flyer, roxvox I will have the same sunbathing problem on holidays. A large hole in the sand it is then!

roxvox · 20/06/2013 12:27

Glad it made you laugh Flyer! I do reckon it would work though Grin

Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time clapham. That's great that a couple of days rest has helped you to breathe a bit, and nice to think that you've got more time yet and something to keep you entertained as well!

roxvox · 20/06/2013 12:38

I have just posted my first bump picture on Facebook at 25 weeks. I still have bump envy of all of you girls who are noticeably pregnant! A new girl started in the office 2 weeks ago, and she only worked out I was pregnant a couple of days ago when someone asked me if I was feeling any kicks yet!

Flyer747 · 20/06/2013 12:41

Claphammama sorry to hear about stressy time chick. The best thing is to be off work if you feel this way. Do you have an occ health department at work you could be referred to? I have been signed off twice with stress from work in the past and went to occ health and they were so kind and put me on a reduced working roster for 6 months on both occasions. Would reduced hours help you maybe?

Glad you are feeling a little more upbeat though, I hope the weather stays nice down south for you so you can enjoy some sun (I always find the sun puts me in such a better mood)

It's hard when you feel stressed over things, always here with an open ear. X

Shirehobbit · 20/06/2013 12:58

Hope the de-stress time helps, Clapham

Good luck falcon and MoN

MotherOfNations · 20/06/2013 13:21

My baby girl has a hole in her heart. I've been sent up to The Southern General to see a fetal heart specialist. I'll keep you updated.

PseudoBadger · 20/06/2013 13:23

Oh MoN :( Are you seeing the specialist today?

Flyer747 · 20/06/2013 13:30

:-( oh no MoN everything crossed for you. Thinking of you xxx

MotherOfNations · 20/06/2013 13:30

Just waiting to be seen now. On my own as I sent my sister home with dd. She had my neices graduation ceremony to go to and I didn't want her to miss it.
I've been told it will need surgery and was given the termination talk again but there's no way that's an option at this stage.

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 20/06/2013 13:31

MoN - Huge unmumsnetty hugs, hope you are bearing up ok. I hope the specialist can give you reassurance and answer your questions.

Wickedgirl · 20/06/2013 13:46

MoN.......I hope everything works out for you both x

thethreeblondies · 20/06/2013 14:06

Sorry to hear that MON hopefully the meeting with specialist is positive, and you are not on your own, we are all with you in spirit xx

claphammama · 20/06/2013 14:07

oh no MoN... hope they won't make you wait long and will reassure you... thinking of you and sending you a big hug xxxx

GTbaby · 20/06/2013 14:15

Angel care monitor is on sale £74 on kiddicare. Very good price if your considering it.

MoN I'm sure this is very scary for you. a neighbours son was born with this and he has gone on to be a very healthy young man and just had his 2nd child.

roxvox · 20/06/2013 14:22

I hope everything goes well with the specialist MoN, so sorry to hear that your scan wasn't all good news. Got my fingers crossed for you.

MotherOfNations · 20/06/2013 14:29

It us a serious heart defect and there is poor blood flow to the kings also. They want to check the sample taken at my amnio for a genetic disorder called 22Q as a heart defect can be a feature of that. I don't know too much about it but I get the feeling that they're advising termination if that's the case.
They think if 22Q isn't present it may be treatable but will take a series of operations. I don't think I can cope with this.

Flyer747 · 20/06/2013 14:38

Oh my goodness MoN do you have someone there with you? I'm so sad for you hun, sending you a huge hug. I really really hope it's not this 22Q and it's something treatable. Xxx

roxvox · 20/06/2013 14:40

Sending massive hugs from me too MoN. How soon will they be able to get the results? Really got my fingers crossed supremely tightly that there's no sign of 22Q and that they can do something.

MotherOfNations · 20/06/2013 14:47

I'm on my own Flyer. Just waiting for the bus home with my face all puffy from crying.
I get the results back tomorrow roxvox. I feel sick.

Flyer747 · 20/06/2013 14:51

:-( everything crossed v v tightly for those results. I cannot even begin to think how you are feeling..puffy eyes totally allowed and acceptable at the current moment. Biggest of hugs xx

Soupqueen · 20/06/2013 14:55

All my thoughts and best wishes are with you MoN
I can't think what to say but I am thinking of you.

tuckingfits · 20/06/2013 14:58

Oh MoN. I am so sorry. You've had a really shitty tough time of it & it's just not fair. Really seriously hoping it's not 22Q & that your Eliana will be perfectly well after a couple of operations. I know that prospect must be horrifyingly daunting, but Glasgow has such excellent heart specialists/Yorkhill etc.

Thinking of you. Mentally sending you big full body squeezes. I truly hope that there is no genetic condition to be found.xxxx

Umlauf · 20/06/2013 15:00

Oh my god mon I'm so sorry to read your updates. She has been a little fighter so far defying odds and I hope so much the specialist has good news for you. Is your DH there with you? You have been amazingly strong the whole way through and you will cope. I'm thinking of you and your family xxx

legallyblond · 20/06/2013 15:08

I am so sorry MoN. This is a post 20 week scan isn't it? Didn't they see it at all at 20 weeks? Thinking of you x x

MotherOfNations · 20/06/2013 15:23

Thankyou everyone. 23 wks today. They couldn't get a clear view of the heart at the last scan but they didn't seem too concerned. I thought today was just them being cautious.
I need to get myself together before I go and collect Linah from my sister's and go home to the others.
