Oohhh, wedding dress shopping! How exciting! I got married when my DS was just 4 months (a tad stressful!) so I did most of my dress choosing/fittings whilst pregnant. I love my wedding dress and sometimes pop it on and trot round the house in it Blush One day my DH was moaning at me to hurry up and get ready to go out so I stormed upstairs and came back down in my wedding dress Grin Alas it is still hanging on the back of the spare room door as I cant bring myself to spend £100+ getting it cleaned and boxed.

I'm on a night shift at the mo hence then ridiculous time. Night shifts + early pregnancy def do not mix; I'm soooo tired.

Good luck for those having scans today. I'm still waiting for a date for mine.

Have a nice sunny Sunday everyone whilst I snooze the day away ...

LittlePeaPod · 09/06/2013 06:44

Thank you for sharing your experiences. From your comments I m now more determined than ever to try every dress on till I find the on I love...

Friz, Toby & anyon else having scans today. Good luck.....

LittlePeaPod · 09/06/2013 07:32

Thinking if you today toby and frizz

Sultanajo · 09/06/2013 08:29

Good luck today toby & frizz xx

Yonionekanobe · 09/06/2013 08:47

Good luck with the scans!

Dreams are so vivid at the moment. Really horrible/weird one last night. Dreamt that I dreamt (IYSWIM) that my BIL had died whilst I was away on a work trip. I told colleagues etc. returned home to find it was a dream. Confused

Naturegirl82 · 09/06/2013 09:47

I had two really horrible dreams about people dying last night. I ended up getting up really early in the end as I didn't want to go back to sleep after the second one Sad

Frogcatcher · 09/06/2013 09:49

Good luck with scans! I'm thinking about booking another one for 10 weeks - is that too loopy when I'll have had one at 8?! I'm just so worried I won't get to 12 weeks & loads of people know now. Ended up telling my friend last night then her friend just randomly guessed - she reckons she has a 6th sense for it.
The abdominal muscle needs to separate to make room for baby. I got told that if its very strong e.g. Athletes & Pilates teachers then it can split suddenly instead. Yes, 4at unfortunately it doesn't always go back as it should.
Well I was such a party pooper last night just ended up sitting down on the side eating all the crisps & then went home rather than going on with everyone. Unfortunately friends dog went mental when I started trying to pump up my air bed so had to sleep on sofa cushions instead. Not the most refreshing nights sleep ever!

LittlePeaPod · 09/06/2013 10:00

Frog its not crazy at all. I had a scan at 6+4, then 8+4 and I have three more booked. One next week at 10+4, NHS one at 11+6 and a private downs & other tests at 13+4.... IMO, you have to do what's right for you..... I say, book it... Grin

Hopefully all will be well (and i wont wet myself in the car on the way to the scan - full bladders are not easy these days!)

extracrunchy · 09/06/2013 10:04

Little I was 7 months pg with DS when I got married! Ended up getting a dress made and wasn't more expensive than buying. Lovely lady in west London - can send you her details if you like! Smile

extracrunchy · 09/06/2013 10:05

Good luck Toby and Frizz!! X

LittlePeaPod · 09/06/2013 10:05

Thanks, all. Scan is at 3.30.

Bikey86 · 09/06/2013 10:55

Good luck with the scans Toby and Frizz

I saw my wedding dress pinned to a manaquin at a wedding fair, booked as appointment at that shop...tried it on (along with others) and it was the one.

My mother in law washed it as best she could and as it was made of taffata it could go in the washing machine. We had some photos taken in a field that was full of sheep poo...can't get that off!! Then I bought a big white box from ebay which came with acid free tissue to wrap it in. Wish I could wear it again, certainly won't be wearing on for our first anniversary as I planned (september) as my bump won't fit in it!!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 09/06/2013 10:55

frizz and toby good luck for scans today - looking forward to hearing from you both afterwards.

toby and yoni I dreamed I had the baby at my booking-in appt (10+5 - Hmm), which didn't hurt at all Hmm, and then it was bfing (by this point it looked about 6 months old) and I suddenly realised I didn't have any clothes for it, so I had to cut up a curtain with one hand. Very Sound of Music.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 09/06/2013 10:56

betty also, your story made me Grin a lot! My DH would love that - he's always telling me to hurry up and get ready...

curlywurlyllass · 09/06/2013 11:08

Bettyboo i hear u with the nightshifts, i do a mix of days n nights and trying to turn body clocks around lately has been awful

Hope you have all got sunshine, ive started the washing chores and the clouds r out, typical!

Thinking of u all

MrsVDB · 09/06/2013 11:36

Good luck everyone with scans. I'm going to epu on Tuesday morning so I can get some reassurance . Boobs still don't hurt and not nearly as tired as I was but still feel hungover and now pretty sicky so thinking/ hoping symptoms have just changed.

I'm with you frog I think all the alcohol free cider gave me tummy ache the shits so had a bit of an excuse when I left at 10.30.

curly I had pain when I was dehydrated so now just make sure I always carry a bottle of water

I wish my dress still fitted, not even 2 years ago and I don't think it would fit nearly now!! Mines also still dirty in the hanger case thing it came in. Had such good intentions to dry clean and properly box but at about £150 it's not a priority

Penny31 · 09/06/2013 11:43

Good luck with the scans!

I've been symptom free for almost a week now, well still majorly tired by 8pm which is t normal. Apart from that I feel fine now. I'm not toooo worried because I can hear a fast heartbeat on my Doppler :) I also have a rather round/flabby tummy. Only 9 days to wait for my 12 week scan!

Hope you are all enjoying a nice ans warm weekend!

extracrunchy · 09/06/2013 11:58

Little - here! www.nikkij.co.uk/

extracrunchy · 09/06/2013 12:01

Curlywurly it might be your pelvis expanding - sacral joint is at the back nearish kidneys and doesn't move except when you're pregnant! Mine is absolute murder on one side, same as last time.

Frogcatcher · 09/06/2013 13:25

I'm still waiting for my DP to get divorced let alone propose! I'm not the scarlet woman that makes me sound as he separated about 7 yrs ago but they never got round to finalising the divorce. He's promised it will be done by the time baby is born & the first papers have been filed so its in progress. We won't be rushing to get married tho as I don't really want to take froglet on honeymoon so it will have to be old enough to be left with GPs. Is that awful?!

LittlePeaPod · 09/06/2013 13:34

Extra thanks for the link

Penny I am green withEnvy about yor last week. I can't wait.. How far along are you now?

Frog that's not bad at all. My SIL left their DC1 with GP when he was 6 weeks old to go on honeymoon. He was perfe try happy and never cause him any harm or caused any issues with attachment.i know not everyone agrees with it but I don't see a problem with it.... Smile
