Penny31 · 19/06/2013 22:23

sarahjayne I'm so sorry. Are your family nearby? We are all here for you xx

SarahJayne321 · 19/06/2013 22:27

Thank you so much guys. Yeah I'm staying at my mums, stupid as it sounds I just wish I was with him. Love eh!

TobyLerone · 19/06/2013 22:30

Sarah, horrible as it seems to you now, it sounds to me like this is the best possible outcome. He sounds like a nasty piece of work and you're well shot of him.
I'm sorry you're having to deal with this :(

enjoyingscience · 19/06/2013 22:34

sarah you poor thing. I hope your mum's giving you lots of love!

Like Toby says, it's better he's shown his true, shitty colours now, rather than when you're much further along or when baby is here. You really are best rid, what sort of a dick treats people like that? (answer: massive ones)

Toothfairy78 · 19/06/2013 22:41

SarahJ sorry to hear that, but you'd be better off without that kind of toxic attitude around you right now. Let's hope things improve for you now.

extracrunchy · 20/06/2013 00:00

Sarah so sorry to hear that. What a bastard... Like others have said though, better now. Hope you're holding up.

Omama fingers firmly crossed for you. I also had a similar experience and all is well, so I'm hopeful for you!

Sultanajo I expect a full report on the pillow in the morning! Hope it's lovely...

Bugsy - welcome! Smile

sarahleanne · 20/06/2013 03:05

Hi ladies, it's 3am and I've been up for an hour now with really painful stomach cramps and bleeding. Light pinkish bleeding but a fair amount. I blead with other pregnancies a bit but never had cramps like this before . So worried. I've took tablets and have got a heated wheat pillow on my belly but nothing is easing the pain and I've been doubled over in agony in and off . The pain was so bad it actually woke me up. I've no idea how to contact my epu in the morning or a number for midwife when she's not in the office and I'm pretty sure she's only there Mondays and Wednesdays. Really hoping things are ok with baby, I only saw the heartbeat 2 days ago , really hoping it doesn't all go wrong at this stage.

fryingpantoface · 20/06/2013 05:55

Sarahleanne id just go to a&e. Because your bleeding and in pain they'll want to see you anyway. So just go in hun x

TobyLerone · 20/06/2013 05:56

Oh, you poor thing. Is your EPU at your local hospital? Call the switchboard and get them to put you through, if so. If you have a mobile no for your midwife, you could call it anyway. If she's like mine, she's only in the surgery 1 day a week, but she's still working the other days.

LittlePeaPod · 20/06/2013 06:20

SarahJayne. I am just catching up. I am so sorry to hear your news. Go straight go A&E they will see you because you are bleeding and you are in pain. Flowers

With regards your OH, I am sorry to hear the news. The other ladies are right, you are better off without him. Any man that can say the things his said to you is not the sort of influence you need in your life. There is no justification on earth to what he said about the baby. I know it's really painful and I hope you are doing as well as can be under the circumstances....

Sultanajo pillow report please. Smile

Welcome and congratulations to all the new ladies Flowers

SarahJ you poor lass! What a total cuntpuffin! As the others have said, much better you find out now and get yourself sorted out, but it's going to be a stress when it comes to sorting out access etc. Soooo what it shouldn't be like - talk about taking away the excitement from you! So pleased you have your Mum there with you. If we can help in any way, even if it's just to be an ear to bend, just let us know. xxx

SarahL really hope you popped yourself down to A & E. Am thinking of you - hope you are OK. Flowers

Sultanajo · 20/06/2013 08:01

OK, after popular demand Wink here is the Dreamgenii Pillow first night update! Grin

Well after a sweat filled night (my god how hot and humid was it???) and a morning of nightmares about the world tipping and having to climb cliffs to get away from the rising sea and sharks (OMFG!!!) so far the pillow has been positive. I had to chuck it half way through the night because I was just too hot and couldn't cope with anything touching me, but when I was using it it was really comfy and felt supportive lying on my side. Smile

So far so good. I am going to sleep downstairs on the sofa tonight (where it is about 10 degrees cooler) and try it again and hopefully will be able to keep it with me all night.

It was certainly a massive improvement on the Mum E Pillow I bought a while ago, which is HUGE and bulky and took over the whole bed and gave me neck ache!!!

Will update again tomorrow after hopefully a cooler night's sleep....

Frizz1986 · 20/06/2013 08:42

sarahj that's a pretty s@#t deal, but the others are right, if he's gonna be like that life will better without him. You don't want to be dealing with 2 babies in the new year!

sarahl hope you got seen and all is ok. I wish they told told how common things like this were right at the start.

On another note I am loving nectarines at the moment. I am not really a fruit person either but they are delish.
My food today at work currently consists of: rice krispies, 2 nectarines, a vanilla yoghurt, a bread roll, some marinated artichokes and an innocent noodle pot. Plus the selection of bourbons and digestives in my bag. Hoping that i will still want to eat it come lunch. Def find I feel less sick if i continuously eat, but that means that the podge is def growing. Can't wait until I can blame my belly on a baby!

Frizz1986 · 20/06/2013 08:53

Oh and I am loving chocolate milk. It's like I have turned into a kid lol. For some reason a cloud has lifted this morning and am even feeling happy through the nausea. Maybe it's just because it's only 11 days until the scan!
Really hope everyone else is perking up slowly.

MrsVDB · 20/06/2013 09:03

sarah pregnancy can be stressful and confusing for me too. As my dh has proved they can say some pretty nasty things as they don't understand what we are going through. I bought mine a pregnancy for men booked and it has really helped ( he now doesn't even mention it if I only have Doritos for dinner!). But he sounds like he's gone too far in my opinion. Hope you're ok.

sarahl I couldn't find epu details on hospital page so googled it and got the details that way. I'd definitely recommend popping in, just to give you reassurance.

Right ladies I need your help please. I have a black tie work do to go to next week and have been so worried about how to not drink I'd not even thought about the menu (3 courses and will be fancy). Now they have asked about dietary requirements and I can't really say no soft cheese, no rare meat etc and list everything out. Would it be easier to just say I'm pregnant? If so ill have to tell the lady at the company who's hosting as she's sorting it out...

bugsyburge · 20/06/2013 09:09

oh the sickness has begun.....Envy

extracrunchy · 20/06/2013 09:21

MrsV how far along are you now?

SarahL did you go to A&E? Hope you're ok. Thinking of you!

SarahJ hope you have a better day today. Glad you've got your mum around!

extracrunchy · 20/06/2013 09:21

Bugsy bleurgh poor you! Good sign though - strong baby Grin

TobyLerone · 20/06/2013 09:27

MrsV, you could just say you don't eat cheese or meat.

chocoloulou33 · 20/06/2013 09:29

Hi everyone just checking in saying hello. My phone rly playing up & can't read all the other posts. They are all muddled. But sending hugs to those who need it xx
Breaking news, I wasn't sick yesterday!!!! First day in weeks. Is this the start of me feeling better?! Still feeling sick & rough but hey an improvement. Let's hope it lasts! Am 11 & half weeks now :) x

sarahleanne · 20/06/2013 09:32

Hi everyone, thanks for messages. I rang epu and apparently I can't self refer so am waiting for a call from the doctor, which will probably take all day. Still no change with me either. Will let you all know how I get on later.

Vatta · 20/06/2013 09:45

Sarahleanne - to be honest I would just go to a and e. If you're in pain and bleeding they can check you out. I've had a little bit of bleeding the last couple of days, and been advised that if it gets heavy or I get cramps I should go to a and e.

Vatta · 20/06/2013 10:02

MrsV - I think just say no meat, no dairy - that should cover you. If anybody queries it you can just say you're on a health kick.

Expectans · 20/06/2013 10:11

SarahJ, I was in a similar position. My thinking was that the worse-case scenario would be me on my own with my lovely baby, with my mum to help. Which actually is not so very bad. Thinking like that really helped me, as it made me see that the only person who would lose out would be him, and that I could be strong enough for my baby on my own. Hope you feel better soon!

MrsV, I am pretty certain that you will be safe from rare meat at a big work do. Even if it is a roast, you can always ask for the bits from the end which will be well-done. It is really hard to serve rare meat to large groups. Any chance you could get the menu ahead of time from the venue just to see? The one possible problem might be a pate starter, because you shouldn't eat a veggie one either. As to not drinking, carry a glass around with you but just do not drink it - most people are really unobservant, then make sure you have something to actually drink on the table.

sarahleanne · 20/06/2013 10:19

Epu won't scan me so soon after my scan on Tuesday so I've been booked in for another scan on Tuesday. They said they have to leave a week between scans so they can tell if the baby is growing as it should be . Thanks for all your support, I'm staying positive xx
