Hi everyone, just taking a while to catch up on all the news.

Was housesitting this weekend and I'm so glad to be in my own home again. DPs parents house is gorgeous in a country living kind of way. But full of cats, dogs and dust and my skin is really sensitive during pg so it was 3 days of itchy hell. And toddlermouse went completely bonkers being in an unfamiliar place and being surrounded by pets and is now completely out of his routine. But apart from that, I had a great time as the house has a huge kitchen with an aga, full of gadgets and le creuset pans.

Depressingly, I burst my skinny jeans today. Pulled them on and the button shot off and hit a cat.

Hope everyone is ok x Smile

MrsGSR · 10/06/2013 17:41

enormouse sorry but the bit about hitting a cat made me laugh! I'm out of my skinny jeans to, it's depressing and kind of exciting!

TobyLerone · 10/06/2013 17:50

I'm wearing my maternity jeans today because I feel so sick and the waistband on everything else is making it worse. Having to wear a belt with them, though, which might be defeating the object rather :o

enormouse · 10/06/2013 17:50

MrsGSR I was about 7 months along with DS before I burst any clothes. But it feels like the bump/bloat is sitting lower.

I'd like to point out that the cat was fine and barely noticed. No cats were harmed in the putting on of my jeans.

mythree I do think this DC will be another boy as I've had no ms, like with DS. but I am finding it harder than with DS so it could be a girl. As long as it's one or the other I'll be happy Wink

Sultanajo · 10/06/2013 17:51

enormouse that cracked me up too! Wish I was ever in skinny jeans, but sadly am too much of a curvy chick! Think Beyonce/JLo....Lol! Grin

Sultanajo · 10/06/2013 17:53

"as long as its one or the other"...! Omg enormouse that really tickled me! Grin

Sultanajo · 10/06/2013 17:56

toby I am stuck in the house, so luckily can get away with stretchy joggers! However, at some point this week gonna have to make myself presentable as DHs family are coming over - thinking will need the maternity jeans avec une belt! Shock

Sultanajo · 10/06/2013 17:58

Praying they are not coming tonight as nausea has really revved up - 5pm seems to be the time it goes up a gear and some days are better than others. Today aint good - plus I look a right scruff! Grin

TobyLerone · 10/06/2013 18:00

For me, it's about 3pm. And it goes on all night :( It's a bit of a bitch, isn't it?

MrsGSR · 10/06/2013 18:03

I tend to feel worse in the evenings to, maybe it needs to be renamed

Is anyone else ridiculously sensitive to heat? Our bedroom window is constantly open and I had to sit down for 10 minutes when cooking tea and boiling the pasta made me feel really faint!

Sultanajo · 10/06/2013 18:04

You said it! The other day it started in the morning like it used to. I guess at least I now seem to be getting it more mildly during the day so there is a bit of let up, but it sucks knowing the evening will be spent feeling like shite, especially as I have a two hour drive Wednesday evening - praying dont get stuck in traffic....thank god for air con!!! Sad

Sultanajo · 10/06/2013 18:05

mrsgsr really suffering with the heat - fans are constantly on and sweating big time at night (switching between mostly hot, with occasional moments of cold). Never happy! Grin

Sultanajo · 10/06/2013 18:07

I hereby rename it "fecking pain in the ass afternoon/evening sickness, with the odd morning thrown in...." Grin

enormouse · 10/06/2013 18:18

Yes, omg! The f**king night sweats! I am so sensitive to heat right now. My DP cuddled up to me last night and I snapped 'you're like a bloody furnace, get away from me! NO CUDDLING!' I could even feel heat coming off him at the other side of the bed.

If I wasn't 24 and pregnant I'd be convinced I was going through the menopause.

Sultanajo · 10/06/2013 18:21

Lol enormouse! I am currently sleeping on the sofa because DH is like a furnace and when he turns over in bed it feels like I am on a boat and the nausea gets really bad! Bless him though - he let me have the bed the last two nights, but suspect I will be back on the sofa tonight....its a bit cooler downstairs though so thats a bonus!

Penny31 · 10/06/2013 20:00

Evening all,

Well, after 2-3 weeks of no nausea it's back! I was sick after my dinner last night me have felt dreadful all day. Ever since I got in from work ve kept eating because its the only thing that helps. Early night for me!

Agree that morning sickness is a ridiculous name for it and is very misleading!

Sultanajo · 10/06/2013 20:03

Oh penny so sorry its back! Grrrr! It sucks! Angry

extracrunchy · 10/06/2013 20:28

I called them again this morning and they said I should get an appointment in the post some time between now and 14 weeks.. Unbelievable!! Apparently there's a backlog.

I am not impressed.

MrsGSR · 10/06/2013 20:35

extra thats annoying!

I'm glad it's not just me pushing dh away when he tries to cuddle!

fryingpantoface · 10/06/2013 20:37

That's rubbish extra!

I've got my scan date, but not a booking in date! Apparently the Drs have been chasing it all weekend, but still not heard anything.

The hospital said they need two clear weeks between the booking in and the scan to make sure the computer was up to date

Sultanajo · 10/06/2013 20:39

Grrrrr extra! Thats bloody awful! I really feel for you! Just think how much you will appreciate it when it finally arrives....Hmm

Penny31 · 10/06/2013 20:44

extra that's a nightmare! Grrrr. Hopefully they are just covering their backs and you will get an appointment sooner than later

LittlePeaPod · 10/06/2013 20:47

Extra sorry to hear that... That's so shit... You have every right to be mad as hell.

Hi ladies, hope you are all well. Great to read about the wonderful scan news.

Can't remember who mentioned night sweats but I am getting them too. Go to bed cold then wake up and have to take top off as its soaked through....

Yonionekanobe · 10/06/2013 21:41

Night sweats here too. Although nothing like as bad as they are post birth!

That is so poor extra. Complete postcode lottery as ever with all things NHS.

Does anyone know if sickness peaks at any point. I am 10+4 and it is so much worse this week just when I was hoping it would begin to tail off.

LittlePeaPod · 10/06/2013 21:45

Yoni I am 9+6 and have felt sick for weeks... From whati hear/read everyone is different. Most people start feling better between 12 weeks and 14 weeks. As you an imagine I ave one a lot if research/reading on this Patricia sudject. Wink
