Sultanajo · 19/06/2013 16:43

Ummmmm, Penny I can't figure it out....hopefully someone on here can....

extracrunchy · 19/06/2013 16:43

Penny - could last "period" have been implantation bleed? Dates on scan are better indicators than LMP generally but still might change at next one! Mine were changed 3 times last pregnancy, then DS arrived 3 weeks early weighing just under 10lb so they must have got something wrong... (Either that or I'm going to have to squeeze out a 12lber if I carry to term this time. Eek.)

Apparentlychilled · 19/06/2013 16:44

ps I'm in West Yorkshire.

Sultanajo · 19/06/2013 16:44

Penny they aren't active all the time so perhaps you caught it having a nap!!!?

Extra that's great news! What a relief!!!

extracrunchy · 19/06/2013 16:44

Ooh and welcome Expectans and Apparently! Grin

Penny31 · 19/06/2013 16:46

Hmmm maybe it was having a nap I guess awwww.

My period was pretty heavy so could it really be implantation!?? So strange. Maybe we have an extra huge baby!

LittlePeaPod · 19/06/2013 16:47

Apparently there re a few of us on here from Yorkshire.. Well there was a few threads back... Grin

Expectans · 19/06/2013 16:52

Penny31, no it doesn't (I think, anyway). Because they add on 2 weeks so your baby is already 2 weeks old when it is conceived, it means actually if you are 13+4 you conceived on about the 6th April. You can't have conceived before your last period.

Congratulations on your scan!

Yorkiedodah · 19/06/2013 16:58

Welcome Expectans - Congrats on your news

Thanks Curley, Sultanajo and Pea I'm relatively new in the West Yorkshire region (originally from SE London) but this and other issues with the GP has made me wonder about down south....

Has anyone felt any weird vibrations in their bumps? I swear I have today DP thinks its gas - but I'm convinced its baby flutters!!! I'm only 10+3!

Apparentlychilled · 19/06/2013 17:00

Hey Yorkie and LittlePea- waves across W Yorkshire. I'm about 15 miles outside Leeds- where are you?

LittlePeaPod · 19/06/2013 17:04

Yorkie welcome to Yorkshire. I moved here about 15 years ago. I am in West Yorkshire too. You may be interested in this. I have applied and got a place. A friend is on it and she says the MW are brilliant. It's a trail the NHS are doing for one to one MW services for pregnant women. You get to see MW as often or as little as you want. Plus they come to your house anytime from 8am till 8pm.... This is in adition to the MW via your GP. Have a look..

Thanks LittlePea.

And I meant to say welcome to Yorkshire too Yorkie. I moved from East London 6 years ago, before having DD. It was a bit of a culture shock from Hackney, but we're all happy and v settled now.

Yorkiedodah · 19/06/2013 17:12

Hey Apparently and Pea I'm on the cusp of Halifax and Bradford. More Bradford lol. Its different up here - still getting used to it...

Pea I was told about one to one before and emailed. Got an email back to say that funding was cut in my area and it was no longer being commissioned around here... :(

Yorkiedodah · 19/06/2013 17:13

Aww Apparently I moved in September to teach up here and be with DP. Lived in Waterloo - which I miss alot :(

LittlePeaPod · 19/06/2013 17:18

Ohh sorry about the funding.... Yorkie

I am on the outskirts of Huddersfield... Just off junction 24.... Easy access to Manchester and Leeds for work. Grin

I don't know Bradford that well but coming from London I am not surprised its a shock to the system... Wink

I'm on the north of Leeds and Bradford. Yorkie- having DD was the thing that settled us in Yorkshire- till then we talked fairly regularly about moving "home" to London and for ages I got homesick for London when we visited. But now I love Yorkshire and wouldn't live in London again (not dissing anyone else's choices- I've just learnt to appreciate the good things about Yorkshire and no longer get the things I used to love about E8). Have you joined an ante-natal class? We made lovely friends through NCT, who we're still in touch with.

MrsGSR · 19/06/2013 17:31

yorkie sorry your feeling rubbish, and that you have a crap GP! Glad to hear you got rid of the driving instructor though.

I'm in West Midlands, I think it's just me around here!

Yorkiedodah · 19/06/2013 17:37

Hmm maybe I'll be a little more settled when babbie makes an appearance. Most of my family and friends still live in London so I do go down and catch up every once in a while. :)
No -I haven't joined an ante-natal class but then again I haven't even had my mid wife appt yet. Its a booking appointment with no scan!!! Boo impatience. ..grr

Apparentlychilled · 19/06/2013 17:38

My experience is that they get booked up early, so if you're confident of your dates, I'd start to make enquiries about availability.

LittlePeaPod · 19/06/2013 17:43

Thanks Apparently I am going to look at NCT now...

Yorkie how many weeks are you?

OP posts:
Yorkiedodah · 19/06/2013 17:44

cool i'll look into it - thanks apparently x

LittlePeaPod · 19/06/2013 17:46

Yorkie not sure when you moved here but if you need tips on anything Yorkshire (places etc.) just give us a shout. I am sure we will happily help.. Smile. I remember what it was like moving to a new city and not really knowing anyone.... [smie]
