bugsyburge · 03/07/2013 11:50

hi ladies, not had chance to catch up on the thread yet- thought I'd post first. I had my mw appt yday, is was very brief and form filling for my scan referral... I have a more detailed one on Thursday morning at my house.... she said it would be about 90mins & less rushed.....

Hope it's just a false alarm 212, thinking of you.

Bearfrills · 03/07/2013 12:16

Northumberland, bugsyburge, miles away from Solihull :)

vix206 · 03/07/2013 12:19

Thinking of you 212, let us know how you get on.

misskatamari · 03/07/2013 12:24

I hope your scan today goes well 212 and that everything is okay. Thinking of you x

Shropshiremummy2b · 03/07/2013 12:35

Oh 212 you poor munchkin! Sendin muchos positive vibes.

bugsyburge wish I lived in Solihull, just for the John Lewis!

Champagne why did they suspect? Were you bleeding?

I'm so convinced this is all too good to be true, I barely feel pregnant. I'm just praying i'm one of the lucky ones. I always wanted to be one of those people who gets tummy ache, goes to the loo and out comes a baby (a bit like Sonya on Eastenders back in the day), atleast if I didnt know I was pregnant then I wouldnt have had to spend 8 weeks of my life petrified theres nothing in there.

bugsyburge · 03/07/2013 12:40

hope all is ok 212

shropshire I know how you feel! Keep sticking my tummy out in the vain hope of seeing a small bump (rather than flab)... I'm 6+4 today so I guess it's very early and the dreaded sickness still has time to strike yet.

Did any of you take your DP/DH to your midwife booking in appt? My letter says that I might want to (but didn't state it was compulsory). DH is very excited and has sorted it out with his work so he can come along with me but will we look like loony first time parents?!

EeyoreIsh · 03/07/2013 13:11

jazz I took my DH. They asked lots of questions about both of us so it was fine really.

vix206 · 03/07/2013 13:15

I took DH to my booking in last time round because I was bleeding and scared. With this pregnancy I went by myself because I wasn't worried about anything. It's fine either way.

laura0007 · 03/07/2013 13:18

Hope all goes well 212

I'm feeling so fat and bloated today. Not helped I'm sure by my morning trip to Sainsbos, where instead of a weekly healthy shop, I've come away with white bread, bagels, pasta, cous cous, sparkling water and chocolate. And not much else! Going to be the size of an elephant by Feb!

misskatamari · 03/07/2013 14:05

It is hard having to wait at this stage hoping that everything is going okay. I've booked in for an early scan next tues just because I want to double check things. I think being off work feeling so rough gives me a bit of time to worry so even though its £95 if it puts my mind at rest it's worth it.
Hopefully anyway! x

Thinking of you 212 and hoping it's a false alarm...

Champagne and misskatamari I am so torn over paying for an early scan. I desperately want some reassurance and am willing to pay for it, and yet I know that an early scan is a guarantee of nothing, as I have had 2 miscarriages after seeing a heartbeat on a scan, so in my case it might just get my hopes up only to dash them later. :-(

I feel so sick today - not been sick yet but constantly queasy. Bought some of those acupressure bands and they are soooo uncomfortable! The straps are made of the most horrible scratchy nylon/velcro and I had to take them off after a couple of hours as they were driving me insane.

Re: booking in appointment. I won't take DH with me. He has to take enough time off work next week due to me swanning off to London from Tues-Sat to catch up with my mum, leaving DH to deal with all the school runs, last week of term insanity etc... Grin I just hope I feel well enough to sit through the shows I've booked to see. Confused

Thingymajigs · 03/07/2013 14:34

champagne, my cm is yellow too. It has been since I fell pregnant and it happened straight away. I assumed it was normal in some women. I have been told I have a few cysts and a hematoma so I should expect blood but I've had nothing but yellow or clear cm.

tinypolkadot · 03/07/2013 14:45

Oh dear ? I?ve been really suffering at work today, and am feeling disgustingly bloated and sickly.

On my way back from getting a lemon and ginger cup of tea (we?ll see if that works) I could feel the need to release a bit of gas ? checked no one was around, tried to let a silent one out and it sounded like a shot gun going off! Just as someone walked around the corner of the building Blush

Oops!

sunflowered · 03/07/2013 14:47
