Hurray for the lovely scans 2day toby & frizz
loves I'm 10 weeks 2day too. Also feeling awful. Yesterday was rly bad, 2day not been as bad. Rly can't remember what it was like not to feel sick all day! Look forward to it all getting better. Also hoping I get my 12 wk scan through soon x

Yonionekanobe · 09/06/2013 19:14

Welcome yorkie and congratulations Toby and frizz

I am now in countdown to 12 week scan a week in Tuesday (18th). Nervous and excited all at once. In some ways I am more scared this time as since having DD two close friends have had bad news at this point. I am hoping the symptoms and fact there was a hb at 7 weeks means all will be okay.

Hope everyone has enjoyed the weekend. Not up for the working week at all Sad

Toothfairy78 · 09/06/2013 19:25

Welcome on board and congrats yorkie!

Well, all our family have been told to mark January in their calendars now!

Next up will be friends and the sports clubs who'll be wondering why I skived off training for so long.

I also put in my pre-order for knitted items with MIL in gender neutral colours. Smile

And I bought a pair of under the belly jeggings from Mothercare who have a buy one get one half price deal on at the moment in case anyone is interested.

And had a very productive afternoon scraping red paint from the quarry tiles around our fireplace. Die nasty red paint! Die!!! Aaaahhhhh kill destroy!!!

Not bad for a Sunday! Hope everyone else had a good one!

Frizz1986 · 09/06/2013 19:42

Welcome yorkie

I dont envy you teaching. I work in an office so I can at least snack when I need to and I am sat down all day!

Does sickness get worse at 10 weeks?? I just have nausea at the moment and seem to be able to keep on top of it (mostly) if I make sure I never get hungry. I just tend to feel a bit sick thinking about certain foods (never the same foods tho) Will be nice to get life a bit back to normal.

On another topic, is anyone taking photos of their growing bumps?
Me and dh are thinking of starting tomorrow and taking a photo every week to see how things grow (appear however to have a bit of a beer belly effect at the moment - water retention I assume)

BuntCadger · 09/06/2013 19:53

Been off for few days as been completely shattered, falling asleep each night when settling youngest 2.

I had booking in appt and edd is around 2nd jan but I think I ovd later so expecting scan to move it to mid jan. waiting for mw I sort scan as having baby at same hospital as my other dc but its not the automatic one for where I live.

Been seen by diabetic clinic as had gest diabetes with eldest, and abnormal bloods with other 2. Bmi is perfect at 22 and blood seem fine. Have to test 4x a day, and under consultant again.

Getting cramps and pain in bum cheek. Just want to be further along and able to relax a but more.

Mw talked about cvs etc if Nuchal test comes high risk. Dh had a chat and I don't think we'd want to have it, as it wouldn't change anything anyway.

Bluecarrot · 09/06/2013 20:12

Haven't been on in ages and will catch up when on laptop tomorrow but I want to second whoever said fatigue can ease at 9.5 weeks! I'm still tired but not the overwhemling exhaustion I had even a week ago.

No more nausea either except when confronted with strong smells.

I nearly cried on Wednesday though when I saw I was up 6 lbs but thankfully today I am actually only 2lbs up ( have cut out bread /toast which i was eating in excess before as it didn't make me feel pukey)

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and will only be 7 more days til my first scan. Ill be so relieved to see my little sweetpea. We are starting to tell people after the scan, starting with DD.
was chattig to her today about her friend who has a baby brother and she said she wishes she had a baby sibling to feed and change ( ie dress up in cute clothes) and teach it fun history facts! (DD is 10)

Frogcatcher · 09/06/2013 20:19

Well we took the plunge & told my SS today (8). He's really excited. Unfortunately I'm really tired & grumpy so he's had a bit of that today & he just got a real (but deserved) telling off for throwing toilet roll pellets from his bath onto the bathroom ceiling. Just left him with DP for a chat & punishment but it doesn't sound like he's getting punished as they're still watching recorded BGT. DP makes me so angry with his lack of discipline with him. At least when it's my child I'll be able to do it my way if I want to! Grrrrr. Rant over.

fryingpantoface · 09/06/2013 20:31

just checking in

I've read everyone's updates! Don't have much time to comment, toddler has been on one for a couple of days!

x

chocoloulou33 · 09/06/2013 20:31

Forgot to say I weighed myself 2day & have lost 6lbs since I got pg. That's what u get from throwing up all the live long day!! X

Frizz1986 · 09/06/2013 21:02

Uh oh.....i honestly havent really put on much weight since the pg. Maybe a few lbs, but after wearing a dress to work last week, i tried on my size 10 trousers and i cant do the button up and the zip only goes half way (unless I want above ankle swingers)

Put on my size 12s and they only just fit! Think i might have to go to next on my lunch to get some maternity trousers!

farmersdaughter · 09/06/2013 21:18

Hello...

Have you missed me Wink

I've stopped being sick, so far. Utterly rubbish weekend, sunshine and me hugging the loo. Still not feeling great, but i've not been sick for 24hrs so that's a huge something.

I need to catch up fully and come back.

chocoloulou33 · 09/06/2013 22:10

frizz even though I've lost weight I'm still getting a pregnant belly! Just seems to have come off somewhere else.
farmers its so rubbish being sick all the time isn't it. Hopefully we'll be out of this stage very soon x

enjoyingscience · 09/06/2013 22:30

congrats on the good scans frizz and toby! Ace news.

I had a two hour nap this afternoon, after a lovely lunch with my mum, doing some gardening with DS and sorting the house out a bit. Would have been quite idyllic if I hadn't felt like I was on the bottom deck of a boat in a storm throughout. DP is being a hero, bring the very specific snacks I ask for and then taking them away again when I decide they are the wrong thing.

Bring on the second trimester. I want to bloom damn it! Scan date on 3rd July, which seems bloody ages away. Will be exactly 12 weeks.

Naturegirl82 · 09/06/2013 22:32

Glad everyone's scans went well today.

I'm dreading work tomorrow as I have to tell my boss I'm pg. I'd really rather wait till after scan as I seem to have lost any sense of logic that I possessed and am convinced I'm going to jinx this (and as yet no one has confirmed I am actually pg so may have made the whole thing up! I'm seriously losing my marbles!) But I have to get out of a team building event that we are not allowed to miss without a very good excuse. Feel sick just thinking about telling them Sad

extracrunchy · 10/06/2013 00:31

Well done with the scans, Toby and Frizz!

Welcome Yorkie!

Frizz - apparently MS peaks at 10 weeks then usually gets better. Here's hoping!

I've been hanging around in pjs all day today. So tired! And horribly grumpy. Poor DH Sad

lovelilies · 10/06/2013 07:57

Hello everyone,
back from France, it was amazing Grin grim to be home though Sad especially as the dog had 'loose stools' overnight on the kitchen floor. massive Labrador ones too aaargh cue a massive puke fest when muggins here had to clean it up Sad Sad Sad sorry for the tmi!
Glad scans went well for everyone, got booking apt with midwife on wed Grin

lovelilies · 10/06/2013 08:00

Also dreamed I had a mc last night, so all in all a shit start to the week. DD is 8 tomorrow so hopefully things will get better!

Frizz1986 · 10/06/2013 08:38

Glad u enjoyed ur break love and sorry about the pooch issues. Thankfully my dogs bowels have been doing ok so far so have managed to avoid such a situation!

I think I have a mc dream at least once a week but I also dream I win the euro millions and as that hasnt happened yet i am hoping the mc won't either.

BuntCadger · 10/06/2013 08:52

Tmi alert but panicking a bit. Had some light brown discharge since yesterday. Not loads but its there. Also cramping. Literally can't go to EPU today as ds2 doing funny hours at school and I have to be on hand as he's there for 2.5 hours in morning and 2 hours in afternoon (he has extra needs). And dh in France from tomorrow morning :(

Had a fairly physical weekend and big strop on Friday night which resulted in me jumping up and down 3 times like a toddler. I'm an idiot.

Actually I don't know if EPU would see me at all, and they're a 40 min drive away.

BuntCadger · 10/06/2013 08:52

Lovelies - poor you :( I think I'd of vomited too. Xx

lovelilies · 10/06/2013 09:06

bunt I know it's easier said than done but brown discharge shouldn't be a big worry, it's old blood. did someone mention a helpline number earlier on in the thread? maybe give them a ring for reassurance?
My friend is 22 weeks along and had a bleed with some clots, but all ok, it just happens sometimes...
Fx all ok with you. How many weeks are you?

Vatta · 10/06/2013 09:11

bunt - I think brownish discharge is meant to be ok, but call Tommys pregnancy line for advice - number is 0800 0147 800, and the website is www.tommys.org/page.aspx?pid=308

Fingers crossed for you.

Vatta · 10/06/2013 09:46

Morning Everyone!

Right time for me to catch up?gosh what a lot of chatting over the weekend Smile

Wow?scan time. Oh my gosh, how exciting. Toby and Frizz?.so pleased scans when well.

Frog going on holiday with mini frog will not be a honeymoon. Leave mini frog with GP's. And run for the beach / bar Grin

Rosa - I feel your pain. I was sideways hit over the weekend. Go for feeling brilliant, to sick in about 5 mins.

Yorkie - Welcome. Hope your appetite comes back soon.

Choco - Thank you

Nature - Hope telling your boss goes ok. I do know what you mean about jinxing things.

Love - Arghhh dog poo?.! I think that would of tipped my over the edge Grin Glad you had a lovely time away. I also have my booking appointment on Wednesday. EDD?

Bunt How are you today? I've had loads of discharge, it's horrid. As long as its not bright red try not to worry. not sure how you do this

Talking about bowels?I've not have a movement in a while Blush I've been so busy throwing up, I didn't notice. I think it might be down to my pregnacare pills. I'm not very good on Iron. Anyone else had this problem?

Feeling much better this morning. I go from feeling great to feeling sick in about 10 mins. DH and I had a row over the weekend. We never row. It just got a bit much and I snapped. {whoops} I got sent to bed! I don't think i've been sent to my room since I was about 9yr! Grin A small 2 hr nap later and I was feeling much better.

Today, I'm a bad mummy, i've dumped DD on the sofa to watch Ben and Holly. So I can catch up on MN.

farmersdaughter · 10/06/2013 10:03
