naturegirl- there must be something in the air- I'm so annoyed w dh and just had a big row.

Naturegirl82 · 23/06/2013 20:01

Oh dear apparently hope it wasn't too bad. I'm quietly festering at the moment. What's annoying though is dh is training leaders for a camp for kids from disadvantaged backgrounds so don't know how annoyed I'm allowed to be as he is doing something to benefit others. Grrr.

Mac2014 · 23/06/2013 20:04

Ladies just checking in...

11+5 at the mo and willing the nausea to stop, although haven't vommed for a few days, yippee!

Glad to hear people are starting to feel better and scans are on their way! I haven't had my dating scan dates through yet. Tried to phone on Friday, but the numbers my MW gave just rang out. Will be trying again tomorrow.

Was up til midnight last night at a comedy night... An now I bed, exhausted.

Night all xxxx

Mac2014 · 23/06/2013 20:08

nature & apparently just read your posts. I'm exhausted as I've cleaned the house, cooked dinner and done loads of washing, whilst DH lay on the sofa like a sloth and watched the cricket. Have been in a foul shouty mood. Talking loudly to the dog about the laziness of DH! Why are they so useless?

Naturegirl82 · 23/06/2013 20:24

Dh is usually so good but when it comes to these camps nothing else matters. I have 3 weeks of it in the summer as well. Just burnt my finger trying to rescue the chicken before it burnt to a crisp Sad . But on the plus side my Yorkshire puds have turned out a treat! Smile

MrsGSR · 23/06/2013 20:29

I've read everything but can't remember who said what, very impressed with all the talk of exercise though, I've had a go on the exercise bike and been on some walks but feel tired just thinking of running!

I'm 10+1 today and nausea is slowly fading, still have some food aversions but I only feel nauseous when I think about them, whereas before I felt sick all the time and it just got worse thinking about food! I'm still exhausted all the time, and panicky about nausea fading so not feeling much better!

Good luck to all those having scans over the next few days, and welcome to those who've just joined! :)

enormouse · 23/06/2013 20:44

Oh God I take it back, thought I was ok but am not. Was afflicted by baby brain whilst having a driving lesson.
Luckily my instructor is lovely, let me take a few breaks and when my concentration completely lapsed (luckily in the last 10 minutes) drove me home. Feel completely crap about it as I'm a perfectionist and like to get things right, especially something I know I can do.

nature just enjoy the lovely dinner you've made. Am jealous you can make yorkshires.
Mac someone previously said we're superwoman. I agree totally.

Mac2014 · 23/06/2013 20:56

Lol!! Thinking we should all wear our pants over our trousers tomorrow to show the superwomannyness of us all!

Naturegirl82 · 23/06/2013 20:58

Well luckily dinner wasn't ruined and I'm now stuffed! Smile Just about ready for bed. Wish it wasn't Monday tomorrow though.

enormouse · 23/06/2013 21:47

Mac I'd do that but I think I'd scare people with my giant granny panties.

Sultanajo · 23/06/2013 21:57

Ughhh! It's Monday tomorrow! Telling my boss tomorrow hopefully! Looking forward to him knowing but things are so crazy goodness knows the arrangements it will take to get someone to cover me for a year....ah well, what will be will be....

Night all. Sweet dreams! Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 23/06/2013 22:01

mac me too - what enormouse said. My pants are too large to be seen by other humans.
sultana I hear you. This week is the last full one before I can tell work. I may have to pull a sickie to get through it all. Time is draaaaagggggging at work, cos I want to tell and talk about it, so I just sit there in silence cos I can't say anything.
I'm for bed too, night lovelies. x

Naturegirl82 · 23/06/2013 22:21

Good luck tomorrow sultanajo fx it goes well.

Sultanajo · 24/06/2013 06:48

Arghhh humpty. Its so hard not saying anything! Hope this week goes quickly for u!

Thanks nature - getting nervous now!

Pidgy · 24/06/2013 08:29

Hi ladies,
Boy, you move quick! As soon as I find a thread then I lose it!!

Congrats for all the positive scan stories! Exciting to see that little heart beat for the first time.
And my heart goes out to omama. Sorry to hear about your sad news.

We've had an eventful few weeks to say the least. I got taken into a&e with stomach pains on right hand side. The doctors thought it could be an ectopic so admitted me and did a scan the next day. It wasn't thankfully and I saw a blob with a flashing heart beat! :-)

I then couldn't stop being sick and just felt terrible. The doctor was convinced that I had severe morning sickness and that the pain was 'pregnancy related' because he said I'd be a lot iller if it was something like an appendicitis. They were planning on sending me home with some anti sickness tablets. Luckily they referred me to a surgeon who took 1 look at me and I was on the operating table 1 hour later to remove my appendix.

Thank god as it was black and leaking out gunk (I've seen the pictures!). Had to call the consultant to do the op as was a lot more tricky than they thought. Result of the delay was that I then had an infection and my bowels stopped working. So 5 days of vomiting everything and anything that passed my lips followed.

But, I am now fully discharged from the hospital and on the way to recovery.

Can't help but worry what this could have done to my baby. :-(
I've had 2 more scans post op and all looked well, but all they could check for at this stage was the heart beat

Worry, worry, worry.

TobyLerone · 24/06/2013 08:34

Wow, pidgy, eventful and scary times for you! Glad you're recovering now.

Good luck today, sultana!

Mythreeknights · 24/06/2013 09:03

Blimey Pidgy that sounds like a horrendous experience and yet you are so matter of fact about it...good for you! FWIW, a friend of mine had to have an ovary removed whilst 8 weeks pg with triplets. The op was a success and the trips were not affected by it at all. But get well soon! Sounds like an awful lot to deal with whilst pregnant and worrying in general about everything else!

Pidgy · 24/06/2013 09:13

Thanks girls.
X

Bluecarrot · 24/06/2013 09:21

Hi everyone :) I'm so cheap at keeping up with this thread- it moves too fast!

I'm 12 weeks today and we are telling my daughter and parents on Thursday night, then travelling down (100 miles) to tell DPs parents on Saturday. We then go on a holiday to Donegal for a week ( just dd and me) with friends of mine and their kids. Will be spilling the beans to them that week.

It was my birthday on Saturday and I struggled with the attention of 7 people (inc 4 kids) singing happy birthday to me. I'm terrified of the attention ill get when I tell about the baby. I want them just to know and not be excited - how weird is that?!

I'm needing to carefully lose a few lbs. my eating habits have been appalling recently and other than a few long walks, I've been v sedentary. I feel bleugh because if it. Need to get motivated!

Penny31 · 24/06/2013 09:29

pidgy sorry you have been through such a tough time! I'm pleased you are on the road to recovery now. I'm sure your baby is fine, they are tough little things :)

chocoholicalcoholic · 24/06/2013 10:14

Bloody hell pidgy! You've had a crazy time of it! Hope you're recovering well. I'm sure the baby will be fine, they're strong little things. Lovely that you've seen the heartbeat.

Can't remember anything else. Oooops. Good luck for scans, mine is tomorrow. Finally!

Glad sickness is easing for some, I think it is easing for me although am still chucking. Just not as frequent. Beginning of the end I hope!

Have a good day ladies.

MrsGSR · 24/06/2013 10:37

pidgy sounds very stressful! Sorry you had to go through that, fx baby is fine, they are very well protected and having seen a heartbeat since is a very good sign :)

Good luck sultanajo and anyone telling work or family this week!
blue I know what you mean about attention, DH had been laughing at me as I keep sneaking out the room just before he tells people!

fryingpantoface · 24/06/2013 10:41

Bloody hell pidgy!

I've nothing to add to the thread, I'm 10+2. Ds was really sick on Saturday so spent the day in bed with me holding my hand. It was really hard because i wanted to sleep but just couldn't.

he seems ok now, so mil is taking him for a few hours so i can sleep because i feel awful now!

lovelilies · 24/06/2013 10:44

pidgy thats quite an ordeal, to try and reassure you,I looked after a lady not long ago who had an ischemic bowel at 12 weeks so had a lot of bowel removed and a stoma formed. a couple of months later she had that reversed, got an infection, was v poorly, but all through this (lots of time in ITU) ops etc, the baby is fine, she's about 30 weeks pg now... Grin

chocoloulou33 · 24/06/2013 10:58
