Hello again all
Thanks for your kind words - it is completley terrifying and exicting all at the same time.
I am trying to catch up with you all, but I think I haven't posted since thread #2 (have been VERY sick) and so I am wondering where to start

I saw cosmic's sad news- hugs to you
Will try and read a bit more and come back.

BabyshamBambi456 · 12/06/2013 16:07

Thanks everyone. MrsGSR I would love a nap right now, I've got a late meeting at work and will be here until 8! Envy Smile x

Penny31 · 12/06/2013 16:09

Does anyone else start the day with a relatively flat stomach and then by the end of the day have a definite bump that's hard to hide?? Is this normal?

Naturegirl82 · 12/06/2013 16:25

Penny31 I seem to have a permanent bump. Pretty sure mine is related to a lack of exercise rather than anything baby related Sad (stupid sports injury!). I am struggling to find tops to cover my bazookas though. They weren't small to start with and a large increase in size has left me struggling to find tops in my wardrobe to cover my stomach now Sad .

chocoloulou33 · 12/06/2013 16:27

Loving your definition of 'glowing' sultana I must be glowing too Grin
Well I've finally had my scan date thru & its at 13 weeks not 12, sob! So an extra week to wait! 1st july, the countdown is now on! X

Mac2014 · 12/06/2013 17:30

mrsgsr sultana mrsavb vatta fx for race for life and thanks for your comments. I'm about to head off there now.

very I am so not glowing, unless my oil slick of a face catches the light.

penny I look about 4 months by the end of the day!!

babysham welcome (waves)

I need to catch up properly but hope you are all feeling ok and surviving the vomit onslaught. Xxx

MrsGSR · 12/06/2013 18:17

Good luck mac!

carrotcakecupcake · 12/06/2013 18:44

Goodness, I miss a couple days and there's so much to catch up on!
crabapple congratulations, one of my best friends had twins almost a year ago and they are AMAZING!
I'm also doing the race for life in a couple weeks with people from work, dreading getting overly emotional without being able to explain why!
Someone mentioned that emotions peak at week 10...really hope that's not the case as I have to do a presentation the the Board of Directors at work next Tues, which also happens to be my ten weeks markConfused
With regards to drinking, I had great success with a short glass of soda water and slice of lime on one night out.

Toothfairy78 · 12/06/2013 19:05

penny my belly is so fat by the end of the day I look about 4 months. Mysteriously I deflate by the morning down to a reasonable size. Oh well, my new under bump jeans and probiotic yoghurts are my friends these days! The odd cup of fennel tea followed by 'going for a walk' helps too! Grin

Penny31 · 12/06/2013 19:12

Ah I stopped the probiotic drinks because they made me sick but I think I could face them again now, I will try them!

I think I will also start venturing back to the gym soon to. I was determined to keep that up but I underestimated the tiredness. :(

Frizz1986 · 12/06/2013 20:12

Wow, i havent been on since sometime yesterday (cant remember when) and there are a million posts!

Crazy news crab it will be awsome tho. My mum is a twin and is very close to her brother!

So sorry to read cosmics news. Hope that you look after yourself and next time the outcome is better.

Cant remember what else people have posted! My mind is just rubbish atm.
choco my scan is July 1st too at 8:30am. First one of the day even tho i know they will already be running late. I will be bang on 12 weeks so think i have been lucky. Am wishing the days away as really want to know if all is well (even tho 9 week scan was fine) and want to tell people. I am pretty sure everyone in the office knows anyway tho!

Had a v bad day yesterday. Felt the worst I have ever felt. Felt sick all day, and all eve. Nothing I ate seemed to shift it. Then tried to snooze on the sofa and couldnt settle. Was boiling hot, uncomfortable and still felt sick.
Have felt fairly sick today but am going to try to have a snooze now.

Really feel for those vomming as I am struggling with just nausea.

omama · 12/06/2013 20:44

Wow not been on in a while & far too many posts to read so only scanned the last page or so!

cosmic - so sorry to hear your sad news. Take care & hope to see you back on these boards soon.

crab - exciting stuff!!! No doubt they'll be a handful but I bet it'll be truly amazing to see them grow up & interact together!

chocco & frizz - my scan date is 1st july too! I'll be 12+4. It does seem dead late this time, am sure I was only just 11wks at my last one. It'll soon come round!

Still struggling with tiredness. Ds has dropped his nap so zero down time during the day - am completely shattered by the time dh gets home from work! Thankful I'm only having a little nausea, sounds like a lot of you are having a really rough ride. Take care everyone.xx

Bikey86 · 12/06/2013 21:57

I can relate to the bloating thing...feel bigger and bigger as the day goes on. It seems that my so called morning sickness is actually mild nausea during the day which can be managed by grazing like a cow (as someone else pointed out earlier in the thread) and turns into sea sick nausea just before I go to bed!! Weird. Can't complain though...at least its not actual vomming.

Mac2014 · 12/06/2013 22:16

I did the race for life ... Whoop! I ended up having to tell the girl I ended up running with that I'm 10+1 ... She kept trying to get me to run faster and I ended up blurting it out. Ah well, she was lovely about it,

Thanks for all the online cheering carrot good luck for yours!!

Off to my pit now exhausted - night all x

curlywurlyllass · 12/06/2013 23:15

So sorry cosmic, thought i read someone else had sad news too, thinking of you x

Crab congratulations! I found out last month that identical twins run in dp's side of the family- cousin and great gran have twins!! Just the one for us tho

Farmerswife, hope today went well

My 12 week scan i will b almost 13weeks :( and my booking appointment is at the 'local' hospital 50mins drive, not my local med centre 10mins drive. Is this what happens to everyone?

Thinking of u all, in the middle of a row of 12hr shifts, all i seem to do is sleep get woken by dp grrrr wee, wash and work
Hope you all feel better soon
Xx

MrsGSR · 12/06/2013 23:33

I'm going to be 13 weeks at my scan, which is my own fault as I'm away at my dad's when I'm 12 weeks!

itsonlyapapermoon · 13/06/2013 01:23

Had my first scan on Tuesday. Was supposed to be to check for Down Syndrome, but the receptionist had had booked me in 2 weeks too early-I was only 10+4! My husband came along and was awestruck at the scan-it's all become real to him now! (We have my 3 children from my 1st marriage, but this is his first baby). Fortunately, because they got the dates wrong, I didn't have to pay the full amount, and the next scan (on the 25th) will get bulk-billed. I'm lucky to be one that doesn't get morning sickness, just nausea. Night-time seems to be the worst but for the past 2 days it seems to have subsided and I'm getting my energy back. Whew!

EmBeEmBe · 13/06/2013 06:27

Hello all! Can I join? I'm due on 1 Jan! Bit of a surprise at my scan this week, I thought I was less pregnant than I actually am - delighted as it means the dreaded first trimester is over sooner. My 15 mo DD has already learnt how to make puking noises!!!

extracrunchy · 13/06/2013 08:34

Welcome EmBe! Congratulations Grin

4athomeand1cooking · 13/06/2013 09:05

Morning everyone

So sorry for your loss cosmic

Good to see many of you are feeling better. I am lucky I do not suffer MS just slight waves of dizziness.

The one thing driving me mad is smells. The Gel at the scan is the worst and the thought turns my stomach. If my cat is in the house it feels like he is sitting on my nose. And my poor DH has been banned from passing wind EVER!!

extracrunchy · 13/06/2013 09:33

4athome I'm with you! Can't stand anyone's breath at the moment, DH's shower gel, my shower gel, anything meaty, petrol... Oh god baked beans... Just turns my stomach!

bettyboo83 · 13/06/2013 10:12

Hi everyone and welcome to the new girls. I had my booking appt yesterday which went well. She did my bloods and paperwork and booked my scan for 3rd July when I'll be exactly 12 weeks. I have to have a GTT at 28 weeks as my grandma was diabetic. Has anyone thought about where they want to have their babies? I had DS is hospital but quite fancy a home birth this time.

extracrunchy · 13/06/2013 11:04

Betty I was wondering about home birth... Seems like a nice idea but also the idea of not having emergency stuff available freaks me out! Tricky.

Penny31 · 13/06/2013 11:13

I'm in a bit of a panic. I've woke. Up with sore and swollen ankle this morning so I rang the midwife. She said at 11.5 weeks its unusual but not impossible to have DVT. I have to go and see the doctor and if he is worried he will send me to a&e for DVT scan. Have to ring my GP at 12 for an appointment. Thinking all sorts now! I do have an explainable bruise that has appeared further up my leg too.

TobyLerone · 13/06/2013 11:13

Hi all.

Betty, I would love a home birth, but they've just discovered I have fibroids, and that means a HB is definitely out :( They'll scan me later in pregnancy to see where they are and whether they've grown. Then they'll decide whether they want to give me a CS or whether I can have a VB.

Hi new people :) It's so nice that we've still got newbies joining us!

Tonight is the big family dinner, and so the big reveal. I'm a bit sad that it won't just be a secret for me, DH and the DC any more. And I've still got no idea how to tell them!
