

vix206 · 13/07/2013 06:34

Sorry you're poorly bear. Not sure about the drops but my dr and pharmacist has always said cool boiled salted water is every bit as good and not to bother with drops. Just dab it on gently with a cotton wool pad as many times per day as you can.

Another miracle cure is water with a drop of baby shampoo mixed in. I'm not mucking about, I use that for DS and it works wonders Grin

barebranches · 13/07/2013 06:37

ohh thanks vix really didnt want the drops as they taste discusting.
(yes taste!... didnt realise my eyes and mouth were connected until I had the drops! )

Thingymajigs · 13/07/2013 07:03

Aww bear, that's rubbish. And on a lovely weekend too. Hope it clears up soon. Oddly I've also woken up with sticky eyes. Not sure if its my contact lenses (likely), hayfever, a cold or conjunctivitis.
Woke up (at 5am) after a very vivid dream involving a random car chase sequence where I gave birth to a baby boy in the back seat. I say baby but he was huge, I could barely carry him. We called him a name beginning with J but I woke up before we'd decided. So, imagining that is an accurate prediction I could be having a third boy! Smile And that I never manage to convince DP that Caspar is a very cool name afterall.
10+1

Outch Hafling that's tough!

CubanoHabana · 13/07/2013 09:49

Really bare on Thursday? Do you not break up on Friday? We had actual ofsted in just before half term and head is going nutty about improving things, last minute work trawls and the like! Dreading telling her I'm pregnant!

gnittinggnome · 13/07/2013 09:59

champagne that's what I was expecting to pay, but my letter says copies of scan pics are 1.50 each! I think I'll need about 12 of them ;-)

tiny yes yes yes to the dry mouth thing. I wake up feeling as though I've smoked 20 cigarettes and downed a bucket of wine (gave up smoking years ago, no more than a mouthful of vino passes my lips atm) and am keeping a full bottle of water by the bed for when I wake up with sock-mouth. Also a lot more phlegmy first thing, which revolts my poor DH.

Interesting about the maternal date thing - my sisters and I were all two weeks early, so it will be interesting to see if that holds true.

barebranches · 13/07/2013 10:27

yup thursday but we break up the following wednesday. i know so silly. we cant take displays down or anything till friday. so glad i wont be there!!! Grin

I'm in the South too, SE London, getting the scan at King's College Hospital - maybe I'm reading it wrong?!

misskatamari · 13/07/2013 10:34

Champagne my me said to book in 16 week app too. I think she said after 12 week scan as they will date the pregnancy then but I don't know if that would really make a difference anyway

misskatamari · 13/07/2013 10:38

Bear that's a right pain about fake OFSTED! Why do they always think end of term is a good idea for stuff like that!

Champagne sorry you're still feeling so awful. You got meds from the docs didn't you? Do they help at all? Fingers crossed you feel better soon for your anniversary! Ours is in two weeks too and I'm determined to be able to put on some make up and go for a nice meal!
