toby my nausea starts at 3pm too. It's so regular I could set my watch by it & it makes no difference what time I eat lunch or what I have. It's not bad just irritating.

We told told DPs parents & I'm telling other people on a need to know basis. It's earlier than I would like but with my redundancy I'm going to have to explain why I'm not looking for a new permanent job. Made the mistake of telling my hairdresser at her new salon at the weekend. Turns out her boss was earwigging, she recognised me but I don't know her, texts her best mate who texts my DPs best mate as she dated him once. Luckily DPs best mate knew but I couldn't believe it!

LOL at buttons hitting cats btw!!

Gabbyj · 10/06/2013 22:27

Hi all. Been a bit rubbish this weekend. Can't believe how tired I am and managed to spice things up a bit by having a proper dizzy spell at the Mary rose museum yesterday! I like to keep things exciting. Have been lucky enough just to have nausea so far though, had severe sickness last time when I had dd and remember how miserable it was - I really feel for all of you who are suffering!

Am 6 + 3 and already gone up a dress size, which is slightly too tight. I can't wear jeans as can't bear to have anything around my waist. Is it too early to get maternity jeans do you think? I feel kind of superstitious about it as well, wanted to wait until after 12 week scan...

Phoned to make booking appointment today and was told I would be contacted by text before 11 weeks! Oh well, back to the waiting game...

extracrunchy · 10/06/2013 22:49

Yoni lots of things I've read say MS usually peaks at 10 weeks so hopefully next week you'll feel loads better.

Also know what you mean about post birth sweats - I looked like I'd just got out of the shower all the time! Gross!

bettyboo83 · 11/06/2013 01:15

Well I'd been lucky in just having a persistent hangover feeling but now I don't appear to be able to brush my teeth without vomming Sad My nausea is in the evening too, def time for a name change from morning sickness!

Madratlady · 11/06/2013 05:03

Hi ladies I haven't posted in a while but this morning I had some bleeding. Only a tiny bit when I wiped after going for a wee bit I'm quite scared. I'm 8 weeks exactly today. I think I might have to take the day off work to go to my gp otherwise I will spend the whole shift worrying.

LittlePeaPod · 11/06/2013 07:04

madrat sorry to yea of the spotting. Would definetly call you GP or call you EPU and see if you an get a reassuarance scan... Lots of ladies on ere have had spotting between the 6 and 10 week mark... Flowers

My thoughts with those feeling poorly... Morning sickness is a rubbish name for it... I have felt like that from the minute I wake up till I go to bed every day for he last 4 weeks.... I have lost 7lbs. It's shit.

Madratlady · 11/06/2013 07:22

My local EPU need a gp referral so I hope my gp will send me there. I'm just tired and tearful and worried this morning. I hope it turns out to be nothing

LittlePeaPod · 11/06/2013 07:46

Madrat. I am sure your GP will refer you under the circumstances. Hopefully the spotting has stopped and yes it is such a worrying time for you.

MrsVDB · 11/06/2013 07:51

Going to epu today as doctor said I can just turn up and they will scan me due to partial septate uterus. Looking online you need a referral so hope they see me.

Need to get my blood tests done anyway so won't be a wasted trip.

No night sweats here, still in my fleecy pjs!

lovelilies · 11/06/2013 07:55

madrat hope all is ok.

lol at the fleecy pyjamas, I'm wearing the bottoms, but vest on top! cold legs and sweaty top half!!

Bloated tummy today and constipated Sad

extracrunchy · 11/06/2013 08:18

Madrat hope all goes well today x

farmersdaughter · 11/06/2013 08:43

Ohhhh I have a bloated tummy and constipated too love arghhh it's horrid. Hitting the OJ to try and get something moving.

Off shortly to have scrumptious gorgeousness cuddles with a 4 day old baby!!! I'm sure I told you that my friends DC was born sleeping last year at 40 wks. So I am fully expecting to blub like a big girl, when I see them. Can't wait, so excited.

Hope everyone has a good day x

Frizz1986 · 11/06/2013 08:47

madrat hope ur gp refers u and all is well. The ladies are right with trying to stay calm and see someone. I had a total freak out after brown discharge at my 8 week mark.
I got myself a private scan at the weekend and all was fine.

I am currently sat at work munching on grapes and drinking milk as feel v sick this morn. Am also wearing trousers that I can't quite zip to the top! (i hope they don't fall down when I stand up, but i was in my size bigger ones yesterday and I swear they made me look proper pg)

One of my work friends is coming in to visit today (she is on mat leave atm as had her 1st in jan). Really want to tell her as we had so many chats about kids etc before she left, but have already told everyone dh said I was allowed to.
She is gonna bring the little one in so I can't wait!

farmersdaughter · 11/06/2013 09:08

madrat thinking of you x Take the day off work, go get everything checked out, nothing worse than worrying if you don't have too.

Hugs x

BuntCadger · 11/06/2013 09:59

madrat hope all goes ok today for you

enormouse lol at the car hitting Grin made me chuckle

gabby I live outskirts of new forest, Southampton side. Are you down south too or just visiting?

The spotting/brown cm cleared up now fingers crossed. Still aching but i think there's a growth spurt around now. It's just so scary when it happens.

Dh on way to airport and not back till v late on Thursday. Going to miss him, but the kids will especially.

BuntCadger · 11/06/2013 09:59

Cat not car grrr silly fingers

Madratlady · 11/06/2013 10:06

I'm booked into EPU for a scan on Thursday morning. Just have to wait till then to find out if everything is ok. Going to have to go on my own because DH isn't going to be able to take time off this week.

alteredimages · 11/06/2013 10:12

Thinking of you madrat and hope they see you at the EPU mrsv. Flowers

I've got my scan first thing Thursday morning and beginning to feel nervous... The scan at the gynaecologists was good because I didn't know if have one so no time to stress beforehand! I had also convinced myself I'd made then pregnancy up and was trying to think up how to save face. I have decided not to have an amniocentesis or CVS if anything shows up in the scan. Expecting the femur length to be a bit short anyway. Dh and dd have weirdly short femurs and upper arms.

I have regular food babies and none of my clothes fit comfortably though the bloating does vary at different times of the day. Clothes are also all wintery and I'm in the south of France. Counting down the days til I'm within easy reach of cheap UK clothes!

alteredimages · 11/06/2013 10:15

We'll be scan twins madrat! It sucks having to wait but a lot of us have had some bleeding and the vast majority have been fine. I won't say try not to worry so I'll just send you Biscuit Brew and Flowers instead.

Do you have a really good friend who could go with you Thurs if dh can't make it?

VeryHappyMama · 11/06/2013 10:30

Hi just joining the thread have first midwife appointment next week. Won't get a scan until July.
Have many people had scans already ?

LittlePeaPod · 11/06/2013 10:47

madrat great to hear you have your scan booked. Hope the spotting has stopped.

MrsV hope you get your scan today...

Veryhappy congratulations on your BFP. [Flwers] With regards scans some of us have payed for private scans before our first 12 NHS scan, some of the ladies have had reassurance scans due to spotting and others have chosen to wait for the 12 week NHS scan. It's a real mixed bag really.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 11/06/2013 10:57

mythree, sultana & toby I am struggling on. I managed to smile and say good morning today, despite feeling like barfing. [halo emoticon]

toby I am battling hayfever too. If you go to GPs, apparently they can prescribe Piriton - HTH. Also, I was rubbish at telling both 'rentals. With Mum I said 'you're going to be a Great Mum - in fact, a GRANDmum' and she was like 'um, huh? Hmm'. With Dad I bumbled something about how I was hoping he would be happy, but maybe he wouldn't be, but anyway, he was going to be a grandad, so I hoped that was okay. Apparently in both cases, it was Grin.

yy to the night sweats and NO CUDDLING made me Grin. My DH gets about 1.5 mins of cuddling then he has to bugger off. Also, I get v nauseous in the morning, fine at lunchtime and then nauseous again in the evening.

enormouse I bought some maternity jeans in my normal size (I have three pairs from different shops, all in this size, two fit okay, one is loose) and they wouldn't go over my thighs. Fecking JoJoMamanBeBe shit. Don't they know pg women are even more irrational than usual? I nearly cut them up with scissors.

extra that's appalling. Did you point out that certain tests need to be done at certain times?? I am sorry to hear this, and Angry on your behalf.
fryingpan how does the computer take TWO WEEKS to be up to date. My kindle updates in 5 seconds. FFS.

yoni I hope it tails off soon - I feel worse than ever this week (9+4).

madrat fingers crossed all will be okay for you. Take it easy, lady.

Mythreeknights · 11/06/2013 11:27

I totally agree with everyone who has been suffering from mid-afternoon/early evening sickness. I love my mornings as I feel normal but start to descend to the slightly panty gaspy nausea by about 3pm, go completely off food but conversely feel I should eat to stop it (what's that all about?) Having just got rid of our cockerell (yes, we live in the sticks), I've had my first un-interrupted night sleep in about 12 months. Should have done it sooner, funny that it took me falling pg before seeing the light. Bed is bliss. Still fitting clothes ok but then again am only 8 weeks, which is a good thing as I have a mahoosive corporate event on Thurs and Fri where I need to negotiate a large sponsorship deal which I'm shitting myself about, not least the part where everyone has a drink to celebrate / comiserate. Does the "I'm on antibiotics" line hold or should I just have a drink??

enormouse · 11/06/2013 11:39

Glad to hear about your scan madrat
veryhappymama my booking appointment is 1st of July and my scan is 2 weeks later. And welcome!
humptydumptybumpty am suffering badly with the hay fever too. Have you tried that balm you put near your nostrils to block pollen? Luckily the temps dropped here so pollen count has gone down. Also great for my DS who is one of those kids that can't bear heat.
I hate maternity wear. I'm very petite (5ft2 and a size 6/8) and nothing seems to be made for for the more pocket sized among us. I went into mothercare almost 2 years ago and left practically in tears.

I feel really nauseous today (currently 7+6) and I can't bear the thought of doing anything at all. Or eating anything
