For the ladies looking for swimwear.

Frogcatcher · 30/06/2013 11:33

I got a tankini from Figleaves in the sale. It's not a maternity one although they do those too but I didn't think I'd fill the ruching yet. Mine is kind of sporty style with boob support too.

Linen trousers with a drawstring waist today. So comfy. Think i might have to get some more (think they're Primarni a few years back Blush & live in them all summer. That is all ladies.

LittlePeaPod · 30/06/2013 12:02

Frog I have seen some nice things on Fifleaves too.

I hope you get some good news today tarka. Thanks

I'm feeling quite chuffed with myself. Despite a crappy nights sleep (partly my fault for napping 5-8pm last night!) and my wisdom tooth flaring up I finally managed to put my running trainers on and go out for a run. Hard work after having not run for a while because of an injury but I managed to do a couple of gentle miles. Building up slowly so I don't reinjure myself but it was so nice to be out there with just myself and my music again. 11 weeks today so hoping it helps my energy levels increase again. Smile Now just waiting for my bil and sil to come round so I can eat the tasty roast Dh is cooking.

Well done on the swim pod. I've found the swimming I've been doing has been making me feel loads better. I've been doing breaststroke as well but read something the other day that said it isn't great when pg as it can increase back problems! Confused

Penny31 · 30/06/2013 12:28

I read somewhere that you shouldn't do breast stroke with your legs because of potential hip problems? I'm not so good at front crawl though...has anyone else heard this?

LittlePeaPod · 30/06/2013 12:34

Thanks Penny and Nature. Not herd tat on breast stroke but will look into it and speak to instructor when I get back. I wonder if the advice changes depending on size of bump?

Glad you enjoyed your run Nature..

Penny31 · 30/06/2013 12:37

I'd be interested to know because I much prefer breast stroke.

TobyLerone · 30/06/2013 12:44

Breast stroke gives me backache at the best of times. I'm probably doing it wrong.

LittlePeaPod · 30/06/2013 12:53

Will update when I ge back... Smile

Frogcatcher · 30/06/2013 12:57

I think breaststroke can be bad for the back if done in an upright position I.e. so as to keep your head out of the water. Goggles on & get your hair wet I'm afraid ladies! I've never heard that about the hips before though. Aqua aerobics is good I found though i did tell instructor & she is going to modify some exercises later. there are special aqua natal classes near me too.

Frizz1986 · 30/06/2013 13:36

I have emailed somewhere about an aquanatal class that they do in the evenings. My local council run pools do them during the day which is useless! Am hoping that this private pool wont be too expensive and i can get some excercise in the pool.

LittlePeaPod · 30/06/2013 14:04

Before you all tell me off Grin... Particularly Chocco Wink, sorry!

I know i am banned from setting these up before 950 comments because i get a bit keen!! Grin But, I couldnt help it! I am sat here on my penguin butt and got bored so set up next bread.... Grin Yeeeaaaaa.

Check yourselves in ladies but as usual we have to finish his thread before starting on next one.....

Madratlady · 30/06/2013 14:57

I was wondering about going swimming, I I was disappointed to see that none of my 3 local pools do aquanatal classes anymore. Not that that would stop me from just going and doing some lengths though.

What I really want though is a bike so i can go on some nice away from the main roads bike rides with DH.

I have a question for all you ladies who've had a baby before. Will my boobs hurt for the whole pregnancy or will it stop soon? Please say it'll go away because it's driving me mad!

LittlePeaPod · 30/06/2013 15:00

Mad this is my first and I am 13+2 an my boobs have pretty much stopped hurting for now. At least that's one thing but till feel tired and sick..

Frizz how exciting. Good luck for tomorrow's 12 week scan.

enormouse · 30/06/2013 15:02

madrat they do start feeling less sore towards the second trimester. I found mine felt better once they were supported in a good bra. I also wore a sleep bra. They did feel achey when my milk came in but nowhere near as bad as the first few weeks. Have you thought about getting those cool or heat packs that go in your bras?

You lot are making me feel ashamed of myself, with your running and swimming. I'm sat on my tod with a cup of tea and some Rocky road pieces. Blush

Madratlady · 30/06/2013 15:39

Thanks ladies, it's good to know they'll start to feel better.

enormouse don't worry I haven't actually done any swimming, just thought about it. I did make my dh take me to two supermarkets last night because the first one didn't have the right flavour ice cream!

Penny31 · 30/06/2013 15:47

I haven't actually started swimming yet either...need to by a tankini first. I normally love shopping but its another thing I have no energy for at the mo!

Managed to take my mums dog out for a walk this morning, only half an hour but better than nothing. Sat on my bum ever since I got back. Ho hum.

BookTart · 30/06/2013 16:26

Mine are killing me madrat, my nips are cracked and started to bleed a bit Blush so I've had to buy some lanisoh already! Non-wired bras definitely help though.

Thinking of you tarka - hope all is well.

chocoloulou33 · 30/06/2013 16:26
