toby s/he may well be, but I'm sure s/he won't have an NT that high. I'm sure your brain is just working through stuff.
Although, I had a dream I was tied up by a German man (no one specific, just 'German man') and bonked thoroughly last night. It was quite saucy. I may have woken up a little... ahem... flustered. That cannot have anything to do with bean, as bean is DEFINITELY not German. I may be a mongrel, but there's no German in there. Welsh, Irish, Scotch, but no German.

Awww, lou, feel better lovey, it's hard, isn't it? I had a cry yesterday, so can't possibly tell you to man up. x

lou hope you get a second wind come tonight, this stage is hard. We don't look preg but have the tiredness, sickness, worry etc

Had scan, little one measuring 11+1 and curled up asleep for most part, tho did give me a wave. Everything looks fine for dates but going back next week for them to do more measurements. :)

Have we set up a Fb closed group yet? Did this with dd group and lovely way to keep in touch x

No scan for me today :( I was convinced it was at 3.30 and checked the letter just before we left to find that it actually said 3pm. I phoned them and the (incredibly rude and patronising) receptionist told me that it's basically tough luck and they'll send me another appointment. So I had a giant tearful meltdown, obv.

Oh nooooo toby you poor thing! Can you speak someone else who might be more understanding?

Oh dear Toby places that offer pregnancy scans really should cater better for pregnancy-brain and crazy hormones! My hospital actually texts to remind me of details before every app, it's really helpful. Hopefully you won't have long to wait for the next appointment.

Nope. I should have been there for 3. It's "not [her] problem" that I wasn't, nor that DH had taken the day off work for it. She wouldn't check to see if they were running late (we're only 10 mins away) and said that they'll contact me with a new appointment. DH will be so upset if they contact me with a same-day cancellation on a day he's already left for work and he misses it :(

That really is rubbish. I'm really sorry. I'm surprised they didn't let you go anyways, it's almost always running late by about 45 mins at the hospital

I asked, frying, but she said nobody had cancelled. I asked if the next person could go ahead of me and she spoke to me like I was 5 and said that they wouldn't turn up until 3.20, which would make everyone else late. I apologised a million times but she was obviously a hard faced cow very insistent.

I bet the other person was there. Some people are just unhelpful. Even if there were nothing else she could do, she could have been nicer about it.

My sickness and tiredness are more or less gone now, just occasional waves of queasiness now and then. My scan letter just arrived with an appointment for July 11th.

So sorry you didn't get your scan Toby. Fx you get another appointment soon and your Dh can make it.

blue how scary for you and glad it's stopped. The fact they saw the heartbeat is reassuring though, I think bleeding is more common than people think. Still scary and horrible though.
I was a bit obsessed with knicker checking at the beginning, but that seems to have passed now!

pea you are having a horrid time of it. Have you been given any anti sickness drugs? If its not easing up and you can't keep much down I'd go back to the midwives and see what they can do.

I've finally got my booking in appointment for next Wednesday after I missed my original one due to the appendicitis. Have my 12 week scan in a few weeks when I'll be almost 13 weeks. Quite excited but nervous too!

Does anyone know if you can take a child into the scan with you? We don't have anyone to look after our ds who is 13 months. Not ideal but we were planning on taking him in with us. Do you think they will mind?

toby how annoyingly frustrating! Any time I went with ds they were always late and made me wait up to 1 hour! (Not good when parking was pay and display and you need a pee!)

Did they not even ask to see if there was someone waiting?

Pidgy on our letter it said none under 5 but we took DS as had no babysitter and DH didn't want to miss it, and it was fine. They said as long as he was quiet it wouldn't be a problem and if he wasn't DH would have to take him out. He was good as gold!

extra, she didn't say, but I'm going to call them tomorrow to find out because they've only got until next Friday before it's too late to measure the important stuff.

pidgy, re taking your 13mo with you, some hospitals frown on it, but if you've got no choice, it's tough luck!

If it helps, when I was freaking out about scan being too late for NT and went for private scan, lovely sonographer said they've now moved the goalposts to 14+1 for latest you can test.

toby what a massive cow that receptionist sounds! I'm so sorry lovely - GAH. Stupid bloody hospitals. If you go on time next time and they are running late, I hope you make a HUGE fuss... As in EPIC amounts of fuss. Would serve her right.
If the next person hadn't turned up, odds were, they wouldn't have been seen on time, surely?
I am going home to check my appointment time (written on mat notes, as made at booking-in appt). And check again. So so easily done - I've missed £50 driving lessons before, and not even had baby brain to blame it on!

Thanks for asking tooth, yday's "task" did not happen... my sister asked my Mum point blank if I was pregnant as they had guessed why we wanted to come around. Then cancelled our visit, said she couldn't cope at the moment with being happy when they are in the midst of grief, which is fair enough. Just need more time, it is very early days.

Thanks, extra. It doesn't make much difference because 13+6 & 14 weeks fall next Saturday and Sunday, but I suppose it means it could be the following Monday at a push. Hopefully it won't come to that.
