Lol enormouse. A friend of mine was obsessed with Michael Bolton when we were growing up! Good luck with your driving!

bikey thats exactly it - when there are two of u and one of u feels strongly you have to respect that and go with it so you are both happy....

Toothfairy78 · 07/06/2013 18:46

My DP used to be obsessed with Michael Bolton Blush He's seen him in concert 8 times. Not with me I hasten to add.

Sultanajo · 07/06/2013 19:16

frog thats hilarious! My DH has had some dodgy choices in recent years, but he would probably say the same about me!

farmersdaughter · 07/06/2013 19:23

Evening all,

Just checking in. Have spent all day feeling rough as shit. Had a few hur went I felt able to drag my sorry butt off the sofa to see a friend and get our nails done. had to put cotton wool up my nose to block out the smells. not such a great look Grin
Till bang on 6pm this evening I threw up, 3 times.
DH said I went from a pretty shade of green to my normal colour in 30 secs. DH came and held my hair as as I cried down the loo. Blush This time it was half digestive biscuits that made me run for the loo.

Oddly I was sick at 6am this morning too.

Wonder if this is a patterned.

Hope everyone is having a good evening, this thread is making me laugh. Funny lot. Wink

Xx

This is my first pregnancy (and first post on mumsnet).

Currently 8 weeks with Booking Appointment/Scan booked for 26th June. At the moment the whole thing feels completely unreal, the only signs I have are lack of periods and, obviously, positive pregnancy tests (x3). I've not had any sickness, which I know I shouldn't be complaining about, but at the moment I feel like I'm going to turn up for my scan and get told that I must have made it all up. Has anyone else experienced this?

sarahleanne · 07/06/2013 20:05

i like willies

sarahleanne · 07/06/2013 20:11

oh my god ladies please excuse my dh's comment above,he has the mental age of a 5 yr old...as do most men Blush

Vatta · 07/06/2013 20:32

sarahleanne - none of us would be on this thread if we didn't like willies, so don't worry about it!

Sultanajo · 07/06/2013 20:34

Welcome thatstoast & huge congratulations! Very natural to worry nothing is in there, even when u have tons of symptoms! Sounds as though u may be one of the lucky ones who escapes the horrible nausea and ms! Grin

sarah had a little inkling you didnt write that post! Grin

sarahleanne · 07/06/2013 20:49

haha vatta that made me laugh. sultan thankyou,it means a lot haha. bloody men!! do they ever grow up, I think not Grin

thatstoast · 07/06/2013 21:35

Thanks SultanaJo. I know I'm lucky to avoid all that stuff, just want know everything is ok. Can't wait for the scan and hopefully I'll be a bit calmer, although possibly I'll just find something else to worry about.

sarahleanne do thank your husband for that message. I thought it was some kind of initiation for new posters. Grin

MrsGSR · 07/06/2013 22:39

I haven't caught up yet, and I know it's late so most of you will probably be asleep, I have a temperature of 38, no other symptoms of illness, should I be worried?

TobyLerone · 07/06/2013 23:11

Why did you take your temp, MrsG?

MrsGSR · 07/06/2013 23:15

My husband reckoned I felt hot, but I've just sent him out for a digital thermometer (I love 24 hour asdas) and the digital one is reading normal, so possibly a false alarm. I took 1 paracetamol but I doubt it would have an effect already, and I retook with the old thermometer and is still reading high so I'm guessing the old one is just broken (its one that you hold to your forehead and the Square changes colour)

I'm now officially a paranoid crazy pregnant woman.

TobyLerone · 07/06/2013 23:15

This says see a dr if you have a temp over 37.5 without symptoms as it could be a sign of infection.

Call MW/111 in the morning maybe? Just to check.

TobyLerone · 07/06/2013 23:16

Oh god. They are super unreliable. If the digital one says you're fine, stop being insane paranoid and go to bed! :o

MrsGSR · 07/06/2013 23:20

Yeah, I've literally took my temperature 7 times in the last half an hour. And then cried when it came back as normal. I'm going to sleep now and hoping to wake up a normal person again!

TobyLerone · 07/06/2013 23:21

I like all your stories of crazy paranoia. I relay them to DH and then he thinks I'm normal :o

LittlePeaPod · 08/06/2013 06:23

Sulanajo you are welcome. you need to do what's right for you and what helps keep you least worried. I was speaking to SIL (20 weekish with DC 2) about downs test etc. and she did what DF and I are doing. She says she felt so much better having had the extra testing (downs/everything else etc.) and she felt the private testing gave much more detailed results. She was in the NHS screening for about 10/15 minutes for downs where as the private screening was about 30/40 minutes and much more thorough for example. Interestingly the results were different! We are now booked in on 6th July when we will be 13+4 for private screening (downs and everything etc.) and we have the NHS screening on the 24th June when I will be 11+6. On a lighter note, loving the Jack Sparrow vid... Grin

Sarah I am with Toby on this one. There is no excuse on earth that justifies MrsV or anyone else getting that kind of verbal battering.. It's bang out of order. He has has behaved like a total dickward.. Hope you are feeling better MrsV Flowers and good on you for sticking to your guns. I told DF about it and he was really shocked and couldn't understand why anyone would think that, never mind say it. He sends Flowers too.

Bikey hope you feel better today and with you on the respect issue btw....

Farmer sorry to hear you feel so pants... Hope you feel better soon..

Thatstoast congratulations and welcome Flowers. It's normal to worry about every little thing... Grin

MrsGSR hope everything is alright with you and you were jut having night sweats. My temperature levels have gone mental since falling pregnant. One minute I am freezing cold and the next i get night sweats.....

As for the MW notes.. No way Am I carrying that massive bundle about. My MW said I only need to take them to all appointments.... So today I have my wedding dress fitting/choosing appointment at 12..... Grin. So looking forward to it... she says hoping she doesn't hurl on the dresses Grin

Just posted this on another thread but have you ladies got any experience of this?

Over the last couple of days all my symptoms have gone and I just don't feel pregnant anymore. I'm also having thick white/ cream discharge only since my symptoms went. I had a miscarriage last year at the same stage and knew it had happened before it actually did if you know what I mean. I just felt it.

I've not had any bleeding or bad cramps so I don't know if I should go to epu/ a&e but I just know. I'm 7w. Any experience of this please?
