I had pancakes yesterday with my little sis after we found her dream wedding dress Smile good day!

TobyLerone · 23/06/2013 11:11

My scan's on Thursday.

I should probably get dressed for lunch. I doubt they'll let me in in my dressing gown!

Sultanajo · 23/06/2013 12:42

penny well done! I too have been out shopping and had my bra fitting - 40DD. A far cry from the 34DD I was in my 20s! Blush Also invested in larger knickers today too as my normal ones are starting to feel uncomfy....Confused

Sultanajo · 23/06/2013 12:49

Well I proved once more that I am a marketers dream! Saw these limited edition apples in m & s called "baby rockitt apples" that come in a tube and couldnt resist buying not one, but two tubes! Blush Hope they taste good!

Tigglettchic · 23/06/2013 12:54

checking in, 8 and 6days. horrid gagging since wk5. Up and down eating i.e nothing for days then today: peanut butter and banana sandwich, melon, yoghurt, frankfurters and buttery pasta!!!!!!

due on the 27th jan 2014, dc1!!!!!

Naturegirl82 · 23/06/2013 15:51

Well I've just caved and bought a pair of under bump jeans. Figured as I've spent half this week sat at my desk with my trousers undone it was probably time. Grin

vix206 · 23/06/2013 15:57

Can I join? I'm being a floozy as I'm also on the February thread but I'm due 27 January with DC2. DS was 15 days late which is why I'm expecting a February arrival but you never know!!

MrsMLB · 23/06/2013 15:57

Ohhhh tiggletchic we are twins, I'm as also due on 27th with my first! Although as I'm quite expecting my edd to change after my scan!

Toothfairy78 · 23/06/2013 16:15

Ooh, now feeling a but tired from all the excitement! And having painted the stair rails, laundry, the shopping, cooking...

Glad to see peeps are vomming less and eating more by the way!

Am gonna have a lie down followed by some knitting...

carrotcakecupcake · 23/06/2013 16:27

Sounds like a good day all round, especially tooth and Freddie! Thanks btw for the new craving for maple syrup and bacon (preferably on blueberry pancakes) - must be the American coming out in me!!

Naturegirl I was the same all last week - had to keep checking when I stood up that I wasn't exposing too much Blush Desperately awaiting a package from Gap to arrive!

So even though I haven't been near my running shoes in, ohhh, I don't even know how long, I decided to try and run the Race for Life this morning. Managed it all and in a good time, but boy am I sore now!! Currently reclined on sofa stuffing my face with some rather sore legs!! That'll teach me Smile will stick to the swimming pool from now on.

Sultanajo · 23/06/2013 16:46

Welcome Vix & Tiggle!

Nature you have to give in at some point and I for one have never looked back! Ahhh holy realms of comfort batman!!!Grin

Sultanajo · 23/06/2013 16:50

carrot well I take my hat off to you! Just walking round the shops earlier had me wanting a nap! What a sense of achievement! Hope u arent too sore tomorrow!

Well apart from the horrendous trapped wind that just wont bugger off, am having a pretty good afternoon. Am about to try some hot water with lemon....already tried stretching, squats, lying flat and Rennie Deflatine. Never had it so persistently! Sad Come on hot water - do your thang! Wink

enormouse · 23/06/2013 16:52

Everyone seems to be a lot better today, which is great to hear. What is it with the pancakes today?!? I manage to wake up earlyish and make some egg free ones (I'm allergic) with yoghurt and berries for the family. I feel almost normal again. Even managed to put on a load of laundry and clean up the house.

Naturegirl82 · 23/06/2013 17:02

I don't think I will look back they are so comfy. Smile

Well done carrot on your run. I ran the London marathon in april and haven't run since Sad. Had IT band problems but really need to get out there again. I miss it. How did you feel when you were running? I'm a bit scared to go out after so long!

Penny31 · 23/06/2013 17:15

Well I managed a walk and some breakfast then my and DP wandered around mothercare, mamas and papas and John Lewis. Got home and had a nap. Nota bad day all in all! I caved in and mad my first purchase. Some vests and Muslins :) had a sneaky look at prams too!

carrotcakecupcake · 23/06/2013 17:20

Naturegirl It was nowhere near as bad as I expected. My hips were a little sore but they've been aching this past week and I'm chalking it up to hormones? (or something preg related?) I say go for it!!

Penny31 · 23/06/2013 17:25

Good on you carrot! I have done no exercise other than walking. I feel huge. I get a pain low down in my belly if I exert myself too much.

Frizz1986 · 23/06/2013 17:51

Welcome to all the newbies and glad theres so much talk of food and doing things. Looks like some people are almost over that sickness hurdle.
I managed to actually do housework today. Cleaned, ironed, did a small shop (only buy as we need atm as was buying food for teas on a weekly basis, but by the time it came to eating them i didnt want them anymore)

Well my next maternity wear arrived today and thank god i went for a 10 (am norm a 10-12) as the jeans (over bump) are currently falling down as i need a mega bump growth to fill these things. Was hoping that it would be tight enough around my hips to stay up but not looking good. Am sure in a few weeks theyll be fine but not yet. They feel fab sat down tho!
The work trousers (under bump) are much better. Have pulled the elastic tabs in almost as tight as poss so they stay up, just need to try them on with my shirts now to make sure you cant see the elastic panels.

Well i am on countdown until the 12 week scan. Its a week tomorrow and I am beyond desperate for it to arrive. Cant believe in 8 days i will know if i have made it through the first trimester. Having the scan at 9 weeks and seeing a heartbeat def makes me less nervous but I know that doesnt always mean all will be ok so just really want to know.

farmersdaughter · 23/06/2013 18:34

Hello, Just check in Wink

Bluegh bluegh......I really am getting horridly feed up for feeling so ill. However this week I have mange to potty train DD, get her into a big bed and lose 8lb.

Need to read the thread and catch up.

Xxxx

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 23/06/2013 18:45

Evening gorgeouses,

Well, hen do was AWFUL - really badly organised (I turned up to one branch of a cafe, eventually they realised they were in the other, despite email tot he contrary); we stayed in a YOUTH hostel (av age of our party: 31) where we had to sleep in bunk beds which were too short, and with a filthy bathroom that stank of wee. Then we got lost on the way to brunch today. I was murderous when I got home. It was nice seeing the hen and my other mates, but the rest of the hen's friends are beyond wet. I could cheerfully have slapped most of them. Now I have to get through a wedding a) pretending I remember any of their names and b) not slapping/insulting any of them.

Apart from that, I am still plagued by hayfever. The Prevalin works (thanks toby) but not all the time, and I get sneezing fits, particularly on the Tube and my nose is like a tap. It's driving me insane. I want to scream at the pollen and the stupid wind for stirring it all around

However, no longer feeling so dreadful, just occasional nausea, and my appetite is recovering at last! Upsides to everything.

Glad to hear nice news, good luck for any scans tomorrow and hope everyone is well and happy.

Apparentlychilled · 23/06/2013 18:49

Hey all. I had a 14 hr journey to a family funeral yesterday and today I'm totally exhausted, despite an early night last night and a nap at lunchtime. I guess it was too much for me, esp as I didn't sleep well the previous night. Hmm. Poor DH was in charge of the DC yesterday and again most of the day today- I think he's looking forward to going back to work tomorrow! I'm now 9+2 so am hoping my energy levels pick up in about 3 weeks, and that nausea subsides.

Sultanajo · 23/06/2013 19:14

Ekkk frizz not long now! Grin

penny well I am not surprised you weakened! I nearly did today but just stopped myself!!! Wink

farmer that is a massive achievement! Well done!

humpty omg! A bit like a carry on film then! Well done for getting through it and am sure you can ignore the wet ones at the wedding....what a nightmare!!! Great the nausea is easing and your appetite is returning! Yippee!

I am noticing subtle improvements like coping with food smells better and I managed to eat some chicken yesterday which I couldnt face before, so despite the nausea, ridiculously sensitive gag reflex and exhaustion things do seem to be slowly getting better which is great! Finally at 13 weeks 2 days! Grin

Sultanajo · 23/06/2013 19:15

apparently so sorry about your funeral and what a trek! Not surprised you are now wiped out! Stamina isnt a word in my vocab at the moment - dont know how these super human ladies are running races! Confused

Naturegirl82 · 23/06/2013 19:32

Grrr currently cooking a roast for me and dh (which I never do as he does most/all of the cooking). He was meant to be home at 7 but I thought I would have it ready for 8 just in case he was late and now he won't be home till half eight. Angry I'm in a huff now!
