Found out about this yesterday and thought you may all be interested. I am signing up as you get your own personal MW and they see you more often and whenever you want. Also all appointments are home based up until 7/8pm. It's a new trail been done by the NHS

Oh pea hope you feel better soon. I'm so glad I haven't had hg or even been sick as I really don't have 6lb spare & would have ended up in hospital.

Thanks for the tip on the tankini betty. I think I'm a bit early for their proper maternity one but there is another normal one that I reckon will work for a trimester at least (as its my first & I don't expect to show very early fx - 10 wks now & still in my skinny jeans). It was more the increased boobage causing issues!

mrs vdb I bought my DP that book too! He's taken it away with him this weekend but who knows if he'll read it. Shouldn't actually need it as its his second but his ex sounds like a robot who exhibited no symptom or emotion throughout the whole thing Hmm

LittlePeaPod · 15/06/2013 08:11

Thanks Frog. I ended up in hospital a few weeks back. It's not pleasant. Really chuffed putting weight back on as I too can't afford to lose any. Only 5ft 3ish and BMI normally on the low range of healthy...

With regards swimwear. I am going to try and get away with my normal bikinis when we go on holiday in a couple weeks. I am actually looking forward to showing off bump in a bikini in a few months... Dies that make me wired? Hmm

Good luck today, pod!

Hope your conference isn't too hideous, humpty.

I could have done with losing a bit of weight. I hsve

Vatta · 15/06/2013 08:37

LittlePeaPod - that one to one midwives thing looks amazing, shame it's only on the Wirral so far - hopefully it will spread!

TobyLerone · 15/06/2013 08:39

Grrr stupid phone.

I have about 2 stone spare if anyone wants it!

Telling the fam went very well, thanks. Didn't want to tell so soon, but it's a bit of a relief.

I should have had my 12 week scan this coming weds, but I changed it for the following week to make sure it was properly accurate.

Family BBQ later. Hopefully won't feel too sick...

LittlePeaPod · 15/06/2013 08:44

Vetta it does sound amazing. I am over in Yorkshire but they said they may see me. So sounds like its spreading already..

Toby I will take a stone. Smile. Great news on you telling the family..

Woken up completely ravenous, so hoping I can eat today. Gotta find some black trousers for tomorrow night and having my hair cut this evening and then DHs mate is over tonight. Good luck pod for your scan and humpty for the conference!

sultanajo fx you can eat today!

We're going home next weekend and will be telling family, I'm debating trying to get a private scan this week just to make sure all is ok since our last one 2 weeks ago!

Mythreeknights · 15/06/2013 11:34

Hi ladies. Sorry to hear your news Specific, I hope you are ok.
Well since tues last week I have had a dicky tummy...ended up flying to London at 7am on thurs morning (so got up at 4.15 am) getting to my work do, feeling utterly awful, nausea kicking in times a million by early afternoon, and held it together until 7pm when I managed to slip away, feeling more and more dreadful until I got to my friends house where I had about ten minutes before the most awful cramps, seriously painful shooting sweat inducoing pain, had diahorrhea, felt better, had bath went to bed. Had to get up at seven, go back to work event, have big meeting, not eat anything, feeling faint, sick and dodgy tummy still, get back to airport, fly back to scotland, drive home 10pm last night, had more bad diahorrhea and went to bed. now feeling understandably shattered, still have diahorrhea, but shitting myself that I have either listeria or toxoplasmosis. No fever, no sore throat, nothing that bad so I am just being paranoid but need some reassurance. I wish all I had now was morning sickness to worry about! But on the positive side, I had my first mw appt and have my scan booked in for 9 July.

MrsVDB · 15/06/2013 12:29

knights I've had a bad tummy throughout. Find if I go out "drinking" I end up either drinking too much juice or sugary soft drinks which ends up in dodgy tummy. Other times nothing particular sets it off. I also went to doctors with food poisoning in week 4/5 as couldn't eat or drink for 5 days and doctor said its fine and nothing I could take. Try diaralyte

MrsVDB · 15/06/2013 12:30

sultan very jealous of 12 weeks!! I'm only 9 w today

Mythreeknights · 15/06/2013 12:42

Mrsvdb, how long did it take to get throughg your system and did you fast at all?

MrsVDB · 15/06/2013 12:48

Oops getting carried away I'm only 8 w today!!

Food poisoning I was on the loo every half an hour for 5 days so doesn't sound like you have that thank goodness. Didn't fast, ate the odd cracker but not much else.

The upset tummy I have every few days and still do. I think that is hormones, a bit like morning sickness

BuntCadger · 15/06/2013 13:02

Not happy, got scan through for NT and the idiots have booked it for 19th July when ill be 16-17 weeks. Clearly they have miss entered my dates by a whole month

alteredimages · 15/06/2013 13:25

Sorry you've been unwell knights, that's so rubbish. I got food poisoning when I was about 35 weeks with DD and it was awful.

bunt that is so annoying. Arghh!!! is all I'd really be capable of saying in your position. Come to France, it's much better here.

Woo! Twelve weeks sultana! So exciting! I thought I would be twelve weeks tomorrow but at the scan last week they put me back two days so it won't be til Tuesday. I really want to get the first trimester over with cos it's been rubbish but I think I'll be too chicken to tell family I'm pregnant anyway. In laws already know because they were in need of cheering up but worried about my dad's reaction.

In other news, DD overheard me and DH discussing pregnancy and informed us matter of factly that she has a baby in her thigh...Hmm
