MrsGSR · 05/06/2013 22:31

:( humpty I hope tomorrow is a better day

Mac2014 · 05/06/2013 22:33

missm the biggest of hugs. So sorry to hear your news. Xx

extracrunchy · 05/06/2013 22:47

Sultanajo you're ahead of me now!! Lovely to hear re scan. So exciting!

I still haven't had 12 week scan appointment and am now 10+4. Should I be worried...?

curlywurlyllass · 06/06/2013 05:56

Im still petrified to post here in case things go wrong.
My heart goes out to those ladies that have sadly left us already- I've been in your shoes 3 times n its so hard

im counting the sleeps till my next scan with fear-was dated much later than i thought last week and i hope my next scan goes better (c'mon monday!)
So good to read that lots of you have had positive scans

Ive chuckled at some posts these last few weeks cuntpuffin awesome!!! and those sneaky not walking till busted toddlers! Cant wait to have stories of my own :)

Im trying to be more positive and look past the next few days, ive even watched a few OBEM's as ive never let myself watch them for fear of jinxing things over the past few years. Tuesday night tv is such an education/eye opener!!!

hope those with M/all day/sickness are managing to find some respite and edible foods

And those with job stress have an easier time. My nightshifts have just become easier as the client thats always high and challenging has been moved- next stress is coping with those pesky seagulls pregnancy rage that take joy in nesting on the roof (thought it was an intruder till one slid down the open window, i needed a tena lady!!)
Never been so exhausted in all my life!

Anyways, thinking of you all and look forward to chatting more

Curly x

Sultanajo · 06/06/2013 08:11

Thanks toby and extra. When did u have yr booking in appointment extra? My scan date came thru around a week after booking in....x

Sultanajo · 06/06/2013 08:15

curly I know what u mean about not wanting to jinx things, but like u I have started to do a few things I wouldnt normally. I bought some under bump maternity jeans, because even my "fat" jeans hurt me at the moment and these are soooo comfy! So now I can wear jeans again! Did worry I was jinxing things, but decided to try to put those thoughts out of my mind.

Fingers crossed for your next scan on Monday! Grin

Sultanajo · 06/06/2013 08:16

Yeay fidget! Scan date thru - how exciting!

humpty what a cuntpuffin!!! Really hope today is a better day for u xxx

TobyLerone · 06/06/2013 08:35

I bought some underbump jeans, too. But sadly they're too big for me. And all my other clothes don't fit. So I'm stuck!

extracrunchy · 06/06/2013 08:37

Hmm had booking appointment at 8 weeks but still no scan letter..?

extracrunchy · 06/06/2013 08:41

Curlywurly I got under bump jeans too! Thought I could buy in the lower size of the two I'm in between since the tummy's elasticated anyway. Turns out I couldn't..!

extracrunchy · 06/06/2013 08:42

(Cos of my newly bodacious bum, which is mostly made of peanut butter)

bluecarrot · 06/06/2013 09:22

Crunchy- I'd get in touch with the hospital. I think all scans at this stage are between 10-13 weeks and you will need to arrange time off work so I think you are far enough along to warrant a call. :)

extracrunchy · 06/06/2013 09:28

Carrot I think you're right...
I'm just conscious of being a pain - last time was at a midwife appointment and saw her write VERY ANXIOUS MOTHER across the page. I wasn't aware I was being at all anxious Blush

MrsAVB · 06/06/2013 09:59

Morning all!
rosa FX for your scan this morning, let us know how it goes!
choco how are you doing today? Just want the vomming to stop! Have to travel for a family thing this weekend and am dreading the vomming and hiding the vomming. Especially since everyone will be talking about the other pg person...
medusa so sorry... Hope you are feeling ok and that a d&c won't be necessary. Lots of love, take it easy xxx Flowers
tooth good luck with thinking about the job(s) you've been offered. I was offered a new job a couple of weeks back and it was really hard to come to a decision (I decided to stay put), and made me feel really GRR about being a woman and having to make these kind of decisions. I'd say if it works out financially and you think you would be happier there, and not too stressed out during pregnancy, then go for it! Or use the headhunting to negotiate something better where you are?
humpty CUNTPUFFINS and COCKWOMBLES! Hope you have a better day today and DH is behaving.
sultana lovely scan story, very exciting! Holly or Noel? Wink.
I still weigh less than I did when I got my BFP. Lost 5lbs in the first few weeks but have put on a couple in the last 2. But I do feel like some lard has migrated from my love handles to my tummy... Everything still fits but had to undo the top button of my tightest work trousers yesterday (although have had to do this before I was pg too Blush)
Have a good day everyone!
X

Sultanajo · 06/06/2013 10:11

toby the jeans are a big for me too but am hoping a belt will take up the slack. Gonna try them later today....

Just discovered the most refreshing ice lollies EVER! Tesco Finest Pink Lady Apple and Elderflower! Gone down very nicely!

Have put on 2lbs in the last week - hoping some of that is pregnancy related rather than mini cheddars related!

mrsavb I really feel for u. We have family evening gatherings for the next two werkends and evenings are when I am at my worst. However, at least I am not actually vomming - I think u r very brave!

extra I would definitely call up to check on your scan date just in case. I think its very much warranted now!

TobyLerone · 06/06/2013 10:14

Oh, MrsAVB, I wouldn't go. I am a big wuss. I'd say I had a bug.

Sultana, you keep tempting me with these apple flavoured things! They sound delicious and I may have to break my Tesco embargo to get some.

extracrunchy · 06/06/2013 10:19

Those lollies sound yum!!

Just rang ultrasound - apparently scan is between 12 and 14 weeks and they send letters out the week before. LAME.

MrsAVB · 06/06/2013 10:19

sultana those lollies sound great.
I am really tempted not to go this weekend. It would be ok if ppl knew, but I just don't feel ready to tell yet... X

extracrunchy · 06/06/2013 10:40

I wouldn't go MrsA... Tummy bug or something!

Gabbyj · 06/06/2013 10:41

Sultana - those lollies do sound fab! and MrsAVB - I would also be a coward and say I had a bug - good luck!

Have got proper pregnancy grumpymones at the moment - not helped by my line manager "announcing" my news in passing at a meeting at work. Am struggling very hard not to have a complete stampy tantrum. She actually said beforehand, this is a secret, but... Honestly, she's a nurse - you'd think they'd know about blooming discretion Angry - I only know because one of the managers came and gave me the heads up afterwards!

Sorry - bit ranty!!!

Sultanajo · 06/06/2013 10:50

Gabby grrrr! Thats really out of order! Not surprised you are grumpy! Angry

mrsavb I too would wimp out! Am such a wuss!

extra that is totally lame but I guess at least u know they havent forgotten you!

Toby the lollies are really mildly flavoured! May have to go and get some more today....Grin

MrsMLB · 06/06/2013 11:00

Hey all :-)
Newbie here - EDD 27th Jan....not seeing midwife till the 18th and this is my first so here to do some good reading :-B

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 06/06/2013 11:06

MrsG thank you.

extra that is lame. Very lame. Also 12-14 weeks - isn't there a test you have to have before 13 weeks? The NT? Or am I misremembering? Bloody NHS. So late with everything.

curly hello! Welcome.

underbump jeans hmmmm, yes, I think I could go for those. The old hairband 'expander' trick is starting to be too little extra, so I might go for that. Do you get your normal (!) size?

MrsAVB hope you get through the weekend okay, I don't envy you that. My lovely mate (who already knows) invited me for Sunday lunch, I turned green, she hastily retracted the invite! It's not easy (being green...)

sultana those lollies sound amazing. Mmmmmmmm.

DH is still being a cockwomble. He came home pissed again last night, after not bothering to let me know he was going to be out. I'd been to see a friend, and would have stayed for dinner if I'd known he was out, but he didn't bother to let me know.

This happens constantly. He claims his phone died - it didn't because a) I rang it and it rang (i.e. not straight to voicemail) and b) after leaving him a shitty 'where are you' message, he coincidentally five minutes later borrowed a colleague's phone to call me and let me know he was out. Hmm

He then woke me up when he got home, and I stormed off to the spare room in a huff to get some sleep - when he's pissed, he snores and groans and thrashes all night.

Then today he sends me a lame 'oh, yeah, sorry I've been a bit rubbish email with a link to a Telegraph story about pregnancy. I am so not impressed. I deliberately woke him v early this morning by crashing about. I intend to ignore and torture him for the rest of the week. Bastard. Next week is my most stressful week of the whole year and I don't need a week of being knackered in the run up.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 06/06/2013 11:07

Gabby that's a horrible thing to do, I would be Angry too.

rosalux · 06/06/2013 11:23

Just got back from my scan and all is well Smile. Bean2 (DS was Bean) is in the right place and there is a heartbeat and he/she is measuring 11.2mm which is about right for the dates I gave. Feeling much more positive and have made booking in appt for 27 June (you self refer to our midwives), so am going to try to hold off on another scan until 12wks+.

Off to make some breadsticks for DS (who is at childminders today - joy) and move boxes around the house again so the decorators can start on DS' room next week.

Humpty really feel for you with your DH. When I found out I was pregnant with DS it was shortly before xmas and my DH went out to his work drinks the next day and got steaming drunk and rolled in at 2am with a cut face (he claimed to have fallen in the snow!) and I had to take him to A&E the next day. I was so cross I just left him there and he had to make his own way home. I then spent the rest of xmas on the sofa watching Downton Abbey and demanding back rubbing. I think he's just about been forgiven.
