Well, I have totally caved and booked an early scan for tomorrow morning when I will be 7+1 by my calculations. I am both relieved and insanely nervous. FX.

Toby this happened to a friend of mine too. Her son is 20mths now and only just starting to take some tentative steps, so she thought. Then she went into the kitchen one day and returning to the living room a few seconds later, saw him quite happily toddling about. Busted!

Toothfairy I've put on about 6lb in the 3 weeks since I got my bfp (just under 3 weeks actually) Blush. I don't know what I put on last time since I threw the scales away shortly prior to my booking in appt (which was around 11 wks I think) and didn't step on any again for over a year. Don't stress though: 4 months after DS was born I was back to my pre-preg weight (9st 7) and size 10 jeans (then I fell of the wagon spectacularly, but that's a whole other story).

I bought a huge amount of salt and vinegar snack a jacks today on the basis that this craving is clearly not going anywhere fast and they are marginally better than the actual crisps i have been stuffing myself with (among other things).

TobyLerone · 05/06/2013 14:53

They're sneaky little buggers, aren't they? :o

Good luck for your scan tomorrow, rosa.

Sick sick sick sick sick sick sick sick sick sick sick sick sick SICK. That is all :(

MissMedusa · 05/06/2013 17:31

Hi ladies, unfortunately I have to leave the thread :(

I had it confirmed on Sunday that the embryo stopped growing at between 6-7 weeks and we no longer had a heartbeat. The doctor said the embryo was an odd shape with extra parts so suspects it was twins which hadn't separated properly. Another doctor didn't see it that way so who knows. I've been spotting for over 2 weeks, just a small amount and always brown but it has started to get a little heavier now. Now I just hope to be able to pass it naturally as I had to have a D&C last time and I really don't want to do that again.

It has been nice chatting with you all and sharing this (brief) experience with you.

TobyLerone · 05/06/2013 17:36

I'm sorry, MissM :(

Toothfairy78 · 05/06/2013 19:18

Argh! So, I'm 9+2 pregnant after over a year of ttc. Been stuck in a rubbish job for yonks and resigned myself to staying after maternity leave plus a bit, then rethinking my career...

I have suddenly started getting headhunted, quite persistently. Why now??

TobyLerone · 05/06/2013 19:23

Take the job, toothfairy!

sarahleanne · 05/06/2013 19:23

Well had the final private scan today and it was like nothing I had ever experienced before! In just two weeks bean has gone from a blob to a proper little person who wriggled, kicked and punched most of the time! Absolutely gobsmacked! They have put me forward by 5 days too so am now 10+5 & due 27th December! However I will be sticking around with you lovely lot if thats ok? Grin

Yonionekanobe · 05/06/2013 20:40

Hi everyone - thread four Shock

MissM so, so sorry to hear your news. Thanks

Welcome to all those who have joined. Blue, what inspiring and brave posts, Gabby what a wonderful surprise and Laura so glad your OH is excited and Hekkie, Sammie hope you are both well and enjoying these early weeks.

I've been offline a bit as everything including scrolling through threads is making me feel sick! I'm also getting round ligament pain when I stand up too quickly which seems earlier than with DD. At ten weeks now and need to look through my maternity clothes already! I seem to have all the symptoms including some attractive spots this time round. All worth it in the end though.

Pod how are you? Any better? choco sorry to hear you're still suffering too.

sarahleanne symptoms fading in and out can be really worrying but is normal. I'm constantly prodding Blush

Toothfairy if the finances work (ie not being eligible for full mat leave pay) take the job! Sounds like a good opportunity to move.

Penny, enjoyingscience. I'm another one who cries on my boss! Luckily he was great and very supportive.

Toby love that story about your nephew - toddlers are so cunning!

Sultana your prune story made me laugh - I did similar today with a date!

farmersdaughter · 05/06/2013 21:13
