Starting yet another thread as us chatterboxes have filled up 2 already!

Jucy, I'm so sorry to hear your news. Big hugs, wish there was something more I could say. Flowers

Frouby, if you're feeling crap just fuck the housework off, I do! It'll keep.

I'm scared and excited in equal measures about the scan on Friday. Looking forward to seeing bean and being able to get on with things. But obviously scared of getting bad news like Jucy... 2 days, 1 hour and 50 minutes to go!

My friend has offered to be a birthing partner too. I may well take her up on it, I suspect she'll be more help than OH. And as I'm planning on having a home water birth and OH has already invited his bloody mum (!) think it'll be good to have a friend there. I'm not private at all, have zero issues with people seeing me naked (as my neighbours will tell you) and she's seen me throw up enough times from our party days (though never shit myself to be fair) that I'm not too fussed about that.

Happy fathers' day everyone, are you mentioning to DP/DH? I said it this morning when getting up but think DH was fast asleep :-)

QueenofWhispers · 16/06/2013 09:10

Happy Fathers Day :)

I was going to mention it to DH but he's been not so nice to me lately.

We've been arguing more and more lately and I just don't know what to do.

having said that, he's just brought me breakfast in bed.

QueenofWhispers · 16/06/2013 09:20

i feel like the ultimate douche.

LadyMedea · 16/06/2013 09:21

Don't feel like douche

QueenofWhispers · 16/06/2013 09:49

I'll try not to. So whats happening girlfriends? (saying this with my texan accent)

Futterby · 16/06/2013 10:26

I have a bump! It's loud, it's proud and it's demanding a seat on the bus. Love it! Now to get DP to help me paint my toenails...

musiceverywhere · 16/06/2013 10:54

So sorry to hear your sad news fluffy, must be an awful shock. Hope you've got lots of support and look after yourself. Thinking of you.
I need some hand holding ladies, just arrived on holiday yesterday, this morning had episode of quite heavy bright red bleeding. No pain though. Am terrified. DH gone to find any shop that's open on a Sunday (in France!) as haven't brought any pads. We're 40 mins from nearest hospital. Am sat writing down key words from French dictionary in case we need to go. Was so happy last night, now so scared. Why here/now?!

Futterby · 16/06/2013 11:29

Holding your hand music Flowers

musiceverywhere · 16/06/2013 12:21

Thanks. He's back, not a single shop, petrol station, pharmacy open within 40 mins drive Hmm Have to 'make do' with loo roll for now. Bleeding hasn't continued after that one episode, so just have to hope for best. And spend first day of holiday obsessively knicker checking.

Futterby · 16/06/2013 15:48

That's awful :( hopefully it stays off, how long are you on holiday for?

MildredH · 16/06/2013 16:00

Sorry to hear that music.. The fact it's stopped must be positive..

Are you able to see someone tomo for reassurance? Even a GP who could doppler you?

I hope you're able to relax a bit and enjoy despite the worry.

musiceverywhere · 16/06/2013 16:17

We're here for another 9 days, my parents joining us tomorrow. I don't know how healthcare system works here- would a GP be private and therefore I wouldn't be covered by my EHI card? Keep hoping it was just a small blood vessel that's burst. I've had lletz treatment on my cervix before, not sure if that could be related. If anything else happens we'll go to hospital. If worst case scenario and it is a miscarriage, is it going to require medical intervention at 14 wks? Not sure if they would recommend just managing it on own at home? Wasn't there a poster on here from France? I am just trying to relax and rest, reading in sunshine (and going to loo to check every 30 mins) Hmm

Roselau · 16/06/2013 16:45

music have you tried calling your travel insurance provider to see how / if they will cover the medical visit?

i hope everything works out keep us posted!

Holly1977 · 16/06/2013 19:09

Sorry to hear that music, I'm sure it'll be ok. The occasional spot of blood is normal I think? I've had a tiny bit of blood this weekend, once after sex and earlier tonight when trying (and failing, sorry tmi) to do a poo!Literally just some on tp but no pain or different sensations at all. I read somewhere that being pg can kind of change your cervix or something. Anyway I'm genuinely not worried and from what you've said I don't think you need to be either. I know it's as anxious time though so hugs xx

I've been getting low back ache quite a lot n my right hip's hurting a bit. Have injured it many times in the past when I ran a lot so it's probably that. Don't know what excuse my stupid back has got though! Got physio letter through on Friday so hopefully can see them soon. Bit worried about having back ache for the next 6 months...

OP posts:
Futterby · 16/06/2013 19:14

Was just about to say exactly that Holly :) if it helps, I had debilitating back pain from 7 - 11 weeks (couldn't walk some days) and one visit to the physio sorted me right out :)

Sure it's nothing to worry about music Flowers you might want to relax and avoid dtd though, just in case Flowers

AuroraOrtiz · 16/06/2013 19:30

Fingers crossed for you music.

Am feeling really grumpy - spent the entire morning in A&E - got an eye infection - I woke up looking like I've been punched in the face! Am having to take antibiotic tablets three times a day for five days - I told the doctor I'm 12 weeks pregnant so he looked them up and it said 'not known to be harmful' - which doesn't sound as good as 'no risk' - what if 'not known' just means no one pregnant has taken them?! But I suppose they will be ok.

Also had the worst heart burn yesterday evening - at first I thought it might be my bra but I took it off and was still in agony for hours. I don't normally get it - is anyone else getting it? I thought it was something you got late on in pregnancy - not this early?

Futterby · 16/06/2013 19:52

[Aurora], sometimes that happens because they can't test medicines on pregnant woman because it's unethical, but they wouldn't give you it if it was unsafe. You'll be fine :) I had heartburn early on but not now, I got this gloopy white liquid from the docs that smelled lovely and minty but actually tasted like phlegm so I gave it a bye Confused
