hello everyone!

Today has been a good day. I managed some cheerios (still had to share with DS) and went to church. Got back at 3 hoping for a nap, but ds had other plans so we've just watched Ice Age. DH will be home soon and we'll eat. As it stands at the moment I feel sick, but then, I've not had anything to eat since 9am so it's just a regular "feeling sick" sick. Which is brilliant! I can't tell you how happy I am to feel this way.

Sultanajo · 30/06/2013 17:03

Lol! You lot have cheered me right up! Had a 5 hour drive to get to my hotel, busting for a pee of course and it took me a further 1.5 hours to then actually find it as the cuntpuffin sat nav kept taking me round it circles. I was almost resigned to sleeping in my car! Grin

Now just trying to psych myself up for a swim, followed by sitting like billy no mates in the bar trying to force some food in! Wink

MrsGSR · 30/06/2013 17:09

I've read everything but can't remember much!

I love breaststroke, I'm hoping it will be ok!

The lady few days I've had a really bitter taste in my mouth, I ate some magic stars yesterday and all I could taste was coco powder. Mac and cheese treated like poison. I'm hoping this doesn't last long!

enormouse · 30/06/2013 17:33

Errm?let's see. This weekend can be summed up by the text my DP sent to his friends. "The hormones seemed to have subsided, but they've been replaced by a manic desire to cook and clean everything". Maybe the hormones will stage a return and I'll poison his pizza for sending that to people.

I came to, left the sofa/bed and sorted out the tip my house had become and batch cooked a few meals. Both DS and DP are very happy about this. Now am making homemade pizza whilst DS has an early bath.

Frizz1986 · 30/06/2013 17:49

Just had the most satifying tea ever. Made some spaetzle (its a german dumpling type pasta thing - my grandad was Swiss) with a cheesey bechamel sauce and it was immense. So stodgy and carby that it seems to have settled the sicky belly I have had for most of the day.
Roll on 8:30 tomorrow for my scan (am mega worried i will get delayed in traffic and be late or not be able to find the unit as never been to Preston hospital before)

extracrunchy · 30/06/2013 17:59

..............
Um things to say... I need to start exercising because I'm determined not to put as much weight on as last pregnancy but had 2 cream teas today. Ahem.

Sultanajo · 30/06/2013 18:11

Oh frizz that sounds yum! Good luck for the scan tomorrow.

Well braved it and went for a swim - really pleased I did, but the pool was full of loved up couples snogging....and me! Grin I could feel the rage and was very tempted to splash them! Grin

It was boiling hot in there and I now have a beetroot red face, which is great as I head down to dinner on my todd.... Wink

I too have read the no breaststroke thing, but gonna have to build my fitness back up before I tackle front crawl....Grin

extracrunchy · 30/06/2013 18:22

I hadn't heard the breaststroke thing but imagine it's probably to do with pelvic joint/hip pain..? You're advised to avoid opening your legs wide if you have joint pain, so makes sense.

TobyLerone · 30/06/2013 18:23

Good luck tomorrow, frizz. Just don't miss it, whatever you do! :o

MrsRApilot · 30/06/2013 18:25

Well ladies today I managed a shopping trip in town (with difficulty it must be noted). It was my intention to buy some maternity jeans as I'm currently employing the old elastic band trick on my regular jeans. However I came out with nothing as the only shop that actually had any maternity clothes was mamas and papas and I couldn't get a pair to fit. I am a 12 usually in clothes but the one pair of size 8's in M&P were too big. My friend gave me a pair of Gap mat jeans and they are also too big and a size 10! Has anyone else found that mat trousers are sized quite large, as I am most definitely not a size 8? Can you recommend places to buy mat clothes as my choices currently appear quite limited?

pod and nature you're putting me to shame with all your exercising

mad my boobs gradually have got less painful as time has passed. Still a bit tender but nothing compared to how awful they were at the start.

Frizz1986 · 30/06/2013 18:28

Thanks guys. I will of course update tomorrow whatever the news may be.

enormouse · 30/06/2013 18:29

Mmmm?cheese sauce (homer Simpson voice).
I would have splashed them sultanajo. Can't they go snog elsewhere??
frizz good luck for tomorrow. I have my booking appointment tomorrow so I'm a mix of worried and excited to see the lovely midwives from when I was there with DS.

Frizz1986 · 30/06/2013 18:31

Don't worry mrsr i haven't done any exercise at all either (hangs head in shame)

MrsRApilot · 30/06/2013 18:31

Good luck frizz and anyone else having scans/appointments tomorrow

extracrunchy · 30/06/2013 18:31

Sultanajo · 30/06/2013 18:41

sarahleanne · 30/06/2013 18:44

Hope tarka is ok, although I havnt had a chance to read back after being away for the wknd. So whatever it is I hope it's not serious...

TarkaTheOtter · 30/06/2013 18:50

Thank you for all the lovely messages. Bleeding has pretty much stopped and I am out of hospital. They've told me to not jake the 2hr journey home today so staying at my mums. Trying to figure out how to rest for a week with a 16month old. Think dh will have to take unpaid parental leave.
They still don't know what caused the bleeding so said not to be overly worried but at the same time they can't guarantee it's not the start of a miscarriage Sad

extracrunchy · 30/06/2013 18:54

Hi Tarka

That sounds pretty positive then - might just be nothing. Fingers firmly crossed for you and hope you can get some rest.

Thanks
