Pilates frog? You are good. I think if you go, the rest of us don't need to? That's right isn't it? Grin Have fun!

MrsVDB · 08/06/2013 09:43

frog I know what you mean about drunken nights out! I'm going to be sat in a pub all day today and out tonight but have bought some sneaky alcohol free beers and cider and will take in my bag and try and sneak into glasses so people think I'm drinking! Imagine if I get kicked out for sneaking drinks in when they're not even alcohol ha ha

Frogcatcher · 08/06/2013 09:46

I think I'm just going to 'fess up to my friend. I told her we were TTC & I'm staying at her house so there will be champagne beforehand. I'll just slip her all my drinks when were out!

Gabbyj · 08/06/2013 10:08

Have fun at Pilates Frog.

Hope you are ok MrsV - unexpected discharge is one of the untold joys of pregnancy! Tmi alert, I initially kept thinking it was my period starting and the whole thing had been some kind of weird dream!

I think you're right Book, if Frog goes to Pilates the rest of us can stay in bed?...

Hated going to work yesterday after my line manager "let drop" my pregnancy in 'that meeting' (can I mix the 2 male insults and call her a cuntwobble / cockpuffin)? Found myself acting very furtively - it's very difficult as I don't know who knows. This is what paranoia feels like!!! My dh is the crossest I've ever seen him, but there you go, the deed is done and I can't turn back the clock!

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely Saturday!

Gabbyj · 08/06/2013 10:11

Have fun with the wedding dress shopping Pod - how exciting!

Hope all ok Book. X

carrotcakecupcake · 08/06/2013 13:52

MrsV Sounds like we're having the same day. Meeting friends for afternoon drinks and am stressing pver how I'll sneak non-alcoholic beers at the bar! Manages it when we had a bbq at home last week, hoping today everyone will sit outside and I can do my sneaky business inside at the bar.
Spent yesterday with two close friends and their little ones. Fended off multiple queries about babies...such a nightmare lying to friends Sad Also v tricky when one said she'd had two dreams this week that I was preggo and having a girl...only three-ish more weeks to go Grin

Frogcatcher · 08/06/2013 15:27

Well antenatal Pilates was good so you can all feel virtuous & eat chocolate. Instead of my normal class where I now have to do less challenging modifed exercises compared to the others & feel like a cop out, in antenatal as I was the least pg one there obviously I was the one doing the least modified version. Came away feeling really good from the ego boost exercise.

Frogcatcher · 08/06/2013 15:29

Oh apart from hearing about the horrors of your rectus abdominus muscle splitting when pg if you have a very strong core Shock

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 08/06/2013 16:04

frog your rectus saywhatnow muscle? Please tell me that will not happen. I have no muscles that I know of - am I safe?

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 08/06/2013 16:04

Well done on the pilates though. V virtuous. Grin

LittlePeaPod · 08/06/2013 16:06

Frog. Really? Why would it spilt? Can't Yoga or Pilates help... Sad

Thanks ladies... Went for my dress and I could find a single one... All not right particularly because I will be 24 weeks and we are getting married in a really hot climate on the beach.... Sad. Oh well, will keep trying.. At least I know what I don't want... May need to head to London as time is running out... Why do I always leave things till the last minute.....

frog so if your rectus wotsit can split when pg n have a strong core, does this mean we have been told lies by our fitness instructors???

Sultanajo · 08/06/2013 16:28

Lol humpty I was thinking the same - knew there was a reason I quit the gym! Grin

Well done frog I am mega impressed and I bet u feel proud of yourself!!!

pod what a shame you didnt find the one. However, being able to narrow down your options is definitely an achievement! Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 08/06/2013 17:11

Pod I took about 11 visits to different shops to find my wedding dress. I tried designer, discount, independent - everything. I found it in an old-fashioned place on the high streeet where my old school is. You'll find something, and it'll be worth the wait.

Just had a thought - have I missed something, or has gobbolinothewitchescat vanished? I just saw her on another thread and I am sure she was on this before...

TobyLerone · 08/06/2013 18:14

Pod were none of the Tiffany Rose ones (or similar) to your liking?

OMG I love this!

Or this, if you don't have giant boobs.

This?

Love this.

Halter neck?

Shopping for wedding dresses is way more fun than shopping for my own!

BookTart · 08/06/2013 18:29

Ooh, good shopping toby, I think the last three are absolutely lovely. There are some gorgeous things on Tiffany Rose. I've just scared the crap out of partner looking at maternity wedding dresses Grin

TobyLerone · 08/06/2013 18:53

I loathed wedding dress shopping, and ended up looking like a lardy lump because I picked one which highlighted all my bad bits. This is because I didn't want a wedding dress at all, so I bought the very first one I tried on in the only shop I went in. 6 months later, I look back at the photos and only see how happy I look and how much everyone is smiling all the time, so I'm glad I didn't stress too much about it.

I kind of wish I was doing it pregnant, though, cos then I'd be meant to be a bit lardy :o

Sultanajo · 08/06/2013 19:05

I love the last three too! Makes me wanna do it all over again knocked up! Grin

Sultanajo · 08/06/2013 19:08

humpty yes gobbo was on this thread - not heard from the lovely lady in a while....Sad

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 08/06/2013 19:16

toby that 'flutter' dress is DIVINE. I loved shopping for mine - I might go and try on a few maternity ones when I have a bump hides wedding ring

sultana on the other thread, about 4 or 5 days ago she mentioned she was pg, so hopefully she just got bored of us and wandered off. She is my EDD twin, which is why it occurred to me...

Toothfairy78 · 08/06/2013 19:32

Well, I started the ball rolling and just told my dad he's gonna be a granddaddy! He was rather excited.

Next up dh's folks and my 2 brothers!

Oh, and can I say frog thanks for taking one for the team by doing that Pilates class. Smile

4athomeand1cooking · 08/06/2013 19:46

frog mine split with the last pregnancy. Leaves you looking 9 months pregnant still and very hard to get back. Mine never went back and if I put on a little weight, it seems to full up in that area first. So many times people assumed I was pregnant. Very Blush

Sultanajo · 08/06/2013 19:53

Ah humpty. Your twin has deserted us! Hopefully she will come back....

My mum was telling me that there was an article recently saying that women who wore corset type items following birth had their muscles knitting back together more easily. When I looked at it it would seem to get the benefit you should wear it 24 hours a day for weeks to months following birth! Bit of an uncomfortable commitment!!!Shock

4athomeand1cooking · 08/06/2013 19:53

mrsv it is all normal. It is not so much that your symptoms go completely but your body does adjust and get used to it. You might find that around 8.5 weeks you feel it all again. White discharge is normal.

book how far are you. I feel my uterus all the time but I am very sensitive to body changes. If you are towards the end of your first trimester, you might be aware of the uterus moving upwards to allow the baby to grow.

4athomeand1cooking · 08/06/2013 19:56

sult my mum said the same. She said in her day, all women wore maternity belts for during pregnany and corsets for after.

Tis what all the celebs do Grin
