MrsV sorry you are worried. I started getting the discharge at about 6/7 weeks and I still fe it now. In fact woke up with a load this morning (tmi). The is charge is normal unless you start spotting red blood. I ave also read lots of women have had thir symptoms come and go. But if yo are orie I would contact your EPU... I had a ms last time so completely under an how worrying changes like this dan be...

Thanks pea. I'm hoping the discharge is normal. Just can't shake the feeling that I don't feel pregnant any more. I don't suppose a&e would scan me on the weekend and epu is closed so ill wait to Monday and see how I feel. Meant to be going away with friends for the night but worried in case the worse happens when I'm there

Bikey86 · 08/06/2013 07:33

Mrsv if it helps at all I have had a lot more discharge than usual and I'm 7w today too. I hope that's a little reassurance.

Pea so exciting about the dress fitting, when's the big day??

LittlePeaPod · 08/06/2013 07:33

Honestly I wouldn't worry... I am sure all is well. No spotting and no cramping is a really positive sign. But it's so understandable to be worried following your previous experience. I remember been really edgy until I got to 9 weeks but even now I still get panicky... Try not to worry too much. Flowers

I get loads of discharge (tmi!). I'm also one of those lucky ones without many symptoms but I had my early scan & everything was fine. I can understand how you must be worried esp if you had a mc before but try not to Flowers. Call EPU on Monday if you want the reassurance or if you can afford it you could always see if there is a private clinic near you open today.

LittlePeaPod · 08/06/2013 07:39

MrsV. Here us a link that may help a little... www.health-and-parenting.com/yuck-vaginal-discharge-during-pregnancy/

Congratulations on the wedding pea what an exciting year!

I'm worried about the discharge as (tmi) it's thick. Normal pregnancy discharge is thin according to dr google And thick discharge can be a sign of mc . It's all so worrying.

enormouse · 08/06/2013 07:55

MrsV I'm having loads of discharge atm and have had no ms and the hormone induced rages seem to be subsiding. but if you need reassurance I think you should contact nhs direct, if not your epu. Hope this helps a little.

LittlePeaPod · 08/06/2013 08:08

MrsV. It's normal to have thick discharge.. Mine is and creamy white. In the first 5 weeks it was thin and watery but then changed to thick... My MW said that's perfectly normal bless it starts getting smelly (tmi)

Sultanajo. What's the pregnancy advice line again? Give them a call ^MrsV* They are really helpful..

MrsVDB · 08/06/2013 08:11

Thanks everyone. Feeling a bit more positive after all the messages :)

Sultanajo · 08/06/2013 08:32

Hey mrsv my discharge is also thick creamy and white. Google the Tommys pregnancy line - they are fab for advice, but are only there monday to friday I think...

pod its reassuring to know I am not the only one thinking along those lines. Other people have also had differing results with nhs and private. I will probably change my nhs scan to a purely dating scan if I go ahead with the harmony, who also do the nuchal as part of the package.... Jack Sparrow vid is hilarious!!!

toast you are welcome and yes, there will always be something to worry about it would seem!!!Grin

Sultanajo · 08/06/2013 08:34

Hope you feel like a princess pod trying on all the dresses and dont have a "bridesmaids" moment!,Grin Let us know how u get on xxx

TobyLerone · 08/06/2013 08:58

Have fun, pod. Rather you than me!

Sorry you're worried, MrsV :( Could you book a private scan for reassurance?

I've just woken up, which is a massive lie-in for me! Got to go to Canterbury today so DH can get his hair cut. Exciting...

BookTart · 08/06/2013 08:58

mrsv, mine changed at 7 weeks to be more like my pre-pregnancy discharge

pod have a fabulous time trying on all the dresses. Do try not to hurl on anything white in case it stains Grin

I'm panicking yet again and would be grateful for some advice again. Sorry, I can't talk to partner about it and nobody that knows IRL has ever had children so they won't be able to help either. Basically, yesterday I could suddenly 'feel' my uterus, everything feels very heavy there. I had some light cramps and backache, but the heaviness is just weird. I also (TMI alert), had a bit of a rummage to see what was going on and I have a cervical polyp (already knew about that) but it is dangling out Blush. I was not expecting this, and now I'm worrying about it. I treied calling the EPU but they don't have anyone in at the weekend, and I don't see my midwife for the first time until Friday (at nearly 10 weeks!). Has anyone had a polyp in a previous pregnancy or anything? I've had a Google obviously, but there is a lot of conflicting stuff about whether it is fine to ignore or whether it will cause me to miscarry.

TobyLerone · 08/06/2013 09:00

No idea, sorry Book. I think the heaviness is probably normal, but no idea about the polyp. Call EPU on Monday, perhaps?

MrsVDB · 08/06/2013 09:07

booktart no experience I'm afraid but could you go to out of hours gp just for them to have a look?

BookTart · 08/06/2013 09:07

Cheers Toby, I'll give them a try on Monday. I'm sure it is fine, I'm just over anxious!

Oh, and I may bump into you in Canterbury later (along with a million tourists!)

BookTart · 08/06/2013 09:09

I've never done out of hours before mrsvdb, but my GP is utterly useless. I might see if I can get an emergency appt on Monday though.

I'm meant to be going to a friend's tomorrow (3 hours each way!)- not sure what to do.

TobyLerone · 08/06/2013 09:19

:o Book. I'll be sure to speak French and wear a massive backpack so you can pick me out.

Oh, wait...

TobyLerone · 08/06/2013 09:20

OOH at the WHH is a special kind of hell. Don't do it!

MrsVDB · 08/06/2013 09:23

book I've got the same dilemma and was going to cancel but cuntpuffin dh said I should go and take my mind off it. Think he's right. Can't stay in moping all day (even though I want to!!)

Frogcatcher · 08/06/2013 09:28

Right I'm being v virtuous & am off to antenatal Pilates. It says 12 weeks plus on the website but I missed my normal class & my teacher cleared it with this one. A bit scared that I'm going to be faced with loads of massive bumps really struggling to do it & get scared as to what the future holds!

Then off to a friends 40th later. It's going to be v drunken for everyone but me!

MrsGSR · 08/06/2013 09:31

MrsV my symptoms have come and gone a bit, I was worried a few days ago as I felt fine but they were all back again (and stronger) the next day. loads of people don't have any symptoms at all and are fine. thicker discharge can be a symptom of thrush, which is apparently really common in pregnancy because of the hormonal changes (I had it when I had a ovarian cyst so I'm expecting to get it again at some point! )

I've woken up much calmer this morning!
