Lol, certainly isn't Champagne and all I want to do is say 'i'm pregnant you know!' Grin

EeyoreIsh · 03/07/2013 14:55

gosh, I'm so glad to hear others are having yellow cm too! It's weird!

I feel terribly tired today, but only a little sick. I'm supposed to be working from home but I didn't/couldn't work at all yesterday afternoon and went back to bed this morning! I'm hoping to go into work tmw as I'm feeling a little behind everything.

I'm with all of you feeling sick at work. This morning I didn't feel quite as grim as recent mornings - managed to get DS to nursery and get myself to work, but to be honest as soon as I got here, I've felt really nauseous and just been lurching from one snack to the next, with varying success. I sit near the canteen and the greasy smell of chips at lunchtime nearly had me vomming at my desk. I just can't work out what I can stomach today and have that grim metallic taste in my mouth all the time. I just want to close my eyes and fast forward to 12 weeks so I can get the reassurance of the scan and be able to tell people. At least then, once it's out in the open, I can be off sick or work from home when I need to, safe in the knowledge that nobody can gossip or complain because I'll have a legit reason (and they can't touch you when you're preggers!) I'm still only 6+4 so it's a long way off!

tinypolkadot · 03/07/2013 15:29

I'm with you there lovestobake 12 weeks can't come soon enough. I've felt like telling all today it's been so bad, but will grit my teeth and carry on.

I keep thinking that surely it's obvious, barely a minute goes by when I'm not shoveling something into my mouth!

Champagne not sure if I'm jealous of your Jeremy Kyle watching or not!

I can't focus on much at work, but I suppose it keeps me a little distracted, sometimes.....

Hello everyone
Newbie joining in ? I am 7+3 with my second DC, excited but nervous at the same time. Have told everyone in the family except work (dreading that one).
Having just joined in ? will take some time to get to know everyone but hi and congratulations to everyone and feel sorry for the ones who are going to sickness, including myself 

Just a quick question ? has anyone of you had dry cough as it?s the last two days I am constantly coughing and hay fever doesn?t help it?s terrible and I can?t even take any tablets.

S2012 · 03/07/2013 15:55

tinypolkadot · 03/07/2013 16:00

Grin champagne

Welcome S2012 and congratulations!

I have a question - has anyone dyed their hair yet? Or have any intention of doing so? My roots needed doing when I got my bfp, and now they are extreme and I have a wedding to go to in 10 days!

I had an appointment booked at the hairdresser for next week for an all over colour, but don?t think it?s likely I?ll be getting the colour now.

Are hats back in fashion yet? Hmm

EeyoreIsh · 03/07/2013 16:03

I had my hair highlighted right at the start. Apparently it's safe, but I'm not sure I'll get my roots redone before a wedding when I'll be 13 weeks.

Ruggle · 03/07/2013 16:23

Does anyone else have symptoms that come and go? My boobs have been incredibly sore for the past 4 weeks, but this morning when I woke up they weren't, and I didn't feel my usual morning nausea. Nothing at all really, until I was in the middle of a meeting at work and had to run out to the nearest toilet to throw up. I've only actually thrown up once since becoming pregnant, and then today....but there wasn't much of a warning. I can't complain though. Sounds like some of you have it a lot worse than I do!

Ruggle · 03/07/2013 16:29

Oh, and is anyone else NOT taking multivitamins? I was overdosing on fortified cornflakes and I was getting the vile metallic taste in my mouth. Since not eating them it has gone. I have never taken multivitamins in my life and have never been deficient in anything (and I'm a vegetarian)....but i don't want to start taking them now unless I am deficient. I had a blood test today so we shall see...
I eat fruit/veg/salad/cheese/eggs till they're coming out of my ears so I'm not worried about it. I used to eat lentils, but these days I'm having a complete aversion....Just the thought makes me want to vomit!
I know the nurse/midwife will give me a slap on the wrist, but I've done plenty of research and I don't think I need to take anything unless it is actually lacking in my diet.

lumpylumps · 03/07/2013 16:31

crikey, this thread moves fast!!! soooo! tired right now and I've done the fatal thing of sitting down!
I still keep thinking its a mistake too! Got another pregnancy test in my pocket so I might just have to do that!
Tinypolkadot I have a hairdresser friend who I asked about hair dye etc. I'm sure it was something to do with the colour not taking properly or not turning out as it should. There's no reason why you can't, I'd just ask your hairdressers opinion. or, if its someone you don't want to know you're pregnant, ring a random hairdresser and ask!

Would anyone mind if I made a suggestion?? At the end of our posts could we put how far we are?? I know we're all around the same but we did it on my old thread and it was quite nice!

8+4 (like that!)

Sassy20 · 03/07/2013 16:36

Tiny - I dyed my hair throughout my last pregnancy and dd is absolutely fine. Smile
